We decided on this restaurant based on a recommendation from a close friend. We were saying goodbye for now to my niece who is leaving for a semester abroad and wanted to enjoy a special meal with her and her and younger brother.
Obviously we booked on OpenTable and I reviewed the full menu on the app as well. It appeared to be at a good price point along with a nice variety for the four of us to enjoy.
Upon seating and reviewing the menu I was a bit surprised to see a very limited menu for restaurant week with a very high price point. To be honest If it was just my wife and I give them the number of restaurants in the local area we both agreed we would’ve walked out. Most restaurants that I’m aware of during restaurant week serve their regular menu and then have a side menu specific to restaurant week. I found the options at this restaurant a complete upsell.
As far as the food I had the roasted chicken which was very good I will say. The other three choices at our table where the salmon and the rack of lamb. The kids didn’t complain about the salmon although the portion was extremely small with minimal garnishments. The rack of lamb was tasteless.
It would’ve been nice to enjoy their full menu and I believe the bar menu at the happy hour time frame which was not available at the regular dining tables may have made this experience better.
The service was fine with no problems they were attentive and polite. They don’t make the menu!
I would not recommend this restaurant.
We loved this place. It was as close as you can get to a Parisian brasserie. Food was very good and the service excellent.
The total experience was great, however the actual entrees could have been more flavorful. If you are looking for quiet, elegant, a great wine list and very decent food, its a winner.
Our waiter was outstanding. Food was out of this world.
Great food and good place for a date or families with well behaved kids.
Due to the holiday it was rather tight and our table was small and close to others but it was enjoyable. The best plate is the duck entree. Their in house Manhattan is tasty. If tote looking for a good meal... this is the place.
The food wasn’t special but with the atmosphere and the great staff it still made it a wonderful experience.
This is a good everyday lunch (or other meal) kind of place. All three of us ate everything on our plate- which says something!
French onion soup and rack of lamb are outstanding. Duck was not as tender as we hoped. Country French Tartiflette was a disappointment -- the cheese was overpowering. Bottles of wine are extremely expensive. It would be nice to have some wines that are priced at less than $45 per bottle. Tables are nicely spaced so you can have a conversation with your table mates. Service was perfectly timed. We never felt rushed. We had a very enjoyable evening.
Superior service and excellent food. Could not have asked for more for a midday Christmas dinner!
Great birthday present
Best restaurant in town as far as I'm concerned. Used to eat at the Del, but no longer. Bistro du Marché is too noisy.
Entertainer Don LeMaster made for an entertaining evening of good food and a good time.
I love coming here with friends for lunch and a quiet chat.
Great waitstaff! Accommodated late arrivals and small group without problems. Food was better than expected, with the branzino an excellent choice.
Food is decent. Service is wonderful. Nice casual setting. Bourbon Manhattans are exemplary! Scallops are excellent. Lobster Risotto and French Union soup are underwhelming. NATS ARE AWFUL!
I love the happy hour here and that they do it on Saturday nights since I"m never able to make a weeknight happy hour. This is a great pre-theatre dining option. The happy hour menu is extensive enough that you can easily build a full dinner out of it. The food is very good and it's a great value. Service was a bit slow this time. My glass of wine was gone by the time I was halfway through my food. I would have loved to have ordered a second glass (even though happy hour was over by then) but couldn't find anyone to take the order for it until I'd finished my meal.
OUTSTANDING FOOD AND GREAT SERVICE. ONE OF THE BEST IF NOT THE BEST FRENCH RESTAURANTS IN San Diego.
Excellent happy hour and great prices.
A big surprise- food excellent, you can hold a conversation, excellent service from Amber. My only gripe is that Open Table wrote me this morning that we were a “no show”. This is annoying especially since I warned the young man at the entrance to “indicate” to Open Table our check-in.
Such a unique venue for us...great service by Kailey(sp?) We loved every minute & will be returning for use of the other rooms!!
Had a special birthday dinner there, the food and wine selections were wonderful, the food was prepared perfectly, the service was friendly and attentive. Couldn't ask for more!
Convenient location with parking, large restaurant with classic bar space. Great menu... will be back.
Always a pleasure to dine at the Parc. We live around the block and go quite often. Thanks for a great evening!
A favorite spot. Thanksgiving pre fix menu selections were perfect. And, best vodka gimlet in town.
Sam's management skills are apparent. And, thanks to all the crew for the hard work on the holiday.
Seated right away on Thanksgiving Day. Waiter had amazing attention to every detail. Food was very good. Thanks to all staff for a great day!
I have been here once before and it was better the first time. It was Thanksgiving and they were busy but still attentive. Thanks Lincoln for taking care of us. The menu was very nice and included 3 courses. The only complaint I had was the Leg of Lamb was fairly tough. My fault for not saying anything but I didn't want to disrupt my other guests with a complaint. I will go again though.
Best Thanksgiving dinner celebrating my Loves 50th birthday! Samantha and her team are absolutely incredible! Such positive attitudes, great with our kids and loads of laughs shared! Food and wine were Delicious!
The food was delicious and excellently prepared. Service was good but a bit slow, so had to skip dessert because our parking meter time was up and meter too far away to add time.
Wonderful dinner...yummy desserts....delightful people from the owner to the wait staff! Super night with our family of 7
The best chicken and waffle in San Diego.
An enjoyable evening although the noise level is a bit over the top!
Great place for food and especially wine pairing dinners.
Both dood and service are excellent. Ambiance also
We were here for Sunday brunch. There were not too many parties at 1.15pm, so service was very fast and attentive. We had the Viennese pastries with fig jam for starters, followed by crab cake Benedict and a seafood Cobb salad. Some raspberry sorbet made a nice finish. A pleasant way to celebrate an anniversary. And a place we'll consider again on a future trip to San Diego.
I had a blast with my friends and we all enjoyed the food.
Fantastic place! Would go back time and time again
Excellent French food in a very nice setting.
Noise level on Saturday night with piano player/singer in bar area was way too loud.
Really good food and service. It has food for the pescaterian to the beef lover.
Love the food and this place but the last 2 times we've been here, service seems to be lacking. Often times too much times lapses between checking in on us.
