Papa J's Resto Bar is a "Filipino-Asian Fusion" Restaurant and a fully licensed Bar located in DKSN, the newest precinct in Dickson situated on the doorstep of Dickson light rail station and bus interchange. We are the first casual dining restaurant and bar in the Eat-Street Challis Lane to open with an instagrammable pop-art interiors and outdoor dining. Papa J's is a local family run business who are excited to showcase the great flavours of Filipino-Asian cuisine and beverages with a twist.

Good food and nice happy vibe! We had the lechon and the duck adobe. It was so yummy. The pork skin crackling on the lechon was a little tough on some of the pieces but the meat itself was lovely and tender.

This is a great place to experience Filipino cuisine. Food are seasoned nicely. Staff are very hospitable, respectful and courteous, reflecting the quality traits of a Filipino. Our visit was our 2nd time back and well keep coming back because the food is great, modern and relaxing environment. I highly recommend this place for sure

There was a Valentine's special event and it was handled really well. I think that elevated our dining experience. The food was much better than our first try. We tried their chicken skin, roasted cauliflower, grilled pork belly, crispy dinuguan, and palabok, listed according to our most to least favourite. The first three were really good, while we think the crispy dinuguan and palabok needs a bit of improvement. The crispy dinuguan was a pleasant surprise - the dinuguan was rich and tasty although a bit too salty. They go well together, but it just looks like two separate dishes sloppily put on top of each other. The palabok was okay but I think it lacks a few ingredients to make it special such as tinapa flakes .

Amazing restaurant ever visited in Canberra! Very tasteful food esp the beef brisket noodles. Love the beef so tender and juicy and the pork belly lechon- OMG! the crispy skin and tender meat. Never get tired of eating those meals! and don't forget their cocktails. We have the Boracay and Punyeta. It's exceeded my expectation for a cocktail!! Location is perfect! Parking was so easy and kids-friendly as they can play and run along the grass in front of the restaurant. The design of the restaurant was so cool and the staff were very accommodating and very friendly. Definitely a BIG YES to come back and will invite more friends and relatives from interstate. It's worth visiting!

This was the worst dining experience we've had in ten years in Canberra. The so-called cocktail service provided the worst Mojito ever tasted - akin to water with a lemon slice and a mint leaf. The brisket ordered was undercooked and other pork dishes ordered were overcooked and dry. The restaurant is difficult to locate and is expensive. Worst though was the band - a guitarist so loud we had to move outside in order to hold a conversation with our fellow diners. The singer, constantly sang off-key and made the whole experience really unpleasant. Never again - a dreadful experience.
