Palooza Brewery & Gastropub
We proudly serve Artisan Cocktails, feature Local Spirits and House Brewed Beer. All of our sauces, pickles, mozzarella cheese, and dressings are created in-house. We take pride in serving top quality meats to create our House Smoked Salmon, Pastrami, Chicken, and Ribs.
And we now have the upstairs loft ready for your next party! The loft has seating for 20, four beer taps, a large screen TV, darts and a pool table!
We have a dog friendly patio that is available all year round with heaters, shades for sun and a cover during the rainy season. In our outside courtyard we also have ping pong and Giant Jenga.
Happy Hour is Monday through Friday from 3-6, excluding holidays. Monday kids eat free from 4-8. Thursday we have live music starting at 7pm.
I so want to give more stars.
- Service was great
- loved the beer
- the place has a good feel
- value and portions were good
The food taste was solid for a Gastropub and although i did not have one, the pizzas looked super.
The big downside for me and there is no excuse for this, the half rack of ribs and fries arrived and although tasty, were close on cold. I don't know if they just say out too long before being brought to us or what, but cold is cold.
We will go back again for sure, to try again, but this was disappointing.
Just a casual evening
Great casual local spot for fabulous burgers and pulled pork. Deviled eggs were delish. Lots of custom options like home made pickles. Yum! Fun for ping pong, pool etc. Too
Great environment, TV and music but not intrusive. Fabulous food and service. Will be back!! Thx
We had the Avocado-toast and Mozzarella balls for an appetizer they were amazing and the Funguy pizza did not disappoint!
Pizza was good, but overall the rest of the food was just ok. Sounded interesting on menu but the taste just wasn’t there.
We love Palooza for their lunch menu, but found our dinners to be very bland and we're annoyed by the flies swarming around our food. On a hot day it is better to be seated under ceiling fans. Fans help drive away the flies. We will stick to eating at Palooza for lunch.
Went for drinks and apps. Everything was delicious. We we’re obsessed with the deviled eggs and shrimp corn dogs. Waitress was great and the live music was fun. We left before open mic started though.
A very pleasant staff who are very attentive. The bacon blue cheese burger is mouth-watering good. The house-made chips are outstanding. The Palooza Blonde Ale is light, flavorful and a perfect accompaniment the bacon, blue cheese burger. You can't go wrong here.
We enjoyed our lunch. Going back tonight with the whole family for dinner.
Our server was excellent!!
A local gem in Kenwood CA . Excellent value - good food , beer, wine and very good service
good inside and outside dining available Friendly and comfortable
I love this local place. Always great service, great food and a perfect wine country casual spot. A very fun place!!!
First time visiting and definitely will be returning!!
This is now the third time we have eaten at Palooza. The first time the food was mediocre. The second and third times the food has been much better but the service was TERRIBLE! The last two visits they have had two, yes only two, waitresses for the entire place. Waiting over an hour for our food to be served is unacceptable. I thought perhaps the first time of incomplete wait staff was a fluke, but after this evening having the same experience it’s clear that this is a management issue in terms of inadequate staffing. Sadly, we won’t be returning. Dinner shouldn’t take 2.5 hours from start to finish at a pub in Kenwood.
Good food and great atmosphere. This is an awesome lunch spot, especially in the summer!
The ambience is fun, service was good, but food was not. We had two pizzas and the chicken.
It was nice, energetic and super fun
We went for some drinks and food. The service was top notch. The fried pickles were delish! The wood fired pizza was so yummy! We loved the spicy oil too! Yum. Perfect place to relax and enjoy good craft cocktails and food.
Friday night so busy. So noisy couldn't hear anybody at the table. Took an hour to get water to the table. Food came out cold and uninspiring. My Dad said it was the toughest steak he'd ever met, and he's 90 years old. Would never go back. Was hoping for so much more.
Always FRESH ingredients!
Super FRIENDLY service!
Burgers cooked PERFECTLY!
GREAT beer & wine choices!
CLASSIC local restaurant!
We went there because our first choices were booked at the last minute. It was a late (5 days late) anniversary dinner but not looking for fancy. The chips with my pulled pork were not very good so I did not eat them. My husband's french fries were fine. Both entre's were quite tasty. We were too full for dessert! It was quite noisy and busy. We watched the action and it was fun.
Good food. Good prices. And great music performed by Justin Cohen. Many thanks.
We were early in the day. It looks like it would be fun later with more people and activity. There's fun things for kids to do outside on the patio.
Wonderful attention, superb pairings, great host!
The salmon risotto was fabulous! Everyone in our party enjoyed their meals.
The service was awful and the food sub-par. We both ordered truffle fries with our meal and received regular fries with shredded parm on them. My burger was barely warm, and my daughter wouldn’t even finish hers.
We love it!!! We have been there several times and it doesn't disappoint!
Good food just slow service. That was acknowledged and compensation made but they shouldn't have put themselves in that position.
Great food. Our bartender was great and provided recommendations in the area of brew pubs to try.
We always enjoy our time Palooza
We will come again and again
Been here several times before but this time service was very slow. We waited over 45 minutes for food. Ping pong table net and balls could use a little attention.
A great place to eat before wine tasting! We started with the oysters...wow. I split the shrimp sandwich and my friends had the Brie and bacon burger. We loved everything and will definitely go back again!
The location was convenient for a post-wine tasting lunch. The service was attentive and gracious. The fried mozzarella balls were very good as an appetizer. I had a yellowfin tuna sandwich that was rather dry, even after asking for additional aioli - I was looking forward to the focaccia it was served on, but it just kinda' fell apart - underwhelming.
This restaurant is good for a casual get together or a place to take kids for lunch or dinner.
Very casual atmosphere.
Food was over priced and the service was terrible.
Flies were everywhere outside in the patio and made eating uncomfortable.
They don't take reservations for the patio and made us wait 40 minutes when it wasn't even busy.
Favorite neighborhood restaurant! Great food and drink choices. Patio is terrific for outdoor dining.
Perfect for a late lunch after a tour of the local wineries.
The food was very good. Pizza excellent. Hesitated to go because some reviews said the service wasn't good. We had the opposite experience. The service was great!
We sat on the back patio and really enjoyed ourselves.
Good food, happy hour drinks, noisy on a Friday night, was quieter on the Wed. night we were there. Pizza had little cheese for an order of cheese and mushroom only, and was pretty dry. Rest of the food-Salmon, Short Rib, calamari was fine. Could be because the pizza oven was under a deluge of rain!!
Anyway, we'll go back, during the week.
Great pastrami sandwich and unique pesto Alfredo.
