The breakfast menu is extremely limited, if you enjoy typical American breakfast staples, like a create-your-own omelette or hash browns. There were only pork-based meat options. No half-and-half or cream for coffee; only milk. The French toast was very good, but the bacon was soaked in syrup. Yuck! Getting seated took a very long time and was so chaotic that it dampened our experience. Very expensive on top of it.
Birthday. We get the gazebo with table all to ourselves. Server was extremely knowledgeable and made excellent recommendations, while also swaying us from things we may not enjoy. Server also allowed a coffee refill to go!Only knock is we waited about 15 minutes for a server once sat.
Papa'aina is always a treat. We had an amazing dinner and then a delicious breakfast. Chef LeeAnn Wong is great with her creations and always so spot on with satisfying the tastebuds. I have been coming since she opened and will continue to do so. Thank you for such a great experience.
We have enjoyed brunch at Papa Aina several times over the last few months and have never been disappointed. Eating in the courtyard is the best!
We went for brunch and sat outside in the lovely courtyard. My husband got the crispy ramen and I got the breakfast ramen. Both were great. We shared the watermelon salad as an appetizer. It was refreshing with a little heat from the jalapeños. Our server was very attentive. I’d definitely go back.
Loved the Location. The food was very good. Had the French toast, liked it but it sat in the Syrup and was a little soggy. Besides that very good
Excellent pork belly ramen. Cornflake french toast & millionaires bacon
Excellent food, very unique choices all very delicious. You can tell everything is freshly made !
Unique menu and incredible food. Only complaint is they won’t change anything on the menu for you- have to order as is. Service was also very slow. Great for a lazy morning breakfast in a cool location. Would come again 👍
Outdoor seating area was awesome and food was great! Kid friendly!
My wife and I ate here for breakfast two days in a row. Both times the food was outstanding. Coffee was very good as well as the Bloody Mary’s. We’ll eat here again if we return to Maui.
Delicious birthday breakfast! They sat us outside under the gazebo where we could see the water. Had a delicious French toast for me and my husband loved his pork and eggs dish.
Prior to Covid, I was a regular patron of the restaurant. Although we did not eat there daily, we ate there enough to talk to the caged bird by name. Then Covid happened. All things life, changed.
This past weekend, my family came from far away to congratulate us on our graduation, and asked me for a recommendation to a decent place to celebrate. Immediately, I made our reservations here and the family loved it! They were so thankful for the selection and have dubbed this our new family gathering place to eat.
The service is always outstanding here, the food is always awesome, and the ambiance is impeccable. Mahalo nui loa no ko ʻoukou haleʻaina.
Everything we ordered, which was half the menu, was delicious. Smash burger, pancakes, ramen, poke bowl, French toast, watermelon salad and eggs Benedict. Best meal we had all trip. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. Even the iced tea was great.
Loved it! Exceptional service and delicious food.
The food is very good and I love the ambiance! My favorite brunch location on the island!
We arrived and were seated quickly at our appointment time. The waiter greated us and took our beverage and appetizer orders. He did not share the specials or the soup etc. The back waiter brought us 7 water glasses and two bottles of water. We had to pour the water ourseleves. Once we poured it, the bottles were empty and we asked the waiter to please bring more water, they did not bring us more water until after the dinner was completed. We placed our dinner order and waited for about 45 mnutes for it to arrive. There was one other larger group in the resturaunt sitting pretty far from us but they were very loud and the acoustics in the resturant were terible, the sound was bouncing all over. We had to yell at our take to talk to each other over the sound. The other group wasnt necessisarily doing anything wrong, they were simply having a good time. I think it was just the acoustics of the resturant itself. I cant imagine how loud it gets in there if there restaurant was actually full of people. Our dinners came out incorrect/missing items and I asked the waiter to address the mistakes and to bring out the other items, he seemed irritated. He did not offer an apology... they brought out the missing items and then we asked for refils on our drinks, as every cup on the table was empty and we still did not have more water. He was really upset at this point. Seemed strange. When he brought the dinner bill there were extra rounds of drinks charged to the tab that were more than we ordered and received, which was dissapointing. I tried to let him know, but he really wasnt trying to help us anymore. There was no manager present to talk to, and him and hostess walked away together while we were leaving. There was no greeting as we left. Overall the experience was not good. We would not return.
Best food we had in Hawaii!!
Great experience, food was delicious and service was prompt and friendly. Mac nut pancakes were the star of the table.
Really loved the French toast and egg sandwich! The courtyard seating was pretty and calm feeling.
Such a quant place. We sat in the courtyard and it was beautiful. Live music entertainment was a one man band with his guitar. He was ok. Service was amazing. Food was good too.
Jen and Kazu were the best waiters/waitresses and ambiance was healing in every way! Food was actually the best in Lahaina! We live right down the road so we know if things are truest good or not and this place is well worth a wait or a reservation! We stayed over night which made it even more romantic 💚 will definitely be coming back rain or shine our new favorite place Mahalo&aloha 🤙🏽🥰
Thanks to the hostess who seated us early since 2 in our party were not yet there. The waitress was very helpful in answering all of our questions and accommodating to our diverse group (2 from California, 1 from Maui, 1 from Big Island and 2 from Oahu). All the food was very good and the selection very varied.
Love Papa'aina! Always a treat to see what Chef LeeAnn Wong will come up with. The french toast everyone was raving about was indeed satisfying. Everything was on par and just delightful! Of course I will be coming back. I think my favorite are the coursed meals. Brunch, dinner, it's all so yummy! Thank you for such a great taste experience.
Was excellent only issue out of their control was the crane working on the harbor on the day we dined here.
Normally noise level would probably not be an issue at all.
Great place for breakfast!
An oasis in busy Lahaina. Creative menu. Excellent service.
Very cool spot
Very friendly hostess and wait staff! Food was amazing!
Enjoyed our traditional and fish (Ono) Egg Benedict.
We had breakfast on Sunday morning brunch. We enjoyed the Mac nut pancakes, French toast, breakfast eggs, coffee and orange juice. The food was delicious. The server was very friendly and took care of any of our needs. We ate outside next to the gazebo. Beautiful Sunday morning. We are so glad we chose good to eat here and would recommend it to anyone else.
We had a beautiful breakfast in the outdoor courtyard. I had the Mac Nut pancakes and my husband is still talking about the Ono Benedict which has smashed potatoes done to absolutely crispy perfection- I should know since I robbed them off his plate! The Serving was huge and the hollandaise was thick and tangy. Our server was delightful, welcoming and attentive. A definite must stop in Lahaina!
Best breakfast in Lahaina! Ask for garden table for extra tranquility and social distancing
Beautiful terrace and delicious breakfast. Fruit platter is filled with exotic and local fruit. The smashed potatoes and breakfast Raman were excellent. Perfectly cooked eggs. Perfect way to start a day in Maui.
One of my favorite restaurants in Maui! The food and atmosphere are both fantastic. I highly recommend!
Good food and great service. We ate here 3 times during our week stay. Reservations was the only way to go!
Clam omelette was unique, and amazing. French toast was also incredible.
Absolutely excellent food, everything was delicious. The view of the wharf could not be beat. Only downside is construction in the area is noisy
