Just the loveliest time in a perfectly authentic, warm welcoming environment. Great host (her second day!) and server (Michael I believe). Proactively handled serious food allergies with effortless hospitality. Will definitely return soon and become a regular!
BEST cod dish that I've EVER had and probably top 3 seafood dishes that I've ever had! Very *uniquely creative* entree, but appetizers and deserts were also GREAT! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
It's a shame to see this once-promising place slide this far downhill. I was surprised it was empty when I arrive at peak lunch rush on a Saturday, but I wasn't surprised by the time we left. In the entire place, one other couple had just arrived. We were greeted by the host in jeans and a dirty t-shirt. A server was wearing a black top and shorts that were filthy and sloppy. Once we were seated, along the long wall in the upper, window level at the second to last table, the smaller curved booth, we waited a long time for our order to be taken. While we waited, a party of 8 started to come in. The host walked them down the length of the room and sat them right next to us in a restaurant that was completely empty. The group asked if they couldn't sit at the wall around the corner of the L but the host told them no; he had other parties coming. Once the group was seated, it was clear they were going to be loud, so, when he finally came to take our order, we asked quietly to be moved to the other wall, and we were also told he had other parties coming. We ended up having to sit at one of the small tables in the well by the bar in an empty restaurant. Well, he didn't have other people coming. No one else came in all the time we and the large party were there. Maybe he just didn't want to walk far? (He was also acting as a server.) Though the food was so-so, that wouldn't keep us away because it's pretty inside and we love Mosaic, but the horrible service will. So sorry to see this happen to a place we used to like. Oh, well. We came for the gnocchi and it's off the menu anyway.
The restaurant is amazing but the rooftop bar is a must!
I was very pleasantly impressed with the food and service at Parc de Ville. The menu has limited choices, but they were all well done; indeed, the food was more authentically French in quality and presentation than at some higher priced establishments that claim to serve "French cuisine." Every thing that we had was consistently very good and reminded us of similar dishes that we have enjoyed in France and Belgium. The open space was also appreciated, making "social distancing" possible.
The food is always amazing, it would be nice to have the full menu on the rooftop. The outside seating was nice but lacked a little bit of curb appeal and while you could look inside the ambiance is lost outside.
The food was amazing and the server was funny and very nice. Service was very slow at first but got better as the meal went on. Escargot was fabulous and my daughter couldn’t get enough! Steak frites to die for with a bernaise sauce that will knock your socks off and the duck was similarly outstanding.
Staff and manager need retraining.
Far away for a fine dinning experience. Drinks are too expensive, the food is good but nothing special.
The food was excellent. We ordered the escargot, sea bass, braised short rib, and chocolate tarte. Everything was so flavorful that we wanted to lick the plates clean but instead we asked for bread. The bread was yummy too. We will definitely go again to try more of the dishes. 😀
Decent French style cuisine, but the flavors could be bolder. Excellent wait service though!
Food was bland and expensive. Service was OK, a little slow to get started...we had to ask for our waiter a few times.
As usual, the short ribs were impeccable, as was the escargot in puffed pastry. The surprise was a pate, Foie de Veillere that was simply heavenly. Capped with an amazing dessert cocktail, this was a dream birthday dinner. The service was fantastic even with fewer servers.
We had a fantastic experience allowing us time to enjoy great food and wine in a joyful environment .
Large room, weird loud music, Duck confit was delicious, the Pasta and the Chicken liver Pate were no where near as good as in their sister restaurant Cafe Coline. Not impressed at all.
Restaurant was noisy and warm. Service very brusque. Wine served warm and not cellar temp. Too much salt in dishes. Not a good value for money.
Everything was wonderful, food, service, atmosphere. My only complaint was that it was extremely warm inside the restaurant. No air conditioning for some reason and after a few drinks and a full stomach I was miserable. But I will definitely recommend and visit again!
Good environment. Food was good. Service was so friendly. We ordered the wine from Bordeaux called Villar and it was exactly what I look for in a wine - not sweet, but rich in its scnent.
The server was unenthusiastic at best. The food didn’t
Not a great experience and will not be going back!!
Food and wait staff service was good. Kitchen service though was disappointing. Waited an hour after receiving appetizers before entrees were served. Restaurant wasn't crowded. Servers explained the kitchen was understaffed. I get that happens but maybe as a courtesy inform diners prior to being seated so they're not committed to sitting hungry for an hour? This was also for a 49th wedding anniversary dinner.
Great French Bistro --love the food -- great for any event
Michael was wonderful. Took great care of us, face great suggestions, and the food for each of us (4 diners) was excellent.
Always a nice dinner, excellent food and wine, friendly staff
The service was great - our waiter was very prompt and kind. However we felt the cost of the meal was not on par with the taste and quality. For two cocktails and two entrees - no appetizer or dessert - was $120 pre-gratuity. We didn’t feel this matched with the quality of the meal, so we most likely won’t be returning. In the Mosaic district, there are other restaurants we feel have a better experience for the value.
Food is delicious, price is reasonable, service is good. But I wonder why waiters and kitchen staff are not wearing masks
Great meal at the bar. The food and service were great. We enjoyed the salmon rillettes, escargot, moules and steak frites. Each dish was terrific.
Unprofessional staff (from doing each other’s hair in plan view inside the kitchen, to high giving me because of my date), slow service, not clean, empty. Not worth the money snd definitely not a good experience.
Enjoyed our dinner with friends. I had the fish - while it was good, it did have a bit too much salt. Our favorite item was the salmon appetizer. It was noisy so it made it harder to talk.
Food was good. Service was very slow & it was so cold inside I could have sworn it was snowing.
Food was INCREDIBLE - will definitely be back soon!!!
Great food. Great cocktails. Very nice server. Rooftop bar was awesome!
Food was excellent when we finally got it. Took 30 min to our soup and salad and we had to have another waiter check on it and get it. My wife ordered a drink before we got the main entree and didn’t get it until she was done. Overall great date place and the salmon and red wine braised short rib were very good. It’s unfortunate when bad service affects the overall experience.
Always great food and service!!!
Mediocre at best. Weird, inconsistent service. The thermostat was set to 50 degrees it felt like…literally a fridge. Food is ok…nothing stands out. Go to the one of the better restaurants in mosaic.
I met a friend for lunch on a Saturday and we both wanted to try PdV because it looked so cute on IG. It definitely lived up to the hype: cute, great food, cool ambiance. We were overall really happy with our meals. They did seem a little understaffed so I think our waiter was being worked a little hard handling what seemed like every table in the restaurant solo, but the kitchen staff and manager (I think) were really trying to help him out running food and checkin in, so though we did have to wait a little longer between service, it wasn't really a big deal (especially these days). I would definitely go back! The chicken liver parfait & burger were awesome!
Parc de Ville is a neighborhood gem.
Excellent food tastefully prepared and served timely
Prices are reasonable expect about $100/couple with a glass of wine.
Availability of tables is good for now; parking is convenient
There is new outdoor roof top patio which is limited to appetizers and drinks for now
Wine selection is limited but well chosen
The food was great. While our waiter was very nice, he had too many tables- we waited far too long for our drinks, to order and for our meal to arrive. They need more wait staff.
The food was great, especially the French onion soup and the duck confit.
Almost perfect setting for brunch on an early Sunday afternoon
