   Our waitress, Denise, was absolutely a delight and the food, as always, was spectacular, especially the lettuce wraps. I only wish there were more vegan options.

   The food is great. The staff is very attentive. The mandatory charges are getting to be a bit much. I'm ok with the mandatory 20% tip because it is less than I usually tip. However, to charge $3.00 for ice in my drink? That is crossing a new line in the "value" equation.

   The service and food was exceptional. My party had the seared octopus, crab Rangoon, Wagu Sliders, Asian Caesar, Edamame and Rainbow Cauliflower. The Rangoon was so good we ordered another serving. I actually am making reservations for the coming week. Manny was an exceptional host.

   Didn’t have a terrible experience. But the fact that’s the first and only thing that comes to mind says that the value isn’t there for the price. Listen to the other reviews, there’s too many top tier restaurants in the area to settle for mediocrity.

    Our date night was spent at Pao. Our waitress Alana was very nice but it took forever for the drinks to come out. Food came out slow and even the bill. The ambiance was nice but the experience wasn’t so great. My fries were cold. Overall, we were disappointed

    Our first night here. It was very pretty. Very date night. We were sat by the doorwall so it was a chilly. But that is beyond their control. The food was very good and the presentation was awesome. We will definitely be back.

    Great location for nearby attractions. The staff was attentive and the food was excellent. The bartender made us custom alcohol-free cocktails that were just perfect.

    The table is too small for comfort. It’s very cold by the door if they sit you in the front. The food was awesome, the ambiance is great, the waitress was dry but service was ok.

    Celebrated my sister‘s birthday there on a Thursday night. Had the short rib which was delicious. The crab Rangoons and lettuce wraps were also great and the cocktails are boozy and well made. Restaurant has a club vibe which we loved. Would definitely go back.

    Our Chilean Sea-bass was over cooked and oily. They willingly replaced with a new food item. We deleted the Lobster carbonara, which was ver bland and almost a scorch taste. We were refunded for both items. And decide not to order anything else. The staff did apologize. It was just disappointing that they failed to adequately prepare items that we have had at other establishments, that should have been simple.

    Well I was disappointed. To loud to be upscale dining. Made reservations for husband birthday they didn't do anything special didn't even get a booth. Was at small table. Sent surf and turf back was very over cooked and presentation was low quality for 125$.this for sure is not fine dining. I really just expect more after seeing video online promoting new restaurant.

    The food was outstanding, but the service does not match the food. We ordered drinks as soon as we arrived, but they did not arrive until after one of our appetizers. We had ordered two appetizers, and the second did not arrive until we asked for it once our main dishes arrived. The app was then brought out cold - had obviously been sitting for a while. My spouse also received the wrong drink. Our server was nice, but a mandatory 20% tip is unwarranted for the service received. I would go back for the food, but set your expectations appropriately re: service.

    Reservation was at 8:45pm got sat at 9:10pm. Every food item was room temperature. Which lets me know my food was sitting for a long time before coming out. The servers do not write anything down so one of my plates was not rung in.. Waited an additional 30 minutes for cauliflower lettuce wraps. Placed a to go order that came out quicker than the wraps (wagyu sliders). I was told the kitchen was severely behind. Also, why is valet $40? This was actually my second time there just to make sure I wasn't being to harsh and the service and food temperature was just like the first time. There is customer service training that is needed having beautiful women in cute clothes is not enough…

    Terrible experience without resolution. They never brought out husbands entree and made up excuse after excuse as to why it was delayed. Caused us to be late for the show. No problem solving skills or creativity to sort it out. Ruined our evening.

    Great ambiance and vibe. Food tasted good but was not on same level as some of the other fine dining in Detroit. Drinks were exceptional though, and so was service. Would recommend just because of everything restaurant has to offer outside of just food.

    Pao was a positive experience overall. The price range is 70-80$ per person so definitely toward an expensive experience. Their drinks we had were good in general except for the Katana that we didn’t like (the juice was not a pleasant taste for us). Their food quality and presentation is really nice. We had different dishes and the prime filet mignon and their short ribs really stood out. Their chicken katsu was okay but different from it is traditionally served. I think the downsides of our experience was that the food was more Americanized than what we expected (we have been to other Asian fusions so I am not unfamiliar with the modifications done to dishes. In addition our waitress seemed rushed and she brought us one bill without asking and left (about 400$ bill for two parties)
