    Always a nice experience at Parc Bistro. This time around we only ordered appetizers. Had the escargot, tuna tartare and crab cake all delicious. Our waitress as always knowledgeable and all the staff very curtious. Nice cocktails and wine were also had. It was quite busy on a Tuesday evening!

    I’m usually a Fan, so sad to be disappointed last night. The lamb was a fail, they never quite got it right. Salads were good. Bread is always yum. We liked our crab cake and brussel sprouts just fine.

    Right when I walked in the hostess had a HORRIBLE attitude. She did not welcome us but instead acted like we were a bother to her. We had a special reservation celebrating my mom’s birthday. We specifically requested an indoor table as my mom is very temperature sensitive which I explained in my reservation notes and also to her in person but she stone faced told me I couldn’t have one unless I waited AN HOUR AFTER MY RESERVATION. It very much felt like she didn’t want us to sit inside. She was short with her words and made us feel like we didn’t belong. We ended up sitting outside and the other woman who walked us to our table was equally as rude. She sat us right next to a heater (that they said would be on) that was not even lit. They just didn’t want us there. 20 mins after we sat down, I walked inside to use the restroom and I counted SEVEN empty tables inside ready to be seated. 30 minutes later the inside was about half empty. There was no reason for the attitude. We were polite and on time for our reservation. If they can’t handle the volume of traffic, they shouldn’t be booking that many reservations. It’s that simple. Side note, our server (Malina?) was INCREDIBLE and very polite and well spoken with a very charming demeanor. She did her best to help make our experience worth it. I hope she gets to keep all the tip because those other girls were the least.

    This restaurant was crowded on Thanksgiving Day. However, the servers were all cool, calm and collected. The food was excellent. It was a fun place. I will definitely be back . The only issue would be the cost. It's pricey like the rest of San Diego. However, it's well worth it.

    We went on Thanksgiving. The prefix options were great. Drinks were mediocre. Service was smooth the place was packed. Our only issue was not the restaurant but the other patrons. The demographic skewed older and white. We were the only black people there and got stares the whole time as if they had never seen black people—-in San Diego. It felt creepy but we powered through.

    upon arriving , with reservation in hand they tried to seat us at a high top in the bar ..altho I specifically. asked for outside. Then they gave us the worst table, altho there were many empty tables.. just disappointing as it was zThanksgiving. Never again!

    Wonderful way to celebrate Thanksgiving! I think indoor seating is the way to go, but we (3) had a delightful and delicious 3-course prix fixe meal with a bottle of wine for $370 including tip.

    Parc Bistro is a very consistent restaurant; from food, to service, to cocktails, and a good wine list. We recommend it any time you are looking for good food, good service, and good value! On one of the busiest days of the year, everything went smoothly. the table was ready on time, and the service was great! All had the turkey entree, preceeded by a shrimp cocktail, tuna tartare, salad, and butternut soup. All apps were very good, and the turkey was good as well. finished with the chocolate, pumpkin, and apple desserts; again all great!

    Thanksgiving meal was excellent. Unfortunately child with us fell asleep so we had to ask for accommodations for some items to be boxed. Servers were extremely gracious and helpful. Some of us remained at restaurant, and we enjoyed a wonderful meal. Loved the food, but would not recommend it for young children.

    We had a fantastic brunch visit here at Parc on Sunday. The Crab Crepe was amazing, and the Quiche Lorraine was easily the best quiche I’ve ever had! Light and fluffy with just the right amount of ham. I decided to not opt for mimosas but instead had their lavender martini, which was delicious and refreshing. Our server Jenn was a delight! I gotta give a special shout out to Leticia, the new general manager, who stopped by to introduce herself and see how our visit was going. We found her to be warm, funny and genuinely interested in our visit to Parc. Keep up the good work! In regards to another recently posted review here that not only sounds unbelievably entitled, rude and borderline racist, it is any new GM’s job to introduce themselves to guests. The reviewer unfairly railed against her for simply performing her responsibilities. I urge future guests of Parc ( which I definitely am ) to completely disregard the previous review and ask to speak with Leticia ( NOT Felicia, btw ) and have a chat.

    We enjoyed an outstanding brunch before heading to the theater. The quiche Lorraine was fluffing and delicious. We also enjoyed the short rib hash and pumpkin bread pudding. I want to give a special thanks to Jeff, our waiter. Jeff has waited on us several times and is a top notch waiter.

    Having dined here previously, it was extremely disappointing to see what has happened to quality and portion sizes. The seafood Cobb that I ordered was a huge disappointment, minimal diced portions of “seafood” on a bed of lettuce with a hard boiled egg. Had to ask for bread since the salad was not satisfactory. Not worth the value by any stretch

    Food yummy & pretty as always, but food quality was better than it’s usually very good last night. Service attentive by senior sever Julien, a quick witted Frenchman. The only NEGATIVE & B-I-G NEGATIVE of the night was the sudden appearance while eating & while in deep conversation of a young woman with a moderate non-French foreign accent saying she is “Felicia” & “the new General Manager” going on with a scripted introduction & saying my formal reservation name even & sadly & oddly did NOT pickup customer vibes (from me at least, the host of the dinner) that her very RUDE & inappropriate & poorly-timed INTERRUPTION was not wanted or needed. She clearly didn’t look at my eyes or read my deliberate body language as she rambled on. After her seemingly “Round 1” canned & nongenuine verbiage she then SHOCKINGLY stated “I’ll come back later again to see how your meal is going.” Omg. Thank GOODNESS she never came back. Yay !!!!!! How rude. The Owner needs to re-think this very rude & unwanted technique…FAST. Please let happy diners dine. Please let chatting customers chat. Julien is a senior waiter, he can handle things, if not, we will ask for help. Merci.

    Probably more like 3.5 stars - fairly pedestrian but nice. We had starters and appetizers, the shrimp cocktail was the best as well as baguette with beautiful butter and nice tapenade. The celeriac root soup was good but not great, escargot they totally missed the mark on - it had very little garlic and way too much parsley - and crab cake lacked crab meat. The service was very good and friendly and we liked the ambience of the place.

    Wonderful afternoon family of four adults celebrating wife’s birthday. Alaine took great care of us. Cheese platter & bottle Tempranillo while we waited for our entrees. Lobster Risotto - delicious. Scallops with lobster mashed potatoes & green beans - amazing. Filet medallions tender and delicious. Salmon delicious as well. Complimentary pumpkin bread pudding al a mode to celebrate her birthday. Daughter’s rose spritzer was divine. Wonderful evening. Highly recommend. Will go again soonest.

    Overall outstanding. Food was excellent service was superb. We phoned beforehand and were told the corkage fee was $25 per bottle when the bill came we were charged $30 per bottle. Only a small point but you need to make it clear.

    We chose Parc Bistro-Brasserie for my birthday lunch with friends. Each of us selected a salad from one of the best selections of salads I've seen on a menu in the Hillcrest/Banker's Hill area, and the three of us were very pleased with the freshness of ingredients. And while I generally decline to each bread, the baguette served with butter and a tapenade seemed freshly baked -- so we ate it all. Dessert was a meringe with lemon custard and fresh fruit -- light and heavenly!

    What a neighborhood and city French Bistro gem! We always receive a warm welcome. As usual the food and wine were excellent and delicious. Oysters on the half shell and carrot soup were tasty starters: oysters chilly and just the right briny touch from Chincoteague , Virginia and the carrot flavor shining through the flavorings. The lamb sausage served with sauerkraut is a favorite of my husband and I savored the scallops cooked to perfection. The Kir royale and Manhattan were lovely to begin the meal and a Chablis and Kronenberg complemented the entrees.

    I have given this restaurant numerous chances, however, each time it has come up short. Yesterday, I met friends here for Sunday brunch; we received excellent service, unfortunately the food was subpar. I ordered the Mediterranean Shrimp Salad, ($26), the menu description listed quinoa, tomatoes, cucumber, and feta in the salad, with marinated shrimp. When my salad arrived it looked, and tasted disappointing. The bed of lettuce was generous, the other ingredients were sparse: the quinoa was a slight sprinkle, almost like pepper, the cucumbers were sliced as thinly as paper, the five small pieces of tomato were, unexpectedly, not fresh, (possibly marinated?), and the three shrimp were overcooked and tough. Oddly, there was a large quantity of olives thrown on top. I do not like olives. I did order the salad sans cheese, but that hardly explains the lack of quinoa or fresh tomatoes. On previous visits, I also noticed differences between the menu descriptions and the items served. In a prior instance I questioned my server as to the discrepancies, only to be told that the chef has to make substitutions when they run out of ingredients. As reasonable as that sounds, when a restaurant’s fare never matches the promise of the menu, it is time for me to find a new restaurant.

    Overall, a meh experience. The food was satisfactory, but nothing exceptional; one appetizer (Brussels sprouts) was, in fact, poor. (They did comp this when we complained.) The service around us looked rather attentive, but our own server didn't seem interested in attending to us. Thankfully, the manager helped make up for this.
