Service was terrible - the waiters were flustered because it was a Friday night and many people came to dine before a show at the Palladium, right across the street. Would expect them to prepare for such things. Food was mediocre at best. They had a “seafood boil for 2” that was lackluster at best and didn’t make me feel great after. Cocktails are expensive and not terribly strong. We spent over $200 for 3 people SHARING plates and did not leave satisfied.
Great food and the potions are large. Great drinks, friendly service and cool vibe. Brussels sprouts are amazing! Walking distance to Pantages (a few blocks, but totally do able).
Food, drinks and ambiance were amazing. Our server Melissa was incredible as well. Will definitely be back!
Beautiful restaurant, fantastic service and an overall elegant dining experience. We will be back!
Awesome avocado toast. Great (but pricey) drinks.
I like it!
So glad we chose this location for our Saturday night dinner! The food as amazing, staff was great answered all of our questions and checked to see if the kitchen could make special accommodations and they did. Will definitely come back to dine at Paley.
AC wasn’t working and very hot inside.
I was pleasantly surprised. This place is kind of hidden in the Viacom complex. Pricy, but the food is good. My only complaint is they mixed up the temperature of our steaks.
Our waitress Chris is always fantastic! Great cocktails and consistently good food. Love that this is in our neighborhood.
We were there before the Diana Ross show and had a short window to eat. The service was excellent and everyone went out of their way to get us served and our on time! The drinks were excellent, my favorite is Last Call!
Meh. Burger was good. The waiter was strange. We Said we needed more of our wine and all he did was push the wine bucket closer to us. Then walked by about 10 times never asked us how our food was. On the flipside we did ask for a few things from another waitress there and she was very nice.
This was our second visit. Great food both times, but on both visits we felt they poured short glasses of wine. They were glad to top the glasses up, but we still had to ask. Then surprisingly, after asking us if this was a special occasion and we said yes, it was a birthday, they charged us for the slice of cheesecake we ordered that they put a candle on. They might do best to remember it’s the hospitality that makes restaurants ones to return to.
Love this place - so easy - lovely service and food and a cool chilled vibe
Very pretty interior. Not too crowded or noisy for dinner. Pretty outdoor patio but frankly I found the food just okay.
It was good!
Bathrooms were out of service. Which is odd for a restaurant to be open with them down
The food was delicious, but my dish could have used an extra scallop or two. Good service.
Excellent food and great service. Highly recommend it.
Very disappointed about the culled menu. We used to love going to Paley but this past visit found the menu very limiting, unimaginative and uninspired.
The food was okay, nothing stood out as exceptional.
The server was very nice but not all that attentive.
Thank you for dining at Paley.! We always welcome any kind of feedback, as it is a proactive way to improve our restaurant. We did in fact make several changes to our dinner menu. My apologies none of our new options caught your eye! We enjoy exploring new items to keep our menu fun and exciting for returning guests, while maintaining our best-selling and signature dishes. We will keep your opinion in mind as we consider our next menu change. Once again, thank you for you feedback
This place never disappoints! Get the burger!!!!!!
The Chef is a true visionary. I rate the food lower, however because I have a severe allergy to beef and pork and there was literally only one item on the main menu I could have without risking cross contamination. Even with all of the seafood and the sushi on the menu, I was severely limited in my options even with making a reservation well in advance of opening that noted my allergies.
Otherwise, it was a delightful experience!
Good but not great, Paley delivers decent food in a terrific location. If your meeting up with a friend and food is not the focus, it’s a very good choice.
The food was not good. The menu is all over the place and nothing stands out. Won’t be back until I hear they’ve revamped the menu. Disappointed.
Good afternoon! Thank you for dining at Paley., and thank you for your honest feedback! We are in fact changing our menu up quite a bit, so hopefully we will see you in soon for another try. Again, thank you for your constructive feedback. We appreciate your patronage! Katie Maggart Senior Host
Julie was our server she was a 10
Knows her product
Food was great
Drink specials 👍🏼
Im a ones every two weeks customer and will never go back to Paley again do to i left my wallet in the car so i paid 400, the bill was 350 and they told me no change. And after 3 people came by and keep asking can i take the money. 1st if they dont have change? They should get change from somewhere or wait until i give them correct change. I been treat it like going to fastfood store
Good afternoon, James! Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We appreciate your consistent patronage, and I sincerely apologize for your negative experience. I'm happy to admit we were not prepared in this situation, and will grow from this particular mistake. Once again, thank you for making us aware of your experience. I understand your hesitancy to return to Paley., but I sincerely hope to see you dine again at our restaurant! All the best, Katie Maggart Senior Host
The food was not great. The oysters had chards of oyster shell in them. I told the waitress that. They didn't remove them off of my bill as a courtesy.
Great service, beautiful environment ...stunning design.....i mean stunning only to be outdone by the cuisine. Best salmon I have ever had. One of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had.
The best part of dinner was my glass of champagne, which came with a chilled glass. That was a wonderful touch! The dinner itself was mediocre at best. I ordered sushi, without the spicy mayo sauce, but the sauce came on top, with no apology. The server-assistant manager brough another sushi, but charged us for both, despite the fact that I stated in a very nice way, that we ordered the sushi without mayo. Otherwise, I was hoping to taste one of their famous dishes, watermelon wrap with tuna or salmon, but that was not available. The rest of the food was nothing to write home about, and a strange mixture of tastes. Mostly, I felt bitter about spending $100 each for two, splitting a couple of mediocre appetizers, dessert and one drink.
We really enjoyed our meal, the service, and the environment
Overall the food quality was quite good. We had the prime rib and Berkshire pork chop along with some appetizers
The Tater tots were pretty normal, nothing special. But the chicken liver spread was GREAT. Don't get bread service, the butter is better than the bread but the bread isn't particularly good.
I had a fly in my drink and was told I would get a replacement, we waited about 10 minutes before deciding "what the heck, we have other plans for tonight" and left. I'm not going to gripe about a drink on a busy night...but it was a bit of a bummer.
The filet mignon is always a must and one of the best I've had.
Really nice place, while we waited we had the option of grabbing drinks at the bar until they set up our table. There were valentines days specials and i ordered the lamb Wellington, which was disappointing because the lamb was quite dry and the majority of the dish was the pastry layer. The sauce was very good though and the service was outstanding. For the price i would’ve expected something cooked to a certain standard especially on a special night out. Could just have been that plate specifically, because the bread service and the sea bass we ordered for the table was delicious. I would still recommend going to Paley for the history, they have a projector playing old CBS reruns that make for a fun conversation starter. Definitely would go back for drinks!
Love this place... friendly service, big varied menu, and great cocktails.
Amazing food prep and presentation. The beet salad was divine and unlike any other I've ever had. Highly recommend Paley for tastes, ambiance, and overall vibe. Can't wait to get back again!
Ancient grain salad was amazing! The Ragu pasta was really good and it was a hit with my husband. Tofu Tots were very good, disguised as healthy.
We dined at Paley before seeing Pink at the Hollywood Palladium. The proximity to the Palladium can’t be beat. The ambiance is a city buzz, like you’d find in NYC. The food is great. The service wonderful and the bar scene was cool hangin’ while waiting for the rest of our party to arrive. Paley has a nice outside seating area that’s great for a warm night or a chilly night under the heaters. Parking in the building is easy. It’s our go to place now when we are looking for civilized chic in Hollywood.
We usually like Paley. But this evening had its problems. The noise level was very high. I would suggest not going too soon after offices let out, especially on Friday. The kitchen was quite slow in getting out our food, which was fine when it arrived, but undermined by annoyance at the wait. Our waitress was fine, but of course had no control over these details and continually apologized. I'd still recommend Paley, but be forewarned about time and other issues.
I've eaten at Paley many times, and though it's often very good there's always something wrong either with the food or service. This time it was the food: after a pointed conversation with the waitperson about my difficulty in getting a medium rare steak when I order medium rare--results range from medium to well done--she assured me that Paley indeed cooks medium rare steak medium rare. So when my steak arrived medium, I sent it back--and then had to wait for a new one while my friend's dinner got cold because he wouldn't eat without me. The second steak was delicious, as was our dessert (matcha donuts with a chocolate custard), but the evening never recovered. I think Paley should be truthful and say, "If you want it medium rare, order it rare because our line cooks are incapable of turning out a rare steak."
