Paoli Schoolhouse American Bistro is located on the banks of the Sugar River in Paoli, WI. The Schoolhouse was built in 1864 and was converted into a restaurant in 2008. We pride ourselves in supporting local vendors and ingredients to bring you the best quality dishes.

Enjoy a meal in our beautiful bistro or on the deck/patio as weather permits. We have a great selection of wine, cocktails, and carry a variety of domestic and craft beers.

The Schoolhouse is also a great venue for small events - micro weddings, rehearsal dinners, bridal showers, baby showers, and any other celebrations!

Hasnt been in years. Very enjoyable. Food excellent but arrived a bit too quickly? Service very good. I was pleased that other diners were somewhat dressed up—rare these days!

Hidden gem! Yummy, upscale American fare that could accommodate all diet types! Fantastic seafood despite being located far from an ocean. And, of course, the beef and lamb were cooked to perfection.

Lovely Easter Brunch with the family . Mussels were a big hit as well as the jambalaya special . As always this place never disappoints.

Overall, I had a wonderful dinner with a great friend. The music in the main dining room/ bar area was a very nice touch and the musician sang all my favorites. The food was delicious and the servers were very personable and attentive.

Disappointed. My wife’s dish came to the table cold, my son said his steak wasn’t good, they forgot my wife’s desert, and my son and I never received the coffee we ordered with dessert. Overpriced for the quality and execution of the menu.
