I will likely not be dining at Parc again after tonight. I expected much more out of a supposedly fine dining “experience” and was sadly disappointed. The restaurant itself and its location are beautiful. Noise was moderate throughout the night and the scenery was very nice. However, the service was somewhat lacking and the food was pretty poor given the price point. My party ordered salads which came missing ingredients and little to no dressing. We also ordered the salmon which had a delicious sauce but was overcooked and bland otherwise. For over $100 per guest, I expected much higher quality dishes. Overall, I would like dining at Parc for a much lower price point, but where it is now I would not consider it worth the money. Perhaps the brunch or lunch would be a better choice.

Yikes- where do I begin. I’d like to start by saying that this restaurant has previously received a 5 star review from me. I was very excited to take my fiancé there for his birthday, unfortunately, it did not live up to its past status. First off, we were seated over 20 minutes past our reservation time, things happen, no big deal we move on. The restaurant was so loud, it was like being at a bar on a sports night. Place was humid, I understand the open doors open windows concept, but you still need ventilation. The bathrooms were horrid .Definitely no longer a place to celebrate intimate occasions or have a romantic date. The service was OK, not what I am normally accustomed to from places that consider themselves fine dining. The food was the worst of it, I don’t know if the chef was having an off night or if they have a new chef, but it was subpar, putting it nicely. None of the food was seasoned, everything tasted bland, simple salting would have gone a long way. For appetizers , got the charred Burrata, it was ok. the shrimp ceviche was not shrimp ceviche, just like the Mexican street corn was not Mexican street corn , they added some cocktail shrimps to a salad served with the greasiest tostadas I’ve ever tasted. The chopped salad was missing half its advertised ingredients ( no pickled cauliflower, no almond, no breadcrumbs) We got the short ribs and New York steak for entrees, again, no seasoning, braised rib tasted like boiled meat, the mashed potatoes tasted two days old and the chard broccolini was cooked to its last breath. The New York strip tasted frozen and improperly thawed, again no seasoning, asked for medium well, got different temps in different parts of the steak and don’t get me started on the sides. The only redeeming thing was the piece of birthday cake the waiter brought out on the house, it wasn’t good but a nice gesture. I asked for a dessert menu and was told they didn’t have anything else today. For 150/person, I don’t think so.

Food was good as always but was very disappointed in the Street Corn Gratin - it tasted like it was frozen/canned corn with slight seasoning to it. Service was below average as I sat on empty for at least 5-10 minutes before getting a refill. Otherwise, I always love the atmosphere of Parc and the short rib is always a great meal.

Blake, thank you for your visit to Parc and your feedback. We're delighted you enjoyed the overall atmosphere and meal, particularly our signature short rib dish. However, we regret that the Street Corn Gratin and service did not meet your expectations. Your comments have been noted, and we will work to improve in those areas. We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience and look forward to welcoming you back soon.

Parc was great experience and the sitting provided a nice view of the fountain and downtown Detroit. Our waitress was very attentive to our needs and was able to give recommendations of popular at which we highly appreciated. We did encounter a slight confusion as one of my guest received an incorrect menu. However the waitress was very helpful with providing clarification. Overall the experience was great but it took a slight bit longer for the food and drinks to arrive than our typical experience. When the food arrived, the short beef rib was tender, well seasoned and paired perfectly with flavorful brussel sprouts and street corn gratin.

A lot dishes needed salt. Im not one the ever adds salt to their food so, for me to say that is a big deal. The food was decent, but not the experience I was hoping for.

We really enjoyed our Saturday morning brunch. Truman was a very attentive waiter and our seat had a fabulous view of the fountain and city. When the weather permits this may be the best spot in the city to enjoy a meal.

Polite professional greeting. Beautiful decor; bathrooms clean. Waiter was patient, kind and helpful. Food was good, we did not care for the cheese and bread appetizer or the lavender drink. My husband had to send his wild boar (I think that’s what it was) back because he asked for medium and they bought him well done. My salmon was good. Please do not expect to share because your sides are really tiny lol I received maybe 5 homemade chips with my dish. Thank goodness we ordered aside of Brussels sprouts which tasted amazing. The dessert we chose the espresso cake which was ok. The espresso drink which kinda reminded me of a Spanish coffee was good. Overall I would only come back to try the other desserts, the Brussels sprouts and maybe the espresso drink.

Lola, thank you for your detailed review. We're delighted to hear you enjoyed the polite greeting, beautiful decor, clean bathrooms, attentive service, and dishes like the salmon and Brussels sprouts. However, we regret that the wild boar dish was overcooked for your husband, and you found the portions for sides like the homemade chips to be smaller than expected. Your feedback on the cheese and bread appetizer, lavender drink, and espresso cake is appreciated, as it helps us continually improve our menu offerings. We hope you'll give us another opportunity to provide you with an exceptional dining experience.
