Palermo Ristorante Italiano
We had eaten at Palermo's quite a few times and then we moved out of state, four years ago. We were back in the area to visit friends and relatives and had friends meet us at Palermo's for dinner. We have never had anything for dinner that we did not enjoy, however, this time they had their Lasagna as a special on the menu the night we were there. Their Lasagna is "Out of this World." All four of us ordered the Lasagna and the sauce was so creamy, with no tomato acid taste and nice thin noodles. The serving of lasagna we received was huge, we ended up taking home left overs and had an additional two meals later. Papa greeted us at the door as usual with a big smile, hand shakes for the men and hugs for the ladies. Papa's daughter was our waitress and could not have been more helpful and sweet to us making sure everything was OK with us not only in where we were seated but also if there was anything else we needed. As always service, was fantastic, and food delicious. We always try to get there for dinner when we are in the area and we will always recommend this restaurant to our family and friends. I would rate it as a 10+ star restaurant. I might also add that we made our reservation on line and we received a confirmation number immediatley and also a reminder on the day of our reservation.
Excellent menu choices. Food very good. Generous portions. Great for share dining. Service very congenial. Will definitely be back.
I booked my reservation on open table and confirmed my reservation through open table . When we arrived at the restaurant they did not have our reservation and asked to see my reservation confirmation on my phone . Although embarrassing I complied , the gentleman basically scoffed at us . Decided to take us to a table to be seated , before we could be seated , he turned around to me gave me the menus and said “ you can take it from here “ and walked away ! We really wanted to leave but had enjoyed our last three meals here . Luckily the lady that waited on us was fabulous, although not dressed as a server , she was kind , upbeat and very courteous. We really enjoyed having her wait on us . Sadly we will not return here as I believe we were treated this way because I had four twenty year olds with me , and that the gentleman ,who was I believe the owner and one of the female servers decided that they did not need to extend us common courtesy.
Food was delicious and service was excellent. Nice family owned restaurant and a definite must for families.
Amazing restaurant!!!! The owner comes and talks with everyone, it’s amazing! Plus you can take how authentic the food is! A must try for any Italian food lovers!!!
The Best you will find in Elk Grove!!! We will be returning, for sue.
Second time dinning at Palermo restaurant. Enjoyed dinner, staff and experience. I would recommend this restaurant for family and a date night.
Have been going to this restaurant for years and will continue going because of the good food and very friendly staff. Love the Zambaione. Must try if you haven't been!
The food is just excellent. The staff from the time you arrive to the time you leave treats you like an old friend or family.
The food is homemade and plenty. This is not your Olive Garden variety THANK GOODNESS. So expect to pay for the quality and the yummiest food you will ever taste.
Once again, we had an excellent meal experience. We are always greeted in the most friendliest of ways, receive a wonderful table and then enjoy the fantastic service and food. The entire family is so kind and responsive to our questions and to our requests.
The food was wonderful - we tried new items and even took home the well-known lasagne (excellent and delicious). Thank you for such a wonderful experience.
We met with friends. Based on a Yelp review my wife and I decided to split a lasagna and each half was so large we ended up taking home enough for three more servings! Our friends’ portions were huge as well. The staff are family members of the owner and were friendly and knowledgeable. Everyone said they were very happy with what they ordered, which included cannelloni and rigatoni with meatballs. We also had their minestrone and it was top notch. The photo is half a portion.
The food was great my granddaughter great grandmother is from Italy she had a blast talking to the owners and their daughter
Extremely poor service, table of four, we were in the restaurant a total of three hours. They forgot 1 of our orders, so they "expedited order" that took 30 minutes while the rest of us poked around and shared our entree's. All four of us were very disappointed. They did comp the entree they forgot. I doubt that any of us will return, al least not in the near future.
We visited Palermo (from Sacramento) for a graduation dinner with our 14 year old granddaughter. There was a noisy party in the restaurant (children yelling) so this was not the restaurant's fault but it was loud in there and thus was not relaxing. The food was okay. The dinner salads were pretty bad. (we ordered 2 salads) The desert Tiramisu was really good. We went to this restaurant for good Italian food but we felt what we ordered was just "okay" and nothing really special. They definately need to improve their salad not just use greens dumped from a plastic bag on a plate. I can do that at home.
Amazing food and service as usual. We love coming here for date night and any family birthdays.
Fine dining with authentic flare.
Wonderful experience - the food, service, and atmosphere all led to a delightful dinner
We found this restaurant by searching on line for Italian in the Elk Grove area. Two popped up in the area we were looking for and we definitely chose the right one. This is a family owned and operated establishment. The staff is very friendly and service was excellent. The food was fabulous. We were there celebrating two birthdays and they served the birthday boy and girl a special desert of fresh strawberries with a home made whip-cream and rum concoction that was incredible. We will be going back!
Located in strip mall. Food was very good but entrees other than pasta are pricey.
Great food and service
Food was excellent but service was slower than usual and they weren't that busy.
We went on Mother.s Day so the service was very slow, but nice people and great food.
First time eating there, the food was excellent. So glad I finally ate there with my family. Great portions and lovely restaurant. Friendly staff. Would definitely eat there again.
