Frateli Pagliuca's Restaurant is like a little corner of sunny Italy located in Boston's north end. It has been an oasis of old-country Italian food for decades, and is family owned and operated. The Pagliucia family originated in Motefalcione Avellino, and when they moved to the United States, they brought time-honored recipes with them. When you visit Frateli Pagliuca's Restarurant, you will enjoy entrées like chicken campagna, which is a boneless chicken breast sautéed with mushrooms, peppers, onions and potatoes. You can also choose from steaks, chops, seafood and of course pasta.
If you would like to enjoy a drink before dinner, visit the cocktail bar. Wine, beer and cordials are also available with your meal. Frateli Pagliuca's restaurant is warm, welcoming and offers great food.

The tiramisu required that each bite be savored slowly. The flavors and texture gently rolled over the tongue like strands of caramel and chocolate flavored air. But with enough substance to hold one on the ground while the flavors lifted one to the heavens.
We wanted to sit outside and away from other patrons, which they accommodated us. The food was very good. We were glad we ate here and we will come back.
Excellent food and service. Family owned and operated.
Really love this place.....only one issue and it was the heat.... Hot, humid weather combined with a less than adequate air conditioning system resulted in a less than comfortable meal....having said that the food continues to be outstanding. Also the hostess was charming and helpful....
It was good but nothing great. We got the chicken Marsala and veal parmesan. It was kind of bland. With so many places in Little Italy we probably don’t be back.
We made a reservation for 7:15, and upon arriving, they said they hadn’t seen it, but would fit the two of us in quickly. After ~35
min, the hostess sat us inside after we requested to sit outside (which we were fine with, until the real issues began). The inside was VERY noisy with groups of people yelling to maintain conversation. The hostess told us if a table opened up outside she would move us there. After 10 minutes, she came back and told us to run out to sit at the 2-person table that was now available (which there were none except a 5-person table). We tried to sit there, assuming it was our table, until 2 waitresses rudely told us not to sit down (meanwhile, we have waters and menus in our hands from our first table). The owner then comes over and yells at us stating he “has a business to run,” and proceeds to sit his friend’s family of 5 who had just arrived, sans reservation. At this point, we were upset. We had given up our table inside for nothing outside! I then asked the owner if he could seat us soon, and he brushed us off. I then asked for something free as a consolation, seeing as we had already had several issues including our reservation time not being honored. He then just walked away from me without saying anything. 25 min pass, still hadn’t been seated (menus and water still in hand). The hostess had continued to try to catch up on seating reservations, meanwhile the owner seated another table of his friends. Several people who had arrived after us with later reservation times got seated before we were seating again (for the second time keep in mind). Finally at 8:45, we were seated. The owner, when pressed again about making these issues right by giving something free or offering something became very combative and said no to requests for wine because he “can’t give out freebies and has to run a business,” and offered cheap, low quality limoncello instead. In the end the food was mediocre and poorly seasoned, service was horrid.
Honestly was an awful experience. The staff are extremely rude. Didn’t even ask us for our name when we said we had a reservation: hostess said “Yeah I know I’ll get to you”. There was absolutely no organization to their process and we waited 45 minutes to be seated and ended up leaving to go to another restaurant. Owner also sat his friends down without them even waiting while there were a bunch of parties waiting to be seated for 30+ minutes. You might as well not even make a reservation because they just do not care
Terrible service. No apparent management on the floor. Mold in parmesan cheese. Ran out of glasses so they brought plastic cups.
Just to be clear, I used to frequent this restaurant several years back. Hadn’t been in a while, and figured I’d go back again for nostalgic reasons. Frankly my lady and I used to love the food. Tonight was completely different.
It was arguably one of the worst dining experiences we’ve had. Service was rushed and anxious, food was massively subpar, and the ambiance felt disconnected and out of sync with the rest of the space. The music they chose to play was essentially top 40 dance music, and it was the total wrong vibe.
What happened to the Sinatra, Darin, Sammy D, Tony Bennet, etc…?!? They went from love machine to Laura Branigan to some opera tune to an up-tempo dance tune I had never heard of. I could feel myself becoming more and more tense, and was getting indigestion as I sat trying to eat. I kept having to remind my date to slow down and not rush. I could see that she was becoming visibly anxious.
The food: The clam sauce was undercooked and the escarole was a salt bomb, the meatballs were overcooked, and the eggplant was soggy. We would’ve happily said something to our server, but once the food was dropped, she never once came back to check in and ask if everything was OK. You would have thought that given the fact that our plates were completely full when they came to bus the table that it would have been an indication that things weren’t great. Sadly, this was not the case. They were in a one track mind set, and never looked up to notice.
Honestly, the best part was the bread which comes from Salumeria up the street. Everything about this place is off now. I really hope they can get back on track.
Great service snd good!
Had the stuff pepper and ziti.
Awesome. Place was packed inside and out which is great for the restaurant and workers. Need to appreciate the servers as with all business they are short handed but get through it with a smile!!
Probably one of the worst dining experiences I have experienced. The service was awful. The only redeeming quality was the food was decent - when you finally get it. If you have hours to wait after being seated and you enjoy being ignored, this is the place for you. Save yourself the aggravation.
Great food!!! Joe the owner was very accommodating
Went before Bruins game an extraordinarily slow compared to other game nights. Probably just getting back into the swing if things and will definitely come back
Great food, service and atmosphere. Definitely will be back.
It was great! Phenomenal food! We arrived early for our reservation and still were able to be seated despite how busy it was!
Always our first stop when we come to Boston! The food is wonderful. The staff is great! Always helpful with suggestions. Looking forward to our next visit.
Excellent meal and service
The food was delicious. Our waitress was MIA. I’ve been there three other times before and have not had such bad service. She did not come to the table after we ordered until I got up to find her. We did ask another person if they could find her first, nothing. By the time she got to our table three out of the four of us we’re just about finished. We ordered second drinks. They got to our table after the three of us were done. We were all disappointed by the service.
Excellent restaurant the food, owner, and servers were all great an attentive.
Great food and service!! Upbeat mood, friendly staff and fun vibe!
Food is excellent
Stuffed pepper 🫑
Eggplant is awesome
A must place for dinner
Loved it ! Will definitely go again! Food was amazing!
Had linguini and clams
Outside dining area is nice with lights and umbrellas
Come down and see Joe the owner
This is my favorite Italian restaurant/ we come from Watertown just to eat there! Fabulous food & reasonable prices!
I recommend the chicken parm as it is great tasting and you get more than you can eat.
Theresa was our server and she was outstanding. The owner stopped by to make sure we were satisfied. They have the outside dining set up for when the weather is nice. Try this place you will like it.
An exceptional restaurant hitting all the right points for an incredible experience
Family owned restaurant with charm. Like most restaurants during the pandemic service may seem slow but so well worth being patient. Stuffed pepper is excellent but my favorite meal is the chicken parmigiana. Come in and try and see why we go here at least once per week for 25 years
This place is consistently excellent.
Shocked to arrive and find we had the place to ourselves! Usually sooooo busy! Crazy CoVid times☹️we’ll be back!
As your 'go to' place in the North End - we can always be sure to have delicious food with great service and as a bonus get to see all our friends there!
The service was poor and the tables were far too close together in covid times
Our reservation was at 715 and we were seated right upon arrival. The place was fairly crowded, but we never waited to long for service. Food was amazing, definitely would return.
Amazing! Thank you for much for a wonderful Valentine’s Day. The food was amazing.
Wonderful experience. It was a holiday so the noise level was high but otherwise I highly recommend it.
Went here for Valentine’s weekend for our first outing as a COVID married couple. Thought by making reservations in advance and knowing the guidance for restaurants with precautions we would be okay. I was wrong. The restaurant is not abiding by COVID guidelines. It was packed. There were maybe 6” between different parties, no partitions between tables. One waitress walked passed us and said to another how badly she wanted to bathe in hand sanitizer. It was only 6:30 on Saturday. It took 45 minutes to get a drink. They didn’t have any vodka according to our waitress for a dirty martini. The food was flavorless. My gnocchi was cold, husband’s lobster ravioli was small portions. We couldn’t have gotten a second drink if we tried- our waitress never came back. I had to try to flag her down to get the check. I won’t go back, I’ll support a restaurant with better service who beds by health and safety guidelines
Not sure if it's always that noisy because all I could hear was one table speaking really loudly and it was rather obnoxious. But the service and food we fantastic.
Amazing service. Portions were huge and delicious! Owner’s daughter was a very sweet greeter and server.
It was an amazing place to go for a anniversary. The food was amazing and the ambiance of the restaurant was perfect for a celebration. The staff are amazing and kind.
Always a pleasure to go there!
