Downtown Raleigh Restaurant located at the entrance of the Warehouse District, Parkside is situated on the corner of West Martin and South Dawson streets across from historic Nash Square. It was this urban park, one of the four original parks in downtown that inspired the name Parkside. Housed at street level and under the longest running neon restaurant sign in North Carolina you will find our doors, which have been the threshold to hospitality for this neighborhood for over one hundred years. Parkside believes in continuing this tradition in every way. From the warm red brick and reclaimed barn wood clad bar to the NC solid poplar tabletops, we want our guests to feel welcome. Whether you are sampling one of our 25+ beers on tap or enjoying our chef inspired locally sourced fare, your experience is our priority.

Pleasant food, friendly and fast service, we spent a long time chatting at the table after we finished brunch and no one hurried us. Very nice.

Food was much better than the last visit! Everyone enjoyed their meal, service was great. There were some extra charges on the bill for drinks that were not but our server quickly took care of it.

Me and my wife visited Parkside for brunch on Black Friday and were pleasantly surprised. The food, service, and atmosphere were all excellent. We will be returning soon.

Their Banana Foster Challah Bread is so good! Highly recommend brunch here. They do brunch on Saturdays from 7AM-3PM and Sundays until 5PM.

We liked the ambience and our server was great. The filet in my steakhouse salad wasn’t lean so I didn’t eat most of it, but the rest of the salad was fine. My husband enjoyed his fish & chips and my daughter enjoyed her meatloaf.

Very crowded for a Sunday brunch...glad we had reservations. Still had to wait awhile. Our server was polite, friendly, competent but like all places right now, was overloaded with customers. We'll go back again but may try for a less popular time.

Appetizers were average. My green beans were very al dented and cold. My porch chop was burnt on one side. Hostess wasn't pleasant, waitress was good.

Parkside has a nice ambiance in a pub-type atmosphere. I rather enjoyed that much of it. The service was friendly, if incredibly rushed. Our appetizer came to the table about a minute after our drinks. The main course was on the table within five minutes of the appetizer hitting the table. Food was clearly thrown in a microwave and reheated. Staff were friendly, but I certainly felt rushed out the door. Food was lackluster, and overpriced. I could've had a meal of similar quality at any TGIFriday's or whatever generic chain for half the price.

I don't see any reason to return here, I set about looking for a pub-type restaurant, so my expectations weren't set high, but still I was remarkably disappointed.

Birthday dinner and we had a GREAT time!! Our server Jules was so amazing! Apparently a server walked out in the middle of their shift but you would never know! Still prompt and attentive.

Chicken parm. was really good and the chicken sandwich was great according to my hubby. Great portion sizes!

My fiancé and I travel a lot and we only attend top rated restaurants because we prefer the best service regardless of the price. Unfortunately this location is definitely not a place we will ever visit again. Upon entering this place looks amazing and we had a good feeling the food would be great but not so much; our waitress seems to have been a bit too loose or possibly not caring. We waited about 5 mins for water which had lipstick stains on both glasses, we waited about 10 mins for another waitress/hostess to bring the coffee which had stains on the cup again and food remains on the spoons. We then requested plastics and foam cups and that’s when the waitress stop coming to our table and sent someone else to bring the food and ask us we’re we doing ok. We flagged her down for the check and she came back 3 times in 5 mins to grab the book and that’s the most we seen her that morning. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my nosey rude neighbor let alone a stranger looking for a hot meal. The most I can say is you’re have better chances at the bar than a booth. Overall the eggs were not bad, the banana foster pancakes were about 3 stars and very tough, the grits were gritty and tasteless.

Enjoyed a date night on our first visit to Parkside. We were greeted warmly, seated (with a res) immediately and everyone was so friendly. I had Short Rib Stroganoff that was fabulous - so creamy and rich and the meat was perfect. My husband had the Steak Frites which he thoroughly enjoyed and his fries were perfect. Great option to add a house salad for a crazy reasonable price. The food was delicious, our server Allison was engaging and efficient. We moved to the bar for drinks after dinner and both bartenders were friendly and attentive. Nice wine selection and great beer selection. We are looking forward to our next visit!

We arrived at noon on a Friday and the place was busy but we were seated right away. I had the burger with brie and arugula. It was delicious! My friend had the salad with fruit and she said it was very good. The restaurant is noisy but everyone seemed to enjoy the character and vibe; would be a great after work place to grab a bite and drink.

The price fix special was a great deal. The service was excellent. My wife and I enjoyed what we ordered. The raspberry donut cheesecake was worth the trip. Convenient downtown location with parking next door. We will definitely go back to other items on diverse regular menu.

We went on Saturday around 5 pm. The food was fair / ok . We ordered the restaurant week ‘3 course meal’. and the best part was the dessert. The mushroom ravioli / sauce was average. The atmosphere was pretty good and music was enjoyable but vent above was pushing out too much cold air and they said they couldn’t adjust it. The other food (meatloaf/steak) was on the cool side too. However the waitress was friendly and attentive.

Good but not great. We pass this restaurant all the time driving past its neon “Restaurant” sign driving south on S Dawson St, so we decided to drop in and during Downtown Restaurant Week too. Early Friday evening, they were already crowded, with lots of people picking up carry out as well. The menu and service are basic, comfortable but nothing remarkable. The crowd was noisy but we could still have a conversation. They have lots of choices for Restaurant Week and the fixed menu is a good value. It’s good to see this old location doing well.
