Our highly experienced team is led by co-owners Esther Imotan and Chef Zachary "Buzz" Willey. The service, wine, cocktails and food are all equally attended to ensuring a top-notch experience each time you visit.
Food and service were excellent; the noise level was excruciating and detracted from the overall experience.
Pallet NEVER disappoints. The food is sublime, the service is superb, and the drinks are amazing. Esther and her crew set a bar in Salt Lake City that's hard to top. Thank you guys!
Inventive, fresh, seasonal food with vibrant flavors; excellent wine/cocktail list. Pork chop nearly raw in center, re-grilled but then dry -- and server did not return for 15 min after served again; otherwise would have given 5 stars to this place. Amazing appetizers.
Best food in SLC!
Fabulous! Everything was perfect
Very good food and service.
service, food totally unacceptable. slow, incorrect order, extremely slow to follow through on orders, requests, drinks, etc
would not recommend to anyone and would definitely never return!
Great menu, well-plated. Pleasant service. Unusual desserts!
A well-finished place in which can taste good American food.
Has always been good but Saturday evening was above and beyond excellent. Now one of my all time favorites in SLC.
Our favorite place in the city...great food, spectacular cocktails, excellent service, and terrific attention to detail.
We really enjoyed the food at Pallet--we could tell everything was prepared with tremendous care. The portions weren't filling, even with dessert, though.
Awesome as always! Our server was simply fabulous!
Super interesting and cool decor in the restaurant, really innovative cocktail menu, and the food was complex and they really explore utilizing different combinations to tickle your taste buds.
Great Food, how come I did not discover it before. I am telling all my friends, service excellent
Incredible service from Tyler and impeccable FOH. Drink menu, while quite expensive for the dinner menu, was incredibly creative, artistic, and delicious. The ambience and furnshings were fantastic. The food, while beautiful and creative, wasnt terribly enjoyable. Sometimes lacking in what made the dish flavorful or unique (burrata with sunflower seed puree lacked enough contrast from the 3 tiny pieces of pickled fennel buried beneath the cheese). Still an incredible place and greatly enjoyed our night.
The ambiance is great, the food is great, but the service and staff is exceptional and I would return just for that.
Food and ambiance were excellent dan the server was very professional and anticipated our needs
Amazing food! Perfect combination of flavors and texture! It is definitely a place where you want to go for a sophisticated and tasteful dinner!
Food was exemplary and service was attentive and relational!
Small menu where you have to ask what a lot of the ingredients are (maybe trying a little too hard?). Food & presentation was good- but again, not much to choose from. Ambience was dark & pretty noisy. Wine was overpriced.
My girls birthday. She loved it.
One of the nicer eateries in downtown SLC. Can't say enough good things about this place - and the cuisine is healthy and sexy!
This is simply my favorite restaurant and bar. Anywhere.
When you visit, ask to work with Jessica and pray that Bijan is making his magic behind the bar. The food is exceptional and we're never disappointed, ever.
Note: Dessert should never be passed up.
We love supporting Esther's Pallet and all the culinary greatness she's created for her Salt Lake family.
Drinks were spectacular and food was great, just perfect for a group of business travelers -- some of whom for which this was their only chance to have a meal in SLC this trip!
Special shout-out to the wildly accommodating staff. This is not a place to go if you are in a rush (and, I would argue, that is part of the intent and appeal) -- but we ended up growing the size of our reservation, then shrinking, then picking up two unexpected RSVPs, then having a tenth person show up without telling anyone -- and they handled it all with grace!! Would come back here anytime.
Great place, service and food
Wonderful ambience and setting, including cozu lighting, vaulted ceiling, welcoming wood paneling, And understated but hipster bar area. Great food, interesting drinks, and outstanding personal service from Jessica. And French press coffee was an added bonus, hit the spot.
The food was good here but unfortunately we were still hungry when we left. We did not order dessert because the menu was pricier than we had expected. The menu is quite small. The great thing was that they had no cod and replaced it with halibut. We loved that idea. I thought it a bit salty although my husband did not.
Intimate and creative. A fun spot with an inventive menu. Tasty food and great ambience!
The food was exquisitely prepared with impeccable service. Our waiter was very helpful in describing all the dishes and we made our selection. The mushroom entree and the pasta entrees were so flavorful and different. Prices are higher but the quality makes that understandable.
This was our third time at Pallet and we love it. Jessica, our server was awesome too!
Great food great service
While visiting a Salt Lake City, we dined at this 5+ star gem. The cocktail menu was unique and outstanding! Wine selection very good but the cocktails were superb! Charcuterie board was tasty but average. Small plates had excellent variety and the Jerk Duck is not to be missed. The dinner menu had unique and excellent selections as well. Pork chop was beyond outstanding and portion size was huge! Other entree we had was a vegetarian plate of mushrooms- it was also a large portion with earthy flavor but excellent. Our waiter, Tyler, explained every item on the menu that we were interested in with clarity and precision. He is an asset to this awesome restaurant and made our experience even better. Ambiance is also outstanding as it has retained the brick and wood of the old creamery delivery dock. Additions of imported wood, period art and interesting benches, seating and lighting makes this restaurant so appealing! Would love to transplant the “Pallet” in its entirety to Florida.
My wife and I love trying new food. We love trying new places. Pallet was high on our list to try. The atmosphere and service were great. The menu was exotic and the flavors were definitely different. A little too different. We had a salad, the duck, and garlic potatoes. We didn't love anything we tried. They were fine, but not anything we'd go back for. The portions were quite small and the cost was quite high, as well. Now, a lot of this review might well be on us more than it is on Pallet. I'm sure many people love it, so I'd recommend it...with some reservations.
Spectacular venue. Rustic modern decor with crushed velvet cushions and antique lighting. Cozy, intimate, swanky. The cocktails and menu are off the charts. Absolutely recommended.
As always, the food was wonderful. To finish up the meal they had a cucumber sorbet that was amazing. Pallet is a great place to celebrate any occasion.
This is our go-to, feel good, foodie-family place . We visit SLC every few months from the Bay Area and we come here every time and it never disappoints. Everything- the food , the design and the service are all excellent .Highly recommend!!
The food was undercooked and service was slow. In addition, it was quite noisy for a conversation.
The food was excellent. Everything was a work of art from the food on the plate to the overall aesthetic through mout the restaurant. The scallops were amazing.
Food was OK, the host was NOT ok! We made a reservation through OpenTable and showed up on time, and we were seated in a VERY DARK corner. We asked the host to change our table (the restaurant was only 60% full and there were plenty available tables), she stated that those are reserved for other people. 10 minutes later, another table became available and since we were still waiting for our food (very slow service by the way, we waited an hour to get our food), we asked again to be moved to the table, she ignored our request and brought in a couple to sit at the table (they did not have reservations!)- I don't think it is THAT hard to accommodate a simple request of moving to a table with better lighting.
