Food is just ok. Nothing exciting. Overly priced for what you get. There is a better steak and seafood restaurant in Pueblo.
I frequent Park East every time I’m in Pueblo. Great food and service
We go between having a good experience at Park East and a bad. Never consistent. This visit was bad. Ordered appetizers, salads and entrees. After we are there 45 minutes they bring our salads. Ok......they were good flavor, but shouldn’t appetizer come first? Then they bring entrees at which time I sent them back because NO appetizers! Finally after we are there an hour appetizers come. Stuffed mushrooms and artichoke dip mediocre. Finally we get dinner after an hour 20 minutes. The ribs delicious. Sides for the ribs really tasty. The beef tenderloin tips and risotto awful! Tenderloin tips anything but tender. Risotto texture like oatmeal. Best part of dish is the one onion ring you get. Do we go back? The never ending question as I said never consistent.
Amazing service, great food
New Years eve
Carrie and her team are always inviting, professional and treat each customer like family. Thanks to Dominic for taking care of us!
Reservation for 2 @5pm. Many empty tables, our table was right in the sight line of every person entering the back seating area as well as in the middle of anyone entering that particular dining room. Asked for a table in a less busy path, the “hostess” accomodated the request with a qualifier that we had to “out” by “6:15 or so” “we have a lot of reserved 4 tops tonight”. Not nice, not my problem (at least it shouldn’t be). I’m sure they can manage the flow without putting it on a paying customer to basically get out quick. Service was fair, timing of apps, salads & mains was off. Steaks 12 oz NY strips were tough. We just kinda laughed it off, it was our 39th wedding anniversary, so the company was good & we enjoyed ourselves in spite of all the silliness of this disorganized place. We did leave at 6:20 and there were 3 empty tables in the dining room we were in. My suggestion, take good care of the customer in front of you & plan your evening seatings & have contingencies for dealing with short waits for reserved tables. Probably take that sore thumb little 2 top out of the dining room at the end of main entry hall. Prices are fair, steak is ok, fried shrimp perfect.
The singular problem was that they would not except a gift card that was purchased . Since the gift card had value , by not honoring it even though it was due to computer concerns , they have effectively taken money under false pretenses . Even though the card was sold by previous ownership , the new owners maintained the name of the restaurant and therefore of the liabilities and assets of the same restaurant .
The food was great and our waitress was wonderful which made our evening fun.
We had to send our steaks back twice. They first came out rare and then medium-rare. We had asked for medium-well. We gave up after the second failed attempt and just took them home for the dogs. Seriously disappointed.
Service was great and food was superb!! Ribeye was tender and very flavorful, and the bacon wrapped feta stuffed dates were divine. Great place!!
Good food at reasonable prices in a unique environment. We visited on Saturday evening for an early dinner to celebrate birthdays. We were greeted warmly and seated immediately on our reservations. Overall the experience was quite good. The only hitch was the kitchen timing was a off as our main courses showed up about 3 minutes after being served soup and salad, so our table was overcrowded and mains sitting as we finished up. Give them a try, they're worth the trip.
Best in town, great food, service and environment.
My steak was very tough. We brought in $50 in gift cards and was not able to use them. We do understand the explanation the manager gave, but it still was a big bummer, that was the only reason we went to this restaurant. The prices are high and we wouldn't normally choose to go there. The manager did give a percentage of our bill, which was very kind of her, but it still was an unexpected cost that we weren't prepared to pay for.
Beautiful setting and great food
Lemon drop martini was very syrupy. Server got one order completely wrong, scallops were rubbery, French onion soup extremely salty, dessert (crepe brûlée) was heavy. All in all, the only thing that was good was the stuffed poblano. They need to work on their menu and servers. More follow-up in the kitchen. Will not recommend to anyone!
I use to work at Park East, 1980 - 1985, with the original owners, The Lepitsos Family, starting out as a cocktail waitress and then bartender. I have been going back to check the originality of the food with each new owner through the years.......to be honest, the last time I went in, around spring time, I did not enjoy the food, the salad was limp and did not reflect the original salad, the tempura was under cooked......this time, however, it was very reminiscent of the original food I loved. I will be back again soon. Please use a thicker cut pumpernickel bread and whipped butter!
Nice restaurant, though a little pricey. Food was good,
I was asking for a secluded table with my wife. I was given a table right next to EVERYONE else. It was never noted that it was my anniversary.
We were going to leave and go to somewhere else. Once our serve game up to us we decided to stay because she was wonderful.
My wife had a steak and it was delicious. My seafood pasta left me wishing for more. My shrimp was SO SO SO tough and I was disappointed.
I would come back for our server, but that’s about it. 😩
Great place. Been going for many a year. Service was as usual excellent and food was great as well. Only complaint is carpet in Hall which is a trip hazard.
Overall it was great. Service was great, food was amazing, nothing to complain about really.
Wonderful little hideaway restaurant. The food was prepared excellently and the service was great. I have already recommended this to friends and will be going back personally.
The food was good and the server was really good but the kitchen was REALLY slow for the main course.
Park East has always been my favorite restaurant in Pueblo and it still is, but the service must improve or they are going to lose a lot of customers. Their food is delicious, but has decreased in size. For instance, the large prime rib used to be thick and tasty, now it is thin and more fatty. The waiter literally ignored our table in a room of 5 tables with patrons. He would not even look at us as he was asking the other customers if they would like refills on their drinks, their checks, dessert, etc. I finally asked the pleasant young man who was serving the water if that was our waiter and he said yes. I told him we would like to order please...almost twenty minutes we waited to even be greeted by the server. Our appetizer came with our salads. I waited for a refill on my soda for almost 10 more minutes. Our visit lasted for 2 hours. Other patrons got up and left the restaurant because the bar made the wrong drinks for them and they were tired of waiting for the waiter as well. Please correct this, I don't want to lose my favorite place to eat. We took my Mother there for her 85th birthday, she had not been there for years, I was very embarrassed because I had bragged about what a great place this is.
Bad experience, appetizer was awful, French onion soup was burnt. Ordered the horseradish shrimp was so over cooked was rubbery. Will not be back for a while.
Poor service. Poor food. Poor overall experience.
The restaurant was closed even though they took our reservation we drove an hour and a half to get there and there was a piece of paper on the door saying that they were closed
Great dining experience. Whenever my wife an I have a special occasion, birthday, anniversary, etc, we enjoy dining at Park East Restaurant. The staff is wonderful, the food great and the atmosphere is perfect for a casual and enjoyable evening.
Pacing was not rushed and server and kitchen were attentive to food allergies. All dishes were great in flavor and food was reasonable value for the prices. That said, the prices were much fancier than the presentation. We ate all that we ordered which meant no room for dessert, but next time, maybe.
Everything was perfect! The food, service and ambiance.
It's always nice to visit Park East - the menu changes quite often it seems and I miss not being able to eat some of my old favorites because of my celiac disease, but my husband said the beer battered shrimp were pretty good - not quite like the old recipe - a bit too doughy. I had chicken skewers and an iceberg wedge salad - the salad wedge that I was given - well, let's just say that I wouldn't serve it at home - it was the hard, inner white core of the salad, when I would have preferred green outer leaves, too. But, the dressing was tasty (bleu cheese) and the avocado slice topping was nice. All in all, service was very slow for the number of patrons there, but I had never seen the waiter before, so will be tolerant of his inexperience. We will definitely return regardless.
Our dining experience at Park East was less than satisfactory. Although the food was very good, the service was horrible. Our waitress was extremely busy and seemed confused most of the time. I believe she often forgot to place orders in the system, whether it was for food or drinks. Other patrons, who came in after us, and had a different waitress were served before us. At one point I actually had to get the water pitcher for our table to refill our water glasses. One glass of wine required 25 minutes to get to our table, although the bar tender had poured the glass 20 minutes earlier. (We could see the bar) We asked the waitress 4 times for the glass of wine. We will not be going back anytime soon.
I took my wife to Park East for our third wedding anniversary. Our server was excellent and so was our meal. I thought the wedge salad was a bit small and the music was a little bit loud for my taste. I've been there before and I will definitely go back again.
Seems like the menu has changed with the name. The front end was a bit disorganized and we were told that the cook was alone. scheduling problems?
The Saturday before Fathers' Day or any weekend is not the time to save on labor.
This is what passes for "fine dining" in Pueblo.
Get it together.
Nope, as a matter of fact telling people not to go, as it was terrible! Out of two items, ordered the steak med rare, it came out DONE. So we ate one at a time. Very dissatisfied
Very disappointed that salads are no longer served with dinner entrees. Also, very disappointed in the Prime Rib we were served. At one time, you could count on a superb Prime Rib at Park East, but no longer. The ones we received were not the large, and we ordered the largest, and were not the thick cut Prime Rib you once received. Will not recommend any longer. Really sad this establishment has come to this. Use to be one of the best in Pueblo, but no longer!
The food is always great. We have been there twice and each time we have had a substantial wait, either prior to being seated or waiting for our food. The reason is usually because the kitchen is backed up. They are always friendly. I think they just need a few more cooks in the kitchen. Overall it is a nice place to go out for dinner.
We have eaten here several times. In the past the food is always been high quality. On this particular visit, the tenderloin tips were very coarse(tough, gristly) and under cooked(ordered med). Although we set them back they came back again still very rare (same pieces of meat). Service was great. Our bill was compensated due to the issue.
This restaurant was absolutely stunning in my opinion. The waiters were amazing and worked very hard and were just overall great to be around. The food it’s self was also just as amazing make sure to go to Park east!
Park East is my favorite restaurant in Pueblo. I take all my out of town friends there because the food and service are excellent.
