Food was just ok, the bathrooms were a disaster! Yuck- I had always wanted to try it overlooking the ice rink- just not what I was expecting.
We decided on Park Grill because of it’s closeness to the Chicago Symphony. They brought our drinks and meals very quickly as they knew we were going to the symphony. My boyfriend and I both had the rigatoni with shrimp and the sauce was delicious. Our friends had salads and they said they enjoyed them. The place is a great spot for having a meal after a skate, or sitting on the patio in the summer. Ambience is a little lacking, not the most romantic if that’s what you’re looking for and more on the casual side.
This a wonderful place to watch ice skaters while enjoying a delicious meal and a cocktail.
My husband and I really enjoyed our dinner date. The meal was delicious, great wine selection, and the service was great as well. I would highly recommend it.
Though we had enjoyed the food in the past at the Park Grill, this time when we brought our children, no one's food was up to par, from the brown lettuce in the salads to the flavorless sandwiches, none of it to very good
I am once again amazed at the quality of the food.
Excellent appetizers, salads, and pub burgers. Even the French fries are excellent.
A great place to meet for business lunches and certainly family friendly at lunch and dinner.
Our server, Alejandro was a very attentive and professional. Good job!
The food is always satisfying and the service was attentive without being intrusive. A wonderful dining experience here, as usual!
Good food. Good service. Friendly waiters.
Overlooking the Millennium Park ice rink Park Grill has delicious food and excellent service. The diverse and accessible menu is more casual then formal, but it always feels special when you dine there.
So much better than expected for a touristy place by the ice rink. The food was legitimately good (and we are food snobs), and the service was great with a nice atmosphere. Definitely recommend. Lots of food options for kids. Mac n cheese was one of the better that we’ve tried as well.
Great winter venue to enjoy good food and watch the ice skaters.
I’ve been to the Park Grill for New Years Eve before but things have changed. The restaurant was empty except for a few scattered families. The service kept looking at their watches and clearly did not want to be there. We were left without drinks and with menus for a long time and then told the kitchen would close in 15 minutes. We had the feeling immediately that we were not really wanted (at 9p on NYE!) so we ordered a drink each and an appetizer and made other plans while paying the bill. We were happy to leave the negative energy of the place and would not recommend to anyone.
Food was good. Service was good. Nothing spectacular about the Park Grill
Nice neighborhood haunt. Though it could be thought of a a tourist spot, the food is consistently good and the wine and cocktail selection very decent. A go to place for us, we live around here and Park Grill remains on our list.
Great meal, awesome ambiance. Our waiter, Antonio, was terrific.
Great service. Nice restaurant. My chopped salad was delish. Was a bit pricey, but expected since it was in Mollennium Park and downtown Chicago.
Had a great dinner prior to going to the theater . Great service , good food and drinks.
The tomato soup was amazing! The burger wasn’t too shabby either!
Service was slow.
We hadn't been there in years, but remembered white table cloths, good food and views of the ice rink. However, the table cloths were gone, it seemed much more crowded and casual than remembered. And most disappointing-the views were obstructed by plastic outdoor igloos. Ambiance was totally different than remembered. We won't be going back.
Server was just OK. She certainly had customers willing to order adult beverages but couldn’t speak to any offering on the menu. Fries were like salt sticks and cold. We’re local and will be back but this wasn’t our best experience.
I've been to this venue several times. In the winter, it is directly off the Millenium Park Ice Rink, which makes a nice view. The food was good, better than I expected, however skimpy on vegetables. Price was reasonable, service has something to be desired. Excellent presymphony/concert dinner venue. Menu not too fancy not too plain, with choice of fancy or not fancy. Convenient parking in loop garages.
I had the baramudi special which was delicious along with the brussel sprouts special an dh had the tacos. They don't include bread with the meal which is good for me but I was so tempted when I saw the Bavarian pretzels go by. The waitress was very pleasant and really seemed to enjoy her job. For a downtown restaurant, the prices were really reasonable.
Food and service are decent enough though nothing to brag about. I was disappointed in the ambiance: Advertised as "casual elegant." it is strictly casual; some like that, I do not.
Food was too spicy and salty. It is convenient to Harris Theater and pleasant to see skaters but I would not choose it for a night out.
Our food was fine, but the service was terrible. One person in our party asked 3 times for a glass for her beer before receiving it, we had to ask for appetizer plates and empty serving plates to be removed because once our entrees arrived the table was overflowing with dishes, the server could not answer basic questions about menu items. We went to Park Grill for our team holiday celebration and it was unfortunately very disappointing.
"Tried and True" describes this restaurant perfectly. The service is outstanding. The menu provides many options. Somehow the ambiance is both cozy and vibrant. With a fireplace and a seasonal gingerbread house, it was a perfect place to catch up with a friend over lunch and a glass of wine. We could even watch skaters as we dined.
Service was awful, food was both bad and cold. We will never go back to this place.
Food would have been excellent but cold fries spoiled it . We were on our way to Blackhawk game. We waited 20 minutes for waiter to take order , once he knew we were in hurry food came fast . Waiter was nice but .....
The Park Grill didn’t disappoint. My husband and I were here 8 years ago and we had a great time. We’ve recently moved back to Chicago and decided to go to dinner back here again. It was as good as I remembered. Bill was our waiter and he was attentive without overcrowding us. My husband had beer and I had the poinsettia punch for drinks. We ordered the calamari and the queso with the guacamole and chips. Then for our entree we ordered the fish and chips and the New York strip. The food was delicious. I was pleasantly surprised at how reasonable the prices have stayed. After dinner we enjoyed watching the skaters outside and walking around Millennium Park.
Fantastic Place. Good selection of drinks! Food was outstanding!
Our server was excellent getting our food to us so that we could make it to the theater for a 7:00 show. Awesome environment with kids
Food, Ambiance, and Service was great. Only complaint was that there are only two bathrooms and there was constantly a wait. Neither of them were very clean either with toilet paper all over the floor, garbage cans that are broken and sink counters with water all over them. Was hard with my little one.
The bathrooms are the only thing I was disappointed in, so the restaurant itself is great! I;m sure we will go again.
The food was good and the atmosphere was excellent and a good place to meet with family and friends. The cost is attractive and the staff was very friendly. Service was also prompt. I would highly recommend a trip for either lunch or dinner.
In town to see Hamilton. Thought this would be a nice location to take in some iconic attractions. The dinner just kind of fell flat starting with the service which was underwhelming bordering on rude. We felt like a bit of an inconvenience. Food was ok but nothing to get excited about. My daughter liked the fries and thought the turkey sandwich was flavorful despite the tomatoes she requested to be removed from the order. Great location with some views of the ice rink from our table.
Celebrating a friend's birthday brought a lovely surprise: a huge slice of a four layer chocolate cake! Shared by 6! Lunch during ice skating season was fun! Everyone joined oysters, soups, and special salads. Service was attentive.
Great for people watching! Food was good & the beer selection had more options than usually available. AND it was happy hour! Service was good & waitstaff was very helpful. We were able to eat & get to the play without being rushed.
The waiter had s rough night, restaurant seemed disorganized on who’s section we were in. Food came at different times as well.
Food was okay. Waitress was good, but host was awful.
