Very nice, great service, goo food and a unique experience.
Paladar is a nice restaurant. It wasn't loud and not overly crowded on a Sunday for brunch. I really like the fact that they offered to seat me when I had a reservation for five and I was the first to arrive.
I made a reservation, waited almost an hr past my reservation. The drinks took over 30 minutes to get to the table. The manager gave me a free $8 app!!! When i complained!! Smh!!! I wouldn’t recommend this place to an enemy
Seated right st reservation time. Good drinks, good appetizers, good main course, and good desserts. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Great service and food. Attractive design and ambiance. Try the rum flights.
Had a great meal with great drinks and great service. Server was very helpful deciding what to eat. Will definitely go back!
Delicious food and drinks. Very attentive and helpful service. Highly recommend.
My husband and I were underwhelmed by the food, service, and ambience at Paladar, especially for the price during out Annapolis Restaurant week experience. The sangria was delicious though!
The food was delicious and the portions generous. They had great cocktails and the quacamole dip trio was delicious and authentic. I really liked that the quacamole dip has a variety of flavors to choose from.
Nice & professional service , awesome rhum selection & good tastefull food!!
We met friends of ours here- it was underwhelming and over priced. Not sure we will be back.
Service and food quality slipping recently. This occasion, arrived at door. Greeter on personal cell phone, ignored. Kale salad deficient. Another salad ordered with chicken, server forgot. Taco meat on another dish over cooked, dry. Server and Manager both concerned and took some action. That's nice; but stick by original observation.
Food great, service great in the restaurant and the bar area. Little bit dark to read the menu and little bit difficult to talk above background noise.
This restaurant came highly recommended from friends. The guacamole was fantastic, the drinks were good (and the rum selection outstanding), but the meal itself was just ok. I really expected to have a lot of flavor, given that it was latin inspired, but it just left something out and was somewhat bland. The wait staff was great, the environment was nice so if you are going for happy hour drinks and appetizers, I would definitely go. Good casual meal, still go. Best meal of your life...eh.
The ambiance and food is outstanding but my server was only order taker. He had no personality, provided no insights to the menu and did not cross sell anything like appetizers or dessert. He did not smile and was not friendly. His lack of personality took away from our positive experience. The waitress we had during our first visit was bubbly friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, suggested a rum flight and dessert which we ordered and thoroughly enjoyed. Saturday he didn't mention anything and we didn't think about it. We will definitely go back because our food and drinks were great. I just think the waiter could have done much better.
Very friendly and accommodating waitress; quick service. Food plentiful and very tasty. Would do this again.
Usually very, very good. However, they missed and subsequently made up for some shortcomings.
Have been here many times. Not a pleasant experience this time. Waiter was rushing us out the door the entire time we were there. He brought a dessert menu while my friends were still eating their entree. Was overall disappointing.
My husband and I went for a Friday "date night". We sat at the bar. The bartenders were very friendly and helpful. The happy hour specials were great. We ended up staying in the bar for dinner and shared the Argentinian Mixed Grill. We added shrimp on the recommendation from the bartender and really enjoyed our food. We will definitely go back!
The only thing good about this place was the food, but not worth the headache. The hostess was extremely disorganized and forgot about us after we told her our reservation and she said she was getting it ready for us. Her and the manager continued seating people without reservations that came in after us. After finally being sat at a still-being-bused table, despite the numerous empty tables, we had to request dinning wear after appetizers (yucca fries) came out. The manager comped our appetizers because of the issues, but based on other reviews, this is not the first time they've had serious issues with the front of the house.
Again, the only good thing was the food, specifically, the meat. Everyone at our table enjoyed the steak and slow smoked pulled chicken was good. The sides were a bit lacking in flavor, but seemed fresh. Sweet potato donuts were also good, even for someone who doesn't generally like sweet potato.
I would not recommend this place for anything other than carry-out.
Excellent meal, friendly waiter and support servers. The bread is delicious. We plan to put it on our short list of favorites.
I had a very good experience ordering appetizers during happy-hour my first time there. This time around my wife and I ordered main courses-Adobo Shrimp & Grits and the Jamaican half Chicken. My wife said the chicken was okay but the shrimp and grits was very underwhelming. Could have used more seasoning for taste. Overall, the cost doesn't match the taste and portions of food.
We went out for a double date night and had a lovely Tapas style dining experience. My husband was excited that they had his favorite dish, Ropa Vieja on the appetizer list. All of the apps were very tasty- ropa vieja, traditional guacamole, chicken skewers, the tuna mini tacos and the queso with sausage dip. We had churros for dessert (tip:double up on marshmallow dip!). Drinks were good too, though the red Sangria was not the best we’ve had. Paladar is one of our favorite restaurants and tapas style might be our new way to enjoy it with friends!
Prompt seating, great service and food. Will definitely return.
The servers were very attentive - drinks and food delivered promptly
EVERYTHING was delicious! All of the staff were friendly and helpful.
This was our second time at Paladar's and still wont be our last...the service was great and the server and manager went out of their way to help my wife and I celebrate our anniversary! Love it there and will be back again!
Always a good meal with friendly service. We never feel rushed and enjoy the food.
We enjoyed our selections . The portions are very generous. I ate everything and was really stuffed. I loved finding more vegetarian options on the menu than on the first time dining there. I look forward to trying more of the vegetarian recipes.
Everything was good
Paladar has some great choices on their menu. My husband is Latin and we love the old comfort foods he grew up with...as well as the monitor. A couple things would make this restaurant atmosphere better- Latin music in background..it seemed to go back n forth, not sure what they were playing. Also, dimmer lights in eve. It was packed And bright. Think it would be super cool if, on Eve's on weekends, after dinner service over, they create a dance floor and play Spanish music...it would be great for those of us too annoyed and tired to go to a loud night club, a sweet, romantic alternative. Over all the Ropa Vieja and plantains made it worth the trip..great Cuban coffee too!
Disappointed that this restaurant has slowly declined over the past few years. There used to be a manager that walked the floor greeting customers and asking how the dinner was going. My experience was getting poor service from two inexperienced wait staff who were sharing our table - forgetting silverware, water refills, slow drink service, having to flag them down when needed anything - no attention to detail.
The menu choices have become much less - used to be a few pages, now down to one side food the other drinks - so you’d expect that what they do make would be excellent, but unfortunately it’s not the case. We had a party of four at our table and none of us were excited about our entrees - luke warm salmon, pink pork that was too sweet - even the person with leftovers decided not to take them home.
This used to be a unique restaurant but will be lucky to survive amongst all the competition unless they make some drastic changes in their customer service and food quality.
Consistently very good. Have recommended to friends.
Great brunch with friends. Excellent tequila Bloody Mary, ceviche, tuna Poke tiny tacos, and the guacamole was awesome!
Food was great but our server was very slow at getting to our table to take our order and to give us the check. Had to wave the server down multiple times. (It wasn’t packed at the time either). Overall was a good experience though.
We had a mix-up due to the Open Table app. I thought I booked a reservation at the King of Prussia, PA location, which was 5 minutes away, but didn't realize that it brought up the Annapolis location for the reservation. . .about 2 hours away! When we got to the restaurant in King of Prussia, they knew nothing of the res and my phone died just at that time, so I couldn't pull up my confirmation email from Open Table. Fortunately they were very nice about it and charged my phone for me. When my friend showed the confirmation email, we saw what happened with the booking in the wrong place. The place was packed and no tables were available, but we lucked out and got 2 seats together at the bar, which is first come first serve and no reservation needed. The food was good as always. Excellent Guacamole to share, Duck Tacos and Shrimp and Grits. All were delicious! Just be careful when using Open Table's app to make sure the correct location comes up.
Perhaps we should not have tried out the restaurant on NYE? Our reservation for 7:30 was well handled and we were seated right away. We started with chicken empanadas which were quite good. The side salad was pleasant. My husband ordered Jerk Chicken, and I ordered the marinated Salmon dish, from the grill menu, which had a star indicating it was very popular. But then my husband's chicken was dry, and overcooked. My salmon was ordered "medium" but was quite overcooked, and therefore lacking in flavor. The accompanying crunchy carbohydrate was very good. The vegetable was yucca which looked like sweet potato, but not sweet.
Service was attentive for most of the evening, except for a break in service for about 10 minutes. We needed to get a take home box. I was watching out and then I noticed about 5 or 6 servers, including ours, emerging from the kitchen area at once. She apologized for the delay. I thought it was curious that they would have held a servers meeting on a busy night. The atmosphere in the restaurant is dark, with a high ceiling, nicely appointed, and the tables are not to crowded together. It was quiet enough to converse easily. A nice date restaurant, with a soothing atmosphere, but the chef needs to keep an eye on the meat thermometer.
Always good, Paladar didn't disappoint. The food is good as are the drinks. We go regularly. It is one of our favorite restaurants.
Family trip for the weekend.
