   We had the pleasure of dining at Parlor Woodfire Kitchen & Crafts in San Clemente this Mother’s Day, and it was nothing short of fantastic! We originally connected with the owner, Russ, while purchasing gift cards for a client, and he personally recommended we try the restaurant. He also suggested we ask for Joe, the manager—and we’re so glad we did! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted like family. The service was warm, attentive, and genuinely enthusiastic about the menu. We started with the Creamy Burrata & Heirloom Tomatoes, which was fresh and flavorful. For our entrées, we enjoyed the Crispy Chicken Parmesan (the hand-cut fettuccine was a standout!), the BBQ Chicken Pizza, and the Spaghetti Carbonara. Everything was made in-house, and it showed—the flavors were balanced, fresh, and absolutely delicious. Even the pizza sauce, which had a touch of mustard, was subtle and perfectly blended. Joe made the experience even more memorable. He took the time to visit every table, checking in with guests and making everyone feel welcome. As a bonus, we were given a sneak peek at their new downstairs speakeasy—such a cool touch and something we can’t wait to come back for! Whether you’re planning a date night, entertaining clients, or grabbing a great family dinner, this spot checks all the boxes. Highly recommend!

   Our dinner was great! We had the prime rib special . Sebastian our server was very good, second time we had him. Would definitely recommend.

   I really want to like this spot but it keeps disappointing. We ordered two pizzas (a truffled mushroom and margarita) and two salads (arugula and roasted chicken). I asked for dressing on the side and it came drenched in dressing. Otherwise it would have been very good. The pizza was so blah. The crust was crusty without any fluff. The soul of the pizza was as thin as they come. Very unimpressed with the food. The service was ok but not great enough to where I would go back.

   Second time there and just like the first time; food was delicious and service was exceptional! Shout out to Brynn our server… you’re the best!

   Everything was fantastic. The staff was very attentive, but not overbearing. I appreciated that they had a team approach with many circulating in the dining room checking on water, removing dishes and making sure everything was OK. when we left everybody thanked us for being there and it seemed very sincere.

   This is a hip, lively, and enjoyable restaurant in San Clemente. Upon being seated, Joe, one of the owners, came by and introduced himself, and chatted with us, which was really nice, and made us feel welcome and relaxed. We ordered the fennel sausage pizza, arugula salad, and spaghetti carbonara. The arugula salad was a showcase for how to make stars out of simple ingredients. The pasta was made in house, and is as good as what we tasted in Italy. The pizza, for me, needed some tomato sauce, with the natural sweetness to balance the saltiness of the cheese and sausage. But, cooked properly in their wood fired oven. Their corkage, at $20, is very fair. We will return!

    More than just pizza. Pasta dish and half chicken were great. Sat on the patio very nice.
