   Was really excited to try this place. Went to celebrate my fiancé’s 40th birthday. The whole time, there was N overwhelming smell of sewage coming from the bathroom. It made it very difficult to enjoy the experience. The food was also not very good. The fish we had was very dry. The service was also very slow and took forever. By the time we were given a drink menu and revived our cocktails, we had already finished our meals. Overall would not recommend.

   Our overall experience was excellent! The restaurant boasts a prime waterfront location along Eagle Beach, making it the perfect spot to enjoy a breathtaking sunset. Our server, Osha, was incredibly attentive and offered great suggestions from the menu. We never felt rushed, which made the evening even more enjoyable. The seabass, pasta, and salad were all superb—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. My wife and I truly appreciated the relaxed, scenic atmosphere and outstanding service. We’ll definitely return on our next visit to Aruba!

   Awesome experience! We had Denise as our waitress and I had emailed with Luz ahead of time and she assisted me in setting up a photographer and flowers to be at our table, I proposed to my girlfriend and it was perfect right on the beach during the sunset, couldn’t have been happier with the service from the team !

   It’s breaks my heart to write this but here goes. Please be forewarned that there is a sewage smell that is unbearable. We went 3 years ago and it was beautiful and memorable. We returned in 2025 and was hit by the sewage smell as soon as we stepped out of taxi. The location is beautiful, the service is great, unfortunately until Aruba fixes this problem this restaurant will not survive. The smell does not go away. I’ve been told if you get a day when wind blowing in other directions it ok. Unfortunately it is not worth the risk. I wish them the best of luck and hope they resolve this issue. Take my advice and eat elsewhere until this is cleared up.

   4th visit was another amazing experience. Denise(waitress) remembered us from last year and she was amazing. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience from beginning to end. The only thing was the smell from stagnant water far enough away not to affect the food quality. I think it’s sad the Aruban government won’t allow the problem to be fixed. However that won’t stop us from coming again, because after the wind died down it was all good,

    Passions on the beach used to be one of our favorite romantic restaurants in Aruba. This time the smell of the sewage treatment center was overwhelming as well as the flies and gnats that kept landing in our food. We won’t be going back until Aruba fixes the sewage plant. It’s a shame but it’s hard to eat dinner with the smell of raw sewage consuming the atmosphere.
