We had mom’s night on one of the large tables outside and the ambience was great! Our server was very attentive and gave great recommendations on menu items. We loved the chicken karaage and a fish dish with a lemon caper sauce and tomatoes. The lemon crunch cake and black magic cake were also delicious! Highly recommend Panya for lunch or dinner! Their menu is so diverse and extensive!👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

I keep coming back for my favorite dish, Steamed Fish in Ginger Green Onion Shoyu Sauce with Tofu. Their drinks are pretty good too but a little pricey and it takes a long time to get a drink.

I missed Panya's food, I used to go to their old location from Queen's street. I'm so happy I visited the branch at Hokua, food and desserts brought back good memories. My tummy was happy :). I am sure I will come back soon.

Our neighbor told us that Panya had the best oxtail with red wine sauce and it is absolutely true!!! We came on the evening when the winds were picking up and so asked if we could sit inside instead of outside reservations. The host got us seats at the bar and then the magic began. Alex was our patient and knowledgable bartender and wait staff. He had the best suggestions for drinks, how to enjoy the Tan Tan noodles, etc. Perfect evening!

One of my all time favorite restaurants. Great food, wide variety menu, friendly staff and fast service. Owner Annie is wonderful, caters to your every need, and is always seen walking around talking with her customers. Panya's Laksa Stew is a must try, and so is their Oxtail Stew as well. Eating both family style is best so everyone can at least taste those dishes. Then next time can order their own, and I'm sure you will. Lots of validated parking. Inside or outside dining available.

This was oneof my favorite restaurants. The prices have gone up which is not unheard of. However, when you raise the prices and then add on a kitchen service fee I question why am I still going to this restaurant. There are so many near by that are just as good. It is sad.

Steamed fish over tofu with ginger and green onions was delightfully light and ono. Thai steak salad is one of best on-island. Pleasant server. One of our fav’s, returning every time we come back, 2-3 times a year. We are Panya regulars!

The food was good, as usual, but the wait help left a lot to be desired. Very slow and inattentive. Perhaps it's coz we were sitting outside, as I was there in September and we sat inside, we were able to get prompt service.

We had the steamed clams, the laska and steamed ginger fish. The clams and the laska were on point, although the abundance of bacon in the clams sometimes overwhelmed the taste of the clams. The fish was actually salty— but the vegetables seemed to have absorbed the brunt of salt infusion by sitting in the sauce. The laska was on point as always— maybe a tad bit spicy than normal but still very much on point. Service was great. It was a bit surprising to see how slow they were although it’s been a bit since we’ve gone.

My son and I were catching an early dinner. It was pleasant and cozy, initially.. then it got too loud from the bar..I wish the bar area could be cordoned off to keep the noise level at a minimum - you can't enjoy a nice, quiet conversation when people sitting at the bar start getting unnecessarily loud and drunk.

Love the menu (lots of choices); however, we ordered the crab sandwich and there was only a slither of crab. It wasn't worth the $31 (!!). We also had the stir fry (chicken with beans/mushrooms) which was pretty tasty, and I would definitely order that again. Not sure if we would go back too soon; that crab sandwich was disappointing.

I made a reservation for a party of 10 people and the hostess gave the table away to another party who did not make a reservation. Keep in mind we arrived on time, staff apologized but there was another 20 minute wait for them to organize the tables together. Food was good and I’ve come to this restaurant many times but very disappointed with the service this time around.

gonna ask my daughter if she's interested to work at your place w/ kainoa who is the son of my friend. We are going to come there to show her the place one day that he is working. Hope she is willing to work even though she is a full time student at UH. Her name is Cree Sonsona.

Food was ok. Appetizers were better than the main. Clam chowder was a part of my meal and it tasted nothing like clam chowder. Had the hokaido bread pudding, which tasted nothing like bread pudding. Outdoor ambiance was nice. Waiter was ok. I was wearing a lei around my neck because it was my birthday. At the end of the night, my 14 year old daughter says to me, “Personally, I would have said Happy Birthday. That’s just the thing to do. You see a lei, you ask what the occasion is, and you give your well wishes.” Absolutely!

Had another great lunch. Usually I go for the Thai steak salad but today went for the beef noodle dish. It was really good. My friend ate the seafood Lakhsa which looked good as always. Dessert was the really tasty Japanese cheesecake.
