Possibly one of the best Peruvian restaurants that we have tried in California.
Magnificent ceviche ... I think better than "La Mar" in San Francisco. Tiger milk .. excellent
Very high quality in the rest of the dishes.
Very friendly service but the service was quite slow.
A bourbon cocktail ... an iceberg in the middle of the glass ... Barely liquid. This is really too bad. Stratospheric price for such a cocktail.
Great location but service wasn't. I blame the fact that our server had mostly tables outside and we were inside. Other people came in after us and got their meal before us. He had to be flagged down for anything we needed. The music... started off great. It's a Spanish restaurant so only right you're playing Spanish music. 30 mins in, it keeps changing until we have I love the 80s on Pandora. The theme song to "Rocky", Lionel Richie then we move to the 2000s I'm a "Barbie Girl". Wouldn't be so bad if the sound was at a normal level. It kept going back and forth from extremely loud that your server can't even hear you to a normal level. We ordered the empanadas, looked great but didn't taste good. These had eggs, olive taste with beef or chicken. Their Pollo was ok, needed salt. The plantains, the side of bread and sangria were ok. I eat out alot and rarely write this long or a bad review. I couldn't wait to get the bill so I could leave and never come back.
Great food, lots of wonderful choices. The ahi ceviche was delicious and super tender. Will be back to try more dishes!
I have been craving Peruvian food for a while, so when the opportunity came up about dining in Parada, I took it right away.
The food was really good and we really enjoyed it. However, we decided to eat "tapas" style (little dishes) and we ordered about 6 of them. The problem is that they were all brought out almost at the same time, so that allowed for some of them to get cold :(. It would have been better if they would have spaced them out and hadn't brought them all almost at once.
Another thing that annoyed us a bit was the fact that the music was playing quiet loud. Even though we were seating outdoors, the music in the background was overtaking.
Our server was not attentive at all. Food was either too cold, or overcooked.
Food was incredible. Service was wonderful. What’s great find! Try this place
Lunch on street side was mitigated by warm, welcoming pride service and delicious food and drink. We will be back even though we live 66 miles away!
The Lamb was amazing. So tender it fell off the bone. Chefs kiss*. The empanadas taste like the angels themselves made them from scratch. And the plantains were to die for. Thank you to the waiter Eduardo for a wonderful experience.
I have dined here before and the food continue to be very tasty. Love the empanadas.
Clean and outdoor patio area is nice with heat lamps. Service was good. All staff was wearing masks and was pleasant. Food was very delicious. Drinks were awesome!
Disappointed in the quality of service as well as the food.
Innovative cocktails and light bites so you can enjoy lots of flavors. Outdoor dining was pleasant even with the cold. Street traffic is a bit noisy but tolerable. The staff were attentive but not overbearing. We really enjoyed the empanada sampler. Every one in the sample was delicious. We also liked the yucca fries and chips with the ahi. Although there were just a few fries they were perfectly cooked and you could tell that the oil was fresh. The bit of cheese sprinkled on top added some flavor - catsup on these would be a travesty.
Great food and service. Every plate was delicious. Back patio with heaters was the perfect temperature.
Restaurant is on a busy street so there is a considerable amount of traffic noise. However it did not dampen the atmosphere and did not interfere with a conversation. Food was amazing and the drinks were poured in favor of the customer. I.e nice heavy pour. The staff was beyond friendly and professional, they had a unique kindness.
Cozy Peruvian place to eat. Will definitely go back and have the pollo La Brasa and empanadas.
The spices and flavors are always so interesting and pleasing. Good portion sizes too!
This place is amazing! The vibe and food is delicious. We had such a great time and will be coming back. I highly recommend the empanada sampler...it was to die for. Full of flavor in each bite. Service was great as well!
The food was amazing! Try the cebiche with homemade chips! And the short ribs were to die for. It’s just the service was very slow. Our food arrived before our beers and they were not very cold. We will go back, we just may get it to go.
Simply marvelous experience dining on the patio!
One of our local favorites. So happy to see them back up and running. I don't know what we enjoy better, the food, the atmosphere or the service!
The food was a bit overpriced in my opinion, however, the ambiance was amazing 👋
The service was OK. The wait staff was nice but could have checked on us a bit more often.
Overall a good restaurant with great ambiance and location.
After watching a Peruvian food show on YouTube, we wanted to try it. Found this place on Opentable and by luck it was nearby. The food was fantastic and the server was very attentive. The only downside was that we went there to try their beef hearts and tongue, but they didn’t have either item. Both items were listed on their online menu, I believe it had been awhile since it was updated. The server later provided a hard copy menu that was updated. Despite this hiccup, our overall all experience was very positive and I would recommend this restaurant to others.
Wonderful, very flavorful, interesting food! Great menu to explore. Great service and ambiance. What's not to like!
Some of the best Peruvian food in the Bay Area. The baby octopus was amazing.
Went for Valentine's Day lunch on a cold and cloudy day, outdoor dining due to Covid.
The outdoor seating was very cozy with a good amount of tables and heaters spaced well, along with wind barriers to keep the guests from freezing. Actually the area is well built, none of those cheap tents or plastic chairs.
We started wit cocktails, Pisco Punch for the Wife and 1920's for me, both were good, and appetizers, Cebiche sampler with chips. You cannot go wrong with fresh raw fish, tasted like a cross between Mexican Ceviche and Hawaiian Poke, very enjoyable
I was a little annoyed by the slowness of drinks arriving from the bar. We would have ordered more beverages if it was not so slow. BTW, drinks are a little steep at $15+ per, and my daughter is still waiting for her iced tea refill LOL, but whatever, didn't ruin the experience.
For entree, we ordered the Seafood Paella, the Ahi de Gallina (Chicken Stew), and the Pescado a lo Macho (Fish over Seafood Stew), which was the best of the three, we all agreed. The food was tasty and different enough that we would come back again.
Food and service were great! The empanadas and roasted chicken super tasty.
This is our first time dining at Parada since the pandemic began. The food remains excellent as was the service. The area of outdoor dining we sat in was pretty enclosed and warm. If you are very covid conscious and want to be really outdoors ask for seating out front. We were a party of 3 and would all highly recommend it.
Great fun food! Beautiful food that was delicious. Charming wait staff and nice outdoor ambiance it’s plenty of heaters. Our table was well distanced from others.
I love this restaurant. Very relaxed, fun, delicious food!
Patio outdoors was beautiful. Waiter was attentive. Food delicious!
Poor service and only ended up with a dry bland salad since I could not get anyone to take my order.
Good restaurant and a fun outing. Dampened a bit by having 2 of the 5 things we ordered 'not available'. It's certainly possible the on/off dining rules make it tricky for restaurants to have all of their regular plates. Service fine except for cocktails first arriving well into main course. Worth another try.
The food was mediocre. They didn’t even have Peruvian beer. Service was slow.
Considering it’s covid, the atmosphere was great! Clean and prompt service. Food was delish and tasty, arugula salad was fresh, calamari was tasty and not greasy at all, stew was delicious. Can’t forget to mention that the sangria also smooth and tasty.
Fantastic menu options and service --- we loved it and cannot wait to go back!
Best Peruvian food I've had in the East Bay! Excellent service, very clean, staff wore masks and the outdoor patio was spacious and comfortable. Our server Tony was great and very attentive. Portable heater and plastic siding kept us warm in the 50 degree weather. Highly recommend the empanadas, cebiche, and don't forget the alfajores for dessert!
Second time eating here, first covid outdoor experience. It was AMAZING! The food is piping hot, so flavorful and very authentic! Desert was divine, we had the caramel pudding and pannacotta. The staff was attentive and kind, yet not overbearing!
-Bathrooms and tables were clean and sanitized.
-outdoor tables were high quality wood, very comfy and spacious
-pyramid heaters keep you warm and light up the space for ambiance.
This is my new favorite spot in Walnut Creek. Never disappoints!
Parada is always included when we visit the Walnut Creek area. Happy to see they have survived COVID so far. Difficult times.
The menu has been cut back but most of the key items (empanadas & ceviches) remain and are excellent.
Wine list could use some attention.
The ambience isn't what it was--you must either be enclosed with higher COVID risk, or cold. Space heaters just can't warm everyone at the table. The music from the kitchen is intrusive on normal conversation.
I suggest ordering take-out. They deserve our support.
Wonderful meal-the flavors and colors were amazing!
This is our 3rd time here. We always come back because of the food. The service was mostly good, but it is never 100%. Since the service is now outside, when we got there, we were seated at the table without heating lamps. There were 4 more available tables and 2 of them had the heaters. I asked to be moved to one of those and was told it's reserved. That was just rude. Sorry. We were there first! If you don't have enough heating lamps, DONT OVERBOOK! When we were done, my back and feet were frozen. I wanted to leave and go somewhere else, but of course, because of covid, not many places were available and we were hungry.
