Well considering I made a reservation on open table and got a confirmation I assumed the place was open for business. We showed up and the place was not open. It was HORRIBLE to be with friends for a night out and need to make other pans. Open table needs to take closed restaurant off their site. I will not use open table again.
Our party of 7 arrived for our 8 pm New Year's Reservation to find out the restaurant was closed. We were then stuck with no dinner reservations on one of the busiest nights of the year.
We made reservations on Open Table for New Year's Eve at PAN. Imagine how upsetting it was to arrive at the darkened restaurant with a sign on the door saying "closed for business." Now I will forever distrust my Open Table reservations, not knowing if the restaurant is still in business.
It would have been nice to know that Pan was permanently closed before we made our New Years Eve reservation. Thanks, OpenTable 💩
I made a reservation for my boyfriend, parents and I for New Years Eve. When we arrived there was a sign on the door that read, "closed for business."
I was not informed by Opentable and there was no notification on Pan's website.
Needless to say, we were very disappointed. Because it was New Year's Eve, we were unable to dine at any other restaurant. They were all at capacity.
We had to drive home to the other side of the city to eat, then drive back to Lawrenceville to attend a party two blocks from Pan.
I hope that Pan has been removed from Opentable.

We made reservations New Year's Eve through Open Table, and showed up to a dark restaurant.
Following its opening in 2015, Pan had become one of my favorite restaurants. So while I had procrastinated a bit on the NYE dinner making reservations front, I was happy to discover that it had reservations available and was looking immensely forward to it.
Well, imagine my surprise come NYE when I discover it completely black with a small piece of paper on the door saying it's closed. Restaurants close all the time, that's a sad reality. But the fact it closed and the owners couldn't bother to inform OpenTable, couldn't bother to post a message on their website, couldn't bother to be one ounce of PROFESSIONAL is beyond me. You completely ruined my NYE along with countless others judging from the many other disappointed reviews I've read here.
The same people who own Pan also own the Andorra, Toscana Brick Oven, and Buford's restaurants and all I can say is I will be boycotting from going to any of them and I hope you'll do the same. Pittsburgh has enough other restaurants that deserve your dining dollars a whole lot more than a restaurant group who acted entirely unprofessional. You'd expect this behavior from some random, independently owned eatery. Nope-this is the behavior from a restaurant group that owns three other restaurants.
I made a reservation for my fiancé's birthday on NYE, but when I showed up it was closed. I checked their website, Facebook, and even tried to order food using their online service and nothing alluded to them being closed. I can only assume the other 17 reservations booked for the same day were met with the same "closed for business" sign. Luckily Brillobox on Penn was open and made everything better.

Pan has been a favorite gathering spot for our friends for quite some time now. Sadly, we arrived only to find the establishment completely closed. I'm not sure if they are permanently closed or if there was an emergency. However, having a large party it put a kink in the evenings plans and nearly ruined a surprise birthday event.
Open Table accepted the reservation for 4 people at 7 PM but PAN was closed and dark. Very
disappointing! We tried to get in Piccolo Forno but the wait was an hour, so we went to Tender.
We had guests from out of town so this was a disaster. Call the restaurant before you go.
Being a member of the AARP community was reluctant to make an online reservation. Upon arriving at Pan for a Christmas celebration we discovered it was closed for business. Having only made the reservations 48 hours earlier imagine our surprise and disappointment when we arrived. We had to even received a confirmation from Open Table. Needless to say I don't think I'll be leaving my family celebrations in your hands again.
It was closed. Had to search for another place to eat.
Great service. Nice variety on the menu. My wife and both enjoyed our meals. The waiter was super helpful with all of our questions on the different menu choices.
Our waiter was fabulous and so attentive to our large group. The food and craft cocktails were delicious.
