Specifically asked to have apps first then entrees, of course everything came out at once. I went right to entree, was ice cold. Ate apps., so mins later entree came out. Wife had eaten and was ready to go. Mgr did take entree off the bill, and percentage of check. Not impressed
We were attending The Annapolis International Sailboat Show and we always dine here when we are in town. They simply have the best food, service and ambiance and we leave anticipating our next visit.
The food is consistently good here. I also love the atmosphere.
Food was very flavorful
Rum menu is a nice change from other venues.
Menu OK - was expecting more S & C American fare than was there.
Entree choices not very inspiring. Food OK. Value pretty good.
Great drinks! Was expecting more from the menu and the food but it was ok, fish tacos well seasoned
Bring back the duck tacos.
I have been to the Paladar three times. The first time, the place was just opening and the service was slow. I also did not have a mojito or guacamole, which was my mistake. The other times I went was for dinner and it was fabulous! The pork shank, tacos and mango rice are all must haves.
Best Tacos around.
The food was pretty good and my waitress was excellent. The only issue I had, was the fact that it is the only brunch place I've been to in the area, when you can't just request champagne alone when you do be bottomless mimosas. Yellowfin will do it with no problem. And Blackwall Hitch gives you a $6 up charge. But they still let you have the option.
We were seated immediately and our server was great in responding to best choices - sharing her knowledge of the food and drinks, making recommendations when requested. The food was delicious and the drinks very tasty. Our wait time was good allowing us to enjoy the wonderful guacamole and chips before our entre came out. The noise is a bit of an issue, but not so bad that you can carry on a conversation. All in all this is a place we love to come to for Cuban food and rum drinks.
Service was awful this time.
We always eat here when we visit Annapolis. The food is fabulous and the staff is extra attentive and friendly. I
Apps and sides and cocktails were great! Entree’s lacked seasoning. Service was mediocre- long periods without any attention after meals and to receive check.
Ate outside - 1 for great ambiance, 2 because it was an absolute din inside with an overflowing bar! Server was less than commendable: no smiles; ordered drinks for the 2 of us - brought one - the other later - why? Asked if we wanted to order anything else before we even received our order. Kinda weird. Almost made us wonder if he was all there - preoccupied? On drugs?
Very pleasant restaurant, but lacks any Latin vibe. Slightly more audible music would push the mind where the decor does not. Drinks are great; if you can't find a rum you like here, you're not a rum drinker at all. Everyone in our party of 7 ordered something different & shared guacamole (fantastic - & I dont like guac) & pico (not enough for the chips served which were a mix of traditional, plantain & malongo?). I chose the feijoada stew. While this dish is labeled as spicy, it is not. Same for the adobo shrimp & grits. Blackened taco, crispy tacos, a Cuban, skirt steak & an Argentinean grill rounded out the order. Churros were very good! The service here was impeccable, a clean & quiet spot. The food is cooked well, it just lacks a "mark". I recommend trying it, but nothing screams at me "I can't wait to come back"
We always enjoy meals here with our eye doctor since we became friends. They make a great premium mojito, snd their guacamole is the best I’ve had anywhere. Was sorry to see the duck tacos have left the menu-they were my favorite!
My first experience for my anniversary was excellent. This last time I went it was awful! The drinks were horrible and expensive for the lack of quality. Unfortunately I won’t return. 100.00 wasted
Service was very poor, especially since there were few people in the restaurant. My braised beef tacos were very good but the menu dis not specify that they were Ropa viehella which I was specifically looking for. My guest had to ask for hot sauce foe her tacos and was not thrilled with what they brought her. The Guacamole was excellent as always.
Our server was very friendly and attentive. Mojito was refreshing. It was Taco Tuesday and the price was very reasonable... and a lot of food! In my opinion, the tacos could have been more finely seasoned and everything a little lighter on the salt. The tastiest one, actually, was the kale and corn special. We sat outside- very pleasant. The restaurant appeared clean, well decorated and there was parking close by. I’d return for another round of tacos.
Our party of 5 had a delightful time. Our waitress was fantastic: knowledgeable, efficient, and welcoming. We had a variety of dishes and drinks, and everyone was pleased with their orders. The dishes were attractive and delicious. Taco Tuesday is a good value and a fun experience. We look forward to going to Paladar again. Two of the five had been there multiple times.
Our service was not good.. our server never came to check up on us.. I would have loved to get another drink but she never came by to ask.. so sad... we won’t be back so bad that I have no pictures and I always take pictures...
It could be so much better. Service was mediocre. Food was good, cocktails were average. All of the surrounding restaurants were booked solid. This one had plenty of seating
Ran out of avocados at 7 so they could only fulfill one order of guac! What Latin restaurant runs out of avocados at 7PM? Food overpriced and kind of bland - rum glazed pork and chicken dish. Beans and rice are cheap. Coffee came out cold. Desserts were decent. Some in our party liked their meals more than others.
We love the food at Paladar. Our group ordered the aged 21 Days Churrasco, Rum glared Cuban pork, Tamarid Ribs, Argentinian mixed grill, shrimp tacos and guacamole. All our food was nicely plated and tasted amazing! We also enjoyed an amazing white sangria with our meal. We always have had great meal when we eat at Paladar in Annapolis. Highly recommended.
Ehhh, it was okay. If you don't like spicy food or well seasoned food, you should come here
We have been many times but the last 2 times we have been there the service has been terrible. We paid $90 + to have a terrible experience!
Overall great. Good food and Rum was spectacular.
Qwe have visited several times before. Sad to say the food and service was mediocre. The last few times we visited were much better- the key is to eat at the bar!!!
Horrible service and soggy food.
I miss the duck tacos. The fish tacos tasted muddy- not good. Don’t get the Brazilian cheese puffs - too dense not the real thing
The food at Paladar has always been good. I go there once a month. I recommend the fish tacos and Shrimp and grits. The noise level is high......due to the architecture.......the booths are better for conversation....especially for a date. Mojitos are authentic and great......good value.........
Good food for taco Tuesday & great service too!
The food and drinks were wonderful. Recommendations made by the waiter were exactly as promised.
Usually, we love paladar, but seemed to hit it on an off night. Everything (bothers meals and guac) just tasted bland.
Excellent service and food. Not to mention my Maryland rum flight was awesome!
Have been to this location several times in the past 6 months and the food has remained beautifully presented and delicious; however the service continues to go down. The wait staff is not present or interested in making a good dining experience. I took a friend there for her birthday and she was not impressed. Which is sad. We looked around at the other tables and they appeared to be equally dissatisfied with the service.
Pulled chicken was great. Guac with Chipotle Honey was even better!
Great knowledgeable wait staff. Delicious food and very child friendly
