The space is beautiful and wait staff very attentive.
Parcel 32 is a comfortably chic new hot spot. Their menu is local, southern foodie worthy and allergen friendly. Paleo and gluten free options were available or they were happy to modify to make them for us. We celebrated my birthday and the fun atmosphere and great service made it really special. Try this place, you will not be sorry!
Best new restaurant! Thank you for making our dinner so special with food & wine pairing suggestions! Great atmosphere, knowledgeable service and amazing food.
We held my mom’s surprise birthday party at Parcel 32. The staff could not have been more accommodating or attentive to our group. The service was stellar and the food was delicious as usual! Highly recommend for date night or a special celebration!!
Amazing food, amazing staff. Parcel 32 stands out in a crowded, competitive Charleston restaurant market.
Very noisy seated next to the kitchen and tables close together can hear every conversation around you except your own. Pork chop was raw, offered to compensate with a free dessert but couldn’t have anything on the dessert menu due to food allergies. Mac and cheese was dry. Appetizers at the table next to us came out smelling burnt and aroma stayed in the air. Restaurant trying to be upscale but falls short and tries too hard without mastering the basics.
Good food. Great bar scene. Attentive service.
What list was great, food was average. Very loud and waitress struggled with the noise.
Fabulous food. Every dish was delicious and beautifully plated. Service was a bit disappointing. Our server seemed unsure of himself and not communicative enough. Support staff was prompt and friendly.
New Charleston hot spot, a must reservation. Small tables for 2, sit almost directly with your neighboring party, very hard to hear when having a conversation. The hushpuppies has no flavor, don’t advise getting them. The chef soup was delicious, pickled veggies were amazing. We had the 2lb snapper- it was beautifully presented but difficult to eat...never got the sides we ordered.
To end the meal- the chocolate martini and chocolate cake were the best part!
The interior decoration is pretty. All people in the restaurant are very nice, especially the waitress who served us. Food is good.
One of my favorite meals in Charleston to date! Our sever was super knowledgeable on not only the food but also the wine, she made great recommendations and the food was to die for!
The restaurant was deafening and distracted from the food and ambience. We were told they would be installing acoustic panels so would give it another try when that has happened. Too bad a promising menu could not be fully sampled and enjoyed because of the din.
It was great! We were very pleased with our dining experience from the great new ambiance to the staff to the food. A+
we arrived about half hour early for reservation, so they had to sit in the bar area which was full service. We got amazing service there, and the food was spectacular. This would be a very fun place to go for a business dinner or a meeting with friends. It was a busy, but not loud or roudy, bar.
Bartender knows how to make a great Old Fashion which we enjoyed as we arrived early for our seating. Unusually good “smoky” oysters and light hush puppies. We enjoyed 2 nice fish dishes. My only suggestion is to improve the acoustics as the restaurant was almost too loud for a conversation to occur.
The restaurant was very noisy. So much so that you couldn’t have a conversation during dinner. The wine by the glass selection was small and the food was just ok.
The former Fish restaurant has been beautifully redone - the decor is great. That brings a crowd that is there to see and be seen. We sat near a ladies birthday party of 5 that was excruciatingly loud. The food, meh. My waitress was friendly and there were all sorts of assistants, they were helpful too. My husband’s soup must’ve been heated in the microwave because he had to let it cool for 5 minutes .... that hot. His fish was fishy & my vegetarian dish had an overwhelming taste of vinegar. I’d recommend for the bar/lounge scene, but they’ve got some work to do before it is fit for foodies.
The food was delish. The menu was difficult to navigate. There is an extra page to let you know about the current fishes of the day, veggies, soups, and other additions. Trying to match the dish from the extra page with the description on the menu was not easy.
Our waiter was very nice and helpful with our confusion about the menu, but the service was slow. ( Both food and drinks.) It seemed as if they were a little overwhelmed. Perhaps they seated too many at the same time, or there was another problem.
I think it would be better to print a new menu when needed than this extra page that requires matching with the standard menu. It would make diners more comfortable, and add to the pleasure of the meal.
We came in for our honeymoon and they made us feel very special. Food was amazing as well
Our server Alison was outstanding.
Cucumber/ crab soup was amazing as was the Ahi tuna entree
The food was great and rich.
Wanted a fun and slightly boujee place to cheer up my friend. Parcel 32 delivered and made us feel special even if it wasn’t a special occasion! Definitely caters to all special food needs. Solidly turned a frown upside down, thank you.
Incredible new restaurant! They have so many options for gluten free and vegetarian. Half of our table had food sensitivities and/or dietary restrictions, and their menu and staff were so accommodating! Absolutely try the Farmer's Plate, even if you aren't a vegetarian. It was amazing, which a plethora of flavors. Same goes for the chilled corn and shrimp appetizer - so yummy! The short ribs were melt-in-your-mouth good, like nothing I've ever had before. And the seafood dishes were incredible. Not to mention, the overall decor and ambiance were so beautiful, fun, and unique. Will definitely be returning!
We got the fish and tomahawk steak, several sides and apps -a couple bottles of wine and we loved everything... everything! Amy, our server, was amazing too!!
Great meal. Excellent service. Chef was very creative. Good cocktails and wine selection. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Went there for a date night. Food was very underwhelming. The oysters didn’t taste right. The entrees were over cooked. The service and ambiance were good but I’d rather have great tasting food. The place is still new so maybe it will get better. But as for now, would not recommend.
AMAZING! Service was great, knowledgeable, professional, welcoming and friendly. The food was outstanding, everyone loved their entrees but there was some jealousy over my Farmer’s Plate! Order all the things... seriously! The wine, beer and crafted cocktails were fun, innovative with lots of local offerings. The staff sprinkles the story & tidbits of history when applicable, very cool touch! Parcel 32 is my new go to, thanks for a great experience.
Parcel 32 offers a clean, modern atmosphere. It is obvious that a lot of care was taken when renovating from the previous restaurant that was there. The menu is a delightful blend of local ingredients, traditional low country dishes infused with a noticable Caribbean influence. Like the decor, the island flavor is a nod to the historic and multicultural influences in Charleston. We had the chilled cucumber and crab soup which was lovely but was certainly outdone by the chef's feature soup which was a fabulous blend of pumpkin, coconut milk and spices. The corn and poached shrimp was good but a little heavy on the vinegar. The oysters were fantastic...smoky, fresh with a nice briny sea flavor. We shared the short rib, which fell off the bone and ended our meal with yet another reminder of the spices of the Caribbean. In addition to the great food, the service was impeccable and the wine and cocktail list had interesting and tasty selections. We will definitely be back soon!
I enjoyed our time at this restaurant more than I enjoyed the food. It feels like they're trying too hard to be fusion and classic and trendy. Pick one and stick with it. As a local, there are too many options in Charleston to have a muddled menu. I did like the pecan hushpuppies with the butter. That was the best part of the meal. I also enjoyed the gin and tonic with cardamon. It was delicious.
As far as the main course, the squid ink baba ghanoush with grilled zucchini medallions, though creative in thought, looked more like a thin spread of lentils on the bottom of the plate with three LARGE chunks of zucchini sitting on top and then topped with roasted, room temperature cherry tomatoes. I mean, don't call it baba ghanoush. Call it roasted eggplant spread with zucchini. My salmon with the black garlic and sesame came out cold as in...actually cold. Even when sent back, it didn't come back much warmer, but since we were there celebrating a birthday, I didn't want to ruin my friend's evening by returning it again. It was very nice of the waiter to bring the beignets (which were yummy) as a gift to our friend. His gesture went a long way to reminding me that we were here to celebrate, but I don't think I'll be back.
Wonderful wine / drink selection and food was well prepared. Had a 9:00 reservation and was a bit loud. Overall great experience.
Lovely, lovely restaurant with a very attentive staff. Great kid menu and an absolutely delicious regular menu with local ingredients. You will enjoy yourself - guaranteed!
We did not try any entrees but the cold cucumber crab soup is outstanding on a hot sumner night. The hush puppies with pimento were a unique twist to a Southern classic. An enjoyable happy hour.
Excellent service, delicious food and unique combinations. Lovely bar area with terrific bartender.
Overall an exceptional exceptional experience. Will go back.
Wonderful Dining Experience from "Start to Finish"
Great new restaurant! The decor is outstanding. The noise level is one of the best in Charleston in that even with a full house, you can speak in normal tones. The menu was great. The ham and peach toast was amazing along with the pecan flour hush puppies. I recommend it highly!
Somewhat inconsistent in both service and food. In another city this restaurant would be very good but in Charleston it is only ok.
Excellent experience! I have dined here several times now and brought my grandmother in for her first visit. She has great taste in restaurants and said everything was perfect! Our server, Gabe, was great. We sat in the sunroom, which was very cozy for a table of two. We shared a couple small plates, each got a large plate, shared a dessert and we left stuffed and still had left-overs! Generous portion sizes for the cost. Already planning our next visit!
We had so much fun here for girl's night! I think we ordered one of almost every dish on the menu and it would be hard to choose a favorite. Our server Allison was awesome and had a great wine pairing suggestions for our entrees. Definitely recommend!
