Food was delicious with many options. The fish selection was great, and super fresh! Desserts were also beautifully made and there were many appealing choices. Every one that we tasted ( almost all of them!) was perfect! Patio setting was delightful and the umbrella kept the sun off. Unfortunately our service was not attentive. Server did not wear a name tag and never introduced himself to us. He wasn’t around too much during our meal and did not offer refills of coffee or water. We noted that there was a 22% service change added to our bill, which provided a good tip for him ( we were told 18% goes to the server), so maybe he didn’t feel as if he needed to make an effort(?). Sad because we love the Park Hyatt and our experience is so much better when service shines as much as food does!

We attended the Easter Brunch and Easter Egg Hunt. Had I known that the Park Hyatt scheduled a large Indian Wedding at exactly the same time, using the entire valet area, entrance, lobby, and grassy area where the Easter Egg Hunt was to be held, I would not have made my reservation. No cars were allowed in the valet area at around 10:45 am. The cars were backed up in the street trying to arrive for the 11:00 am Easter Egg Hunt. We were instructed by the valets to leave our cars and walk to the front entrance. We then had to walk through all of the Indian Wedding Bridal Party and Guests in the valet area, entrance, and lobby. Since the wedding took over the grassy area where the Easter Egg Hunt had been advertised, and there were no signs directing us to where the Easter Egg Hunt was being held, everyone was having to go to the Front Desk and ask for directions. They held the Easter Egg Hunt downstairs at the far end in a banquet room. We could then step on the patio to have a picture taken with the Easter Bunny. There was no grass in site. We were there with a soon to be 1 year old for his First Easter. The banquet rooms were divided by 0 - 5 years old, and 5 years old and up. We were in the 0 - 5 years old. The eggs were laying on the carpet instead of being hidden in grass. Obviously the old kids swooped them all up immediately and walked around with baskets chocked full of eggs, while the little kids had nothing. I understand that the Resort needs to sell rooms and book weddings, but whomever thought that it was a good idea to book an extravagant Indian Wedding on Easter Sunday in the entrance of the resort, while also booking Easter Brunch and the Easter Egg Hunt at the same time should be fired. It was upsetting for everyone involved. Weddings happen once, while regular local customers continue for a lifetime. BTW The Fairmont did not schedule an Easter Brunch this year due to a large event being held. Aviara should have done the same.

We were disappointed in this holiday experience, the service was very good and the food was decent but the atmosphere left a great deal to be desired.

We have attended many holiday buffets at Park Hyatt Aviara. We were happy that we were permitted to sit outside in a pretty, quiet patio area. The buffet room felt cavernous to us and not a warm, welcoming space. The food choices were very good, although we wished the hot dishes were hotter! There was a diverse selection of desserts which looked very elegant but did not taste great: many tasted the same. We missed the more traditional Xmas cookies, gingerbreads and homemade pies! Still a nice opportunity to dress up and celebrate, thanks for having us!

We have attended the TeddyBear tea for the last eight years. The hotel is beautiful, the staff is friendly, and the tea experience is a treat for children. The Tea Princess greets all the children by visiting each table, taking pictures, and reading a book to the group. The only two disappointments were that the fantastic French hot chocolate we look forward to each year tasted watery, similar to a powdered packet at the grocery store and that some of the children were not well-behaved. The parents let them run around the tables and jump on furniture; however, that has nothing to do with the staff. We will continue to go each year since it has become a tradition we enjoy.

Spectacular setting. High tea food items were very good but plates had been prepared ahead of time so some were not moist or crispy. The Queen this year really spent a lot of time with the children. She was terrific for the role of young Queen.
