I just had my first trip to Parada in Walnut Creek. Overall, the food and drinks were very delicious. While I loved the roasted chicken at Limon in downtown Walnut Creek, I think I would travel to Parada the next time I am looking for Peruvian food. Overall, it was less crowded, less rushed, and easier to get a reservation for the same quality of food and drinks. My only con would be that they brought out our appetizer at the same time as the main meal. I don't like it when kitchens can't time that better. If you would like them to come out separately, I would definitely recommend just putting in your appetizer order first and ordering a main meal later.

This is highly recommended. Such good service, amazing food, and the space feels so comfortable. The cocktails, the empanadas, the ceviche, the chicken chicharrones, the scallops, the roasted chicken.... It was all divine. I'd like a sangria right now that I'm thinking about it.

The service was outstanding! It was a very windy night and we were outside but we were seated where there were barriers against the wind and heat lamps that worked very well! The food was excellent and Tony was very attentive. It was a lovely evening!

We were in patio seating and it was sufficiently warm with plenty of outdoor heaters during a brisk evening. The service was excellent, food is reasonably priced and portions is more than we would normally eat in a restaurant. Food was delicious and came out at a reasonable time. Cocktails were great and everything was good! Nothing to complain about. We’ve been here a few times and it’s been consistent.

The evening we went we sat outside. It was freezing cold. They didn't have enough heaters so it was a bit uncomfortable. My wife is Peruvian so we're very familiar with Peruvian food and various Peruvian restaurants in the area. I'd say the food was good but nothing really stood out.

The yucca fries with huancaina sauce were delicious. I would order them again. The lomo saltado was tasty. I would not order the arroz chaufa again; I guess I was looking for a more authentic Peruvian arroz chaufa. The ceviche de pescado was alright. Overall, it was a good first time. I would go again to try more tapas and platos de fondo, maybe a pisco sour.

We had a tapas dinner and the ceviche, ribs and empanadas were the standouts. Great service on the patio; staff were friendly and attentive. Overall a wonderful experience. Highly recommend.

This place is amazing ! I've gone to two other Peruvian cuisine restaurant and this one is by far my favorite. We just went for Mothers day lunch and the food and drinks are delicious. I was a little sketchy about the location its by an apartment complex and doesn't really have anything much around the area. Parking is street parking and there isn't much of it but after I had lunch I said "its way worth it ! The ambience is really nice they have good music playing and the décor is really pretty.
Customer service was amazing our waiter was very knowledgeable about the food. For starters we had the Ceviche Trio (The fish w/ the Leche de Tigre was my favorite! ), Anticuchos (The meat was cooked perfectly melts in your mouth) , and Empanada Trio (I loved how they had a veggie options) . For drinks we tried the Hummingbird (very refreshing) the Pisco sour (classic and delicious) and llamame Maria (it reminded me of Rompope but better) Hands down they have an amazing mixologist behind the bar. For our main course we had the paella, Adobo and Lomo Saltado all three where perfectly cooked. Lastly, we had to try the Alfajores for dessert perfect amount of sweetness and crumbled perfectly in your mouth. We left with no leftovers that's how good it was. Portion sizes where really nice perfect for 1 person or even two depending on the person.

I would definitely recommend this place and will be going back again soon !

Had to wait for our table because the host gave it away even though I called to say we were running late. The waiter did not know about the special arrangement about the special birthday occasion, but made up for it with a kind discount and treat. He made us smile.

Absolutely amazing experience. It was actually my birthday and I took my daughter here for some mother daughter time. The food was delicious, felt very safe, and the tables were far enough apart from each other I didn’t feel nervous eating with masks off. The food was incredible and it wasn’t too loud. We will definitely be back soon! Can’t wait to try different items on the menu. I do highly recommend the tuna tartare and steak. To die for!!

We are really happy to have a restaurant in this neighborhood! When you go by Parada you’re always like yeah I want to eat outside on a warm night. However! It is loud on this street and they okay the music loud to compensate. Also the day we went they did not have any of the fish/ceviche which is their big speciality. They also said they didn’t have any salads... the food we did get was good—chicken, octopus, empanadas. I think I will wait until I feel ok inside dining to come back and make sure that they have their specialties.

Outside dining delightfully busy with people out and about going about their lives, while you get to enjoy tapas amd wine and let it all go by you. Skip the main courses and just get lots of little bites to keep it fun and different.

Came here for date night with my wife. We has the empanada sampler and they were all very good. We also had Paella (seafood). The flavor of the sauce was good but the calamari was chewy, and the seafood was minimal. Two each of clams and mussels, 1 shrimp, 2 single bite pieces of fish. The was no crunchy rice from the pan or any flavorful tidbits from the pan it was if it was made in a stockpot. To add to the frustration it was $29. We don’t mind paying far more for meals but the value on this dish wasn’t there considering the amount of seafood served. The staff are pleasant and the drinks are small but tasty. Plan on $15 per drink.

Possibly one of the best Peruvian restaurants that we have tried in California.
Magnificent ceviche ... I think better than "La Mar" in San Francisco. Tiger milk .. excellent
Very high quality in the rest of the dishes.
Very friendly service but the service was quite slow.
A bourbon cocktail ... an iceberg in the middle of the glass ... Barely liquid. This is really too bad. Stratospheric price for such a cocktail.

Great location but service wasn't. I blame the fact that our server had mostly tables outside and we were inside. Other people came in after us and got their meal before us. He had to be flagged down for anything we needed. The music... started off great. It's a Spanish restaurant so only right you're playing Spanish music. 30 mins in, it keeps changing until we have I love the 80s on Pandora. The theme song to "Rocky", Lionel Richie then we move to the 2000s I'm a "Barbie Girl". Wouldn't be so bad if the sound was at a normal level. It kept going back and forth from extremely loud that your server can't even hear you to a normal level. We ordered the empanadas, looked great but didn't taste good. These had eggs, olive taste with beef or chicken. Their Pollo was ok, needed salt. The plantains, the side of bread and sangria were ok. I eat out alot and rarely write this long or a bad review. I couldn't wait to get the bill so I could leave and never come back.
