Really enjoyed the afternoon tea. Well catered for dietary requirements.
Wasn't really worth $108 for their high tea, food was nothing special, ambiance felt like just some tables thrown into a room, tea was weak...for the price, it just wasn't worth it. We had gone there a few years back and it felt lovely, but it seems quality had dropped significantly but the price had gone up quite a bit.
Very disappointing afternoon tea. The room has changed. They use to have a lovely room with a piano & lounge style seating. Now the room has several buffet tables in it. The room felt more like a cafe. Not a very relaxing environment.
Great day.. happy and friendly staff.. awesome food.
Perfect. Warm and welcoming service, outstanding food, and everything is beautiful. My favourite place for a quiet hightea with special friends.
It’s hard to find a high tea in Sydney that ticks all the boxes these days, but The Langham has it down pat.
I couldn’t fault the food or the service and the price is spot on, particularly since they offer extras of any of the morsels you especially take a liking too.
I’ll be back and I’ll be recommending this to anyone who seeks a high tea recommendation!
As always, the high tea was a delightful experience. Staff are always so welcome & accommodating of dietary requirements, we never felt like a bother. A beautiful birthday surprise at the end- not expected & so lovely!
Issues: We were kept waiting at the reception desk. Then the waitress offered us table water and disappeared for a long time. There was no one to ask for anything. In the end we managed to call someone over to order. The waiter didn’t offer a menu to our daughter even though she is nine years old.
Positives: The food was nice. And even though my younger child was badly behaved the waiters and waitresses were patient and kind to him.
Recommend to sit down no later than 3:01pm if you wish to finish the food and fancy about the tea : )
High tea was beautiful and delicious - the sweets not too sweet, and the savoury perfectly portioned and with a variety of dishes. The setting was lovely with sufficient space between guests to have private conversations but close enough for atmosphere. We were in the harbour room and the sunshine and hints of it bouncing off the water was a delightful way to spend an afternoon.
The day we were there they were also collaborating to fundraise for breast cancer awareness so we had a champagne to go along with our high tea and it contributed to a $5 donation.
Service was very good and we could ask questions about the tea - staff were knowledgeable, professional and good company.
The afternoon tea was a prepaid gift for two friends and me to celebrate my birthday. I felt embarrassed that this was not acknowledged by staff in the first instance. Then, when extras of mineral water and second glass of champagne ( I did not know what the package contained) were offered, I again felt embarrassed. I then had to pay on top of the gift
Celebrating my 50th birthday with a wonderful high tea. The staff went the extra mile, wonderful service
It was a very special celebration of High Tea at the Langham. Food was delicious.
It had been 3 years since we had been to The Langham, the ambience is not what is was now more impersonal generally lacking. The food was good not great. The high tea experience was pleasant enough but not special as before.
Great experience. Will definitely be back.
Very lovely high tea with good service. Was missing some of the previous small details though. Liked the old layout and presentation better.
The high tea was good but not memorable. The Langham is plush and luxurious but the room used for high tea did not have aircon - so we were pretty hot on a humid summer day. Not ideal.
We went to celebrate a friend's engagement so there was a nice touch by the staff at the end but for the price i'd recommend other places ahead of this.
Outstanding food, perfect service and ambience.
This was our first stay at The Langham and it was faultless. The service at the bar and Kitchens on Kent was attentive, yet personal and really quite delightful. The food was innovative and beautifully cooked and presented. Staff were knowledgeable and rather fun, it's lovely to see people enjoy their job! Food was promptly served and cooked to perfection. A nice selection of drinks were on offer in a lovely atmosphere. A must try is the signature Langham cocktail.......this is an experience not to be missed! We will definitely be back in the near future. Outstanding!!!!
We did the Wedgewood Afternoon Tea, it was lovely.
Staff very helpful upon entry and polite always, great service and offering alternatives for non alcoholic options. Great lobby staff taking photos of us - a wonderful event to remember.
After not having had high tea in Sydney for a year, some of my family and myself were able to get together to so do. The experience was Covid safe, but I am an old-fashioned, and old person, who likes a high tea where things are replenished.
I'm not a big fan of the 'plonk a stand on the table' and that's it style of high tea.
We very much would have liked some more savoury items.
They were however, not offered.
What was outstanding was the high tea prepared for my daughter who is both gluten free and vegan. Her cake stand, was beautiful. She enjoyed almost every single thing on the stand.
The other outstanding part was the service.
It was attentive, and outstanding.
Again harking back, we were not offered Tea refills, or hot water.
I found the absence of this, a little disturbing.
Instead we were plied with alcohol which we didn't want.
We were given Pimms, we were given Bubbles, we asked for neither.
That aside it seems rather churlish, and definitely a First World problem. I think I'm coming from a place where I didn't like the waste as none was touched
All in all I would recommend the Langham and I would go there again.
Fabulous high tea, fluffiest lightest scones in Sydney (well done chef) and charming service. A wonderful afternoon.
Our High Tea was a delightful experience. The food and service couldn’t be faulted. We will definitely be going to the Langham again.
The service and ambience are fantastic. The hot food on the afternoon tea stand could have been hotter. A small detail. A very memorable afternoon
The ambience was quiet - which was perfect and exactly what we wanted. the food and the staff were so helpful. Definitely will come back.
I had also organised an overnight stay which I and my children absolutely loved.
THANKYOU TEAM LANGHAM.
It was a birthday and it was sensational.
Fab stay and afternoon tea at the Langham! Staff were lovely!
Great service me venue
Amazing Wedgwood Tea experience🙌
Pre-Christmas High Tea. Delightful experience for my daughters and I.
Terrible robotic service only one commendable team member worst service I’ve ever had
Well presented, Food Ok , atmosphere quite nice, just cant justify the cost for what you get.
Wonderful service and beautiful presentation. The staff where outstanding.
Delicious food, kind staff and a beautiful experience. Highly recommend.
Lovely champagne high tea. The food and ambience were pleasant.
The food & drinks were great. Enjoyable high tea. However the curtains were all shut, there’s no view. Also I’ve dined here twice in the last time and both occasions I found it hard to get service to order, pay, get menus even after asking. Expect to wait a long time to order and pay.
I don’t mind spending money but the High Tea at >$100 per head is ridiculously overpriced for a cup of tea and a few sandwiches. The cocktail wasn’t very flash either.
It was expensive and i felt when offered a drinker my 11 year old daughter it turned out to be $15.00 worth. I felt I was upsold without any knowledge maybe I should of asked at the time. On arrival at 3.08 the table was not ready but at 4.45 the lights were dimmed to indicate time to leave this was unnecessary we are all adults and a simple mature conversation who asking could I get the bill for you would suffice.
I took my nieces and sister-in-law for their belated birthdays as we did not see each other due to Covid. The staff were so lovely and attentive and marked the birthdays with a special platter or petit fours. The food and tea was delicious. The only downside to our experience was the tea was served in what seemed to be a cafe just off the foyer rather than a lounge area which appears in the photos. This made it feel rather like we were at a buffet breakfast rather than a special occasion The table we were sat at was a little uneven and wobbly, while the staff did rectify this somewhat it was still a little wobbly and also added to the cafe feel. I understand that space in the lounge might be limited due to social distancing so wouldn't hesitate to go again.
No atmosphere the price was a disgrace $850 for 4 ppl please what a joke. Food average would never go back and I would not recommend ever
