It's really a bar with some food, not a restaurant with drinks. It has a very limited menu, and the food was just average.
Overall it was a nice experience. We purchased a Pulsd voucher, and had looked online to check out the menu.
When we got there on a Sunday early evening, we realized that the reservation was not necessary. We were the only ones in the entire restaurant. This meant that our service from the bartender was great and very attentive.
However, we were disappointed to find that a lot of the menu items have been taken off and the menu had been reduced to a “bar menu“. This left us with limited choices and perhaps not all of the food that we were excited about. Bartender brought us some complementary potato wedges because I was a vegetarian and there was limited menu items available for me.
I imagine the atmosphere would’ve been nice during a busier time. The mood of the space was chill, and we enjoyed our time there, even though it was sort of awkward being the only people there. Bummed that the menu had changed, but still enjoyed the food that we did get.
Limited menu. Not freshly prepared. Nice staff.
Phenomenal food, amazing music, awesome experience! Run, don’t walk, to come to Parish!!!
Great food. Crab cakes are good but ask for them over salad. The corn soufflé they are in was terrible. Completely takes away from the crab cake. Shrimp and grits were really good as well as the fried chicken and waffles. That was a huge meal by the way, think they give you the whole damn chicken.
Great little spot with awesome fries and burgers. Staff was attentive, had a great night out.
The restaurant is super cute and clean inside and the food was delicious. I love the New Orleans vibe and will definitely be coming back.
I had a date with my wife, we from Astoria and was an amazing experience!
The food was not a standout. The place is very cute and our server was very attentive. It was very very quiet for 7:30 on a Saturday.
Amazing Cajun food. Had the Hola Nola Cocktail the russian dude behind the bar mad and it slapped. Love the gumbo, need it once a week!
Great vibe. Go see for yourself.
My third time into parish. Twice before drinks, finally came in for dinner. The Brussel Sprouts were the best I ever had, paired with the Whiskey and Apple Brandy cocktail i was in heaven. By the time we had gotten through the Beignets the restaurant was full and we ended up staying for dancing! Absolutely loved it. Will be back
I ordered a hurricane and I received a lemon base drink. When I informed my waiter of the error he explained that’s how it is made...which is not true. I wasn’t pleased at all.
Live on the LES so I wanted to check out this new spot. Great music and cool Bartender Ed. Had some really good New Orleans style food (muffuletta) and the cocktail list was sampled also good. Dj came on around 10:30. Pretty attractive crowd. Will come late night next time :)
I really wanted to like this place. I understand that they recently opened, but the service was lacking. The place wasn't even busy for a Saturday night, but we had to keep waiving people over when we needed anything. Each time a different person would come over and so when we got our bill, there were discrepancies which were fixed, but nonetheless, it was an issue. Service is just nonexistent. The food was just ok, I would not go back. Also, what was the point of making a reservation? there is no host/hostess, you basically walk in and the bartender tells you that you can sit anywhere... what?!
WONDERFUL DATE SPOT!! Amazing ambiance! Definitely the most chill spot on the lower east side- and also the most exciting! Food was truly about the best in the area, and I’ve eaten everywhere. Bartenders are super skilled- and cool & fun. Not like places such as Stanton social & beauty & essex- where the food is mediocre and the staff are entitled. Perfect local spot!! I TOTALLY recommend this place for dates!!! Especially 1st dates! Or 2nd or 3rd. Hahahah
The food was phenomenal! I recommend the brussel sprouts and deviled eggs for an appetizers. The food was quick to arrive and our server was always checking in.
Tried this new place since I am a transplanted New Orleanian now living in NY.
The food was quite good - especially the gumbo and the fried chicken with their "hot" maple syrup.
Oyster poboy okay, but not good enough -- I suspect hard to find in NYC real N.O. french bread - theirs was more of a subway roll.
I understand they have live jazz Wed (?) night and if they did the same on a Sunday, I would go back for brunch.
Clearly their shakedown cruise and I hope the service and ambience improve a bit -- e.g. cloth napkins -- and I hope they succeed. Lots of potential.
