   This was my first time at Paradiso. We had a reservation and arrived a little early but they sat us right away. The waitress explained the menu to us and multiple other staff members checked on us throughout the night. We ordered fried ravioli, salad, pasta, and pizza and everything was delicious. As part of their Valentine’s partnership with the sweet easy, I was able to add chocolate covered strawberries and wine to our reservation which really made the date feel special. We’re already planning our next visit.

   We’ve been to Paradisos many times, and never a disappointment! Skillet lasagna was cooked perfect, as was the chicken Alfredo! Nothing more romantic then eating good food, while watching the river views. Establishment can get loud, especially when there’s a full house. But for us it isn’t a big deal. Staff is always so friendly. Best Italian in our area!

   Food & staff were absolutely amazing. View is very pretty beside the windows. Chairs were extremely uncomfortable, acoustics and aesthetics were disappointing-lighting was subpar and it was really cold. The wait for food was very lengthy but it’s hard to find people to work (especially on off season weeknights ) so we were definitely understanding. We will definitely be back, but perhaps for takeout or if we have more time to eat and be able to sit outside.

   The waitress was very efficient, friendly and professional. The owner came out and asked us how our meals were. It was very loud since there was a couple birthday celebration happening which made for unpleasant dinner but overall it was excellent meal and service.

   One of the best restaurants I have been to in quite a while. The food was FANTASTIC as was the service. We all had different dishes for lunch, all were fresh, hot and delicious. The appetizer with pimento cheese was off the chart awesome. Nice view of the inter coastal waterway and the bartender did not have a light hand when mixing our cocktails. Go! You will love it!!

    Fantastic menu and food, everything prepared and served fresh - and gorgeous waterfront views to boot! As such, your meal will take some time. Party of 4 with a reservation made 4 weeks in advance for 5PM (the only spot still available); we were there almost 2.5 hours. But worth every minute for great food and catch-up conversation with friends . Server Donna gave fantastic service, attention, and explanation of unique menu items. It is LOUD due to the bare floor and airy concept, so just know that going in. Highly recommend for a great meal!

    Great appetizers and salads, large portions. Some entrees seem a bit out of proportion whereas the Chicken Marsala (for example) was very heavy on the pasta but light on the actual Chicken Marsala/Marsala sauce, could be a little better balanced. Overall great food though.

    Delicious food (as always) and courteous service from excellent staff. The only drawback for us is how loud the room is as there is nothing to soften all the conversations happening. I enjoy seeing people enjoy relationship, but it can be difficult to hear those seated at your own table. (Just something to keep in mind if you want more privacy, or are “quiet talkers”.)

    The food was ok for an Italian restaurant. While the staff was friendly the service took forever. We had 7pm reservations, salads came about 8 and our food didn’t come till 8:42pm. The shrimp and grits were not liked and the homemade pasta left a lot to be desired. The deck seemed nice although we did not get to enjoy it while there.

    The food was incredible! We did a prefix meal for Valentine’s Day and we plan to come back every year to celebrate! There was a harp player that made the whole atmosphere even more romantic! 10/10 would recommend!!!

    I eat here frequently and they have wonderful homemade Italian dishes. The service is always great. This special meal for Valentine's Day was exceptionally good. They offered some unique dishes and prepared them in a way to express the feelings of the holiday. I really felt like we were sitting in a large city, very expensive restaurant but really we were eating in our very small town. Every detail was attended to! Great job and I look forward to some more unique food offerings!

    Wow! What a gem! I chose it because it was the only place on OpenTable near where I needed to be that evening. And what a DELIGHT! Incredible flavors, friendly service, beautiful view of the water. It would be easy to pass on the road not knowing it's one of the best places to dine in town. I wish we lived closer - this would be a regular spot for sure. The tomato sauce is exquisite - rich and robust. I want to try everything on the menu!

    The pasta and bread was all made in house and delicious. It was my first time at a restaurant where they made their own noodles and it didn’t disappoint. The salad was fresh and really good from local farms. The servers were very attentive even though they were insanely busy they did the best they could. They also took off 10% at the end of night because the food took a bit to come out, but we honestly didn’t even notice! I would go here often if I lived in town! Really a great little spot, with great people, and great ingredients.

    Atmosphere was great with the water view. Service and attention from owners was perfect. The food was outstanding right down to the dessert. Glad there is an Italian Restaurant of this caliber in Elizabeth City. Before making that hour drive out of town, I would highly recommend Paradiso.

    Always an exceptional experience. Love the fresh, prepared foods with no artificial ingredients. Uses local grown organic food items. Love the menu that is constantly changing. And the wait staff is excellent.

    I recommend to order a to go meal. Food was fantastic but the restaurant itself is leaning so much,I had vertigo the whole time. We waited longer than we anticipated just for a bread basket(once brought out,it was very delicious). We wanted Sweet tea but was told they were so low on it,to get something else. The noise level was so loud,we couldn't hear eachother sitting less than a foot apart. Portion size was not what we expected but the taste was definitely there.

    We had a fabulous build your own pasta dish finished is a cheese wheel plus an amazing pizza. And the bread sticks are addictive! Servers are professional and friendly and work well together for a seamless experience. Each visit here exceeds the previous. Highly recommended if your in the EC area.

    My daughter was visiting from Illinois and I wanted to take her to a restaurant that showed her the culture of Elizabeth City, so I chose Paradiso because I’ve been here before and love that it’s right on the river plus the ambiance and friendliness of the staff is outstanding. The food was excellent and my daughter loved her meal, which says a lot for the outstanding chef and crew! Thank you for the memorable evening and we will definitely be back!❤️

    We were celebrating my husband's birthday. We had a table with a lovely view of the river. Our waitress, Molly, was absolutely wonderful! The food was delicious, as usual. In house hand crafted bow tie pasta with white sauce, smoked bacon and mushrooms. The bread sticks are to die for!
