We originally had reservations for an early dinner. Glad we didn't. I ordered a wedge salad, consisting of head lettuce, most of which was too hard to cut through. Also most of it was pale green (the part I usually don't serve and toss in the trash). My sanddabs, which I love, were over-breaded and more capers than I would have liked. My husband had a small portion of salmon which he said was "ok". I thought lunch served with hot tea was expensive and overhyped probably because it's in the El Paeso. As a seafood restaurant there should be more seafood offerings, even at lunch. It is also too expensive for lunch. We got sucked into The Paseo. Other better places to enjoy.
for people with more money than brains who do not understand the difference between upscale and obnoxious. We actually walked out while waiting to be seated. The woman who pushed me out of her way without saying excuse me did not help either.
everytime is as good as the last...wse will be back, and back, and back.....
We've always enjoyed Pacifica. It was really busy so the waiters were rushing around. They did stay on top of our table and service, which I was impressed with considering how many tables they were serving. We were seated inside and it was so noisy I could only talk to my friends sitting right next to me at a table of six. All our friends were happy with the meal. The food is always reliable. Our waitress was very nice. I really prefer the outside seating just because of the noise level.
What a great way to end an excellent day.
As has been our experience over the many visits to Pacifica, the food and service is consistently excellent. Hubby had the special nut-crusted halibut which was meaty and well seasoned. My seafood stew was once again a feast that really could feed two. Shellfish done perfectly and salmon chunks plentiful. Pacifica is always on our list whenever we’re in the desert.
Food was delicious, and our server was wonderful!
Our server Stephen was very busy but attentive and efficient.
Hope to return on our next visit.
Frequent customer at Pacifica & have always enjoyed the food. Brought out of town guests on Saturday. Ordered the Chilean Sea Bass, which I have ordered before, & this time the sea bass was extremely “fishy”. Should have sent it back but didn’t... my “bad”. Pacifica needs to insure that their fish is fresh.
A special time as always . Visit to Palm Desert would not be complete without dinner at Pacifica.
Now as in the past, simply the best seafood restaurant in the Valley. Very busy on the Saturday night we went, but my opinion is obviously held by many.
This was a birthday dinner. We were seated early and everyone treated very well. Our waitress was wonderful and was a great help with the menu.
The restaurant was packed, It was amazing that the food was served hot and excellent. They did a terrific job.
Pacifica Seafood Restaurant is a favorite whenever we travel to Palm Desert. The Lake Superior Whitefish is superb with the sauteed spinach. I had tiramisu for desert and it was the best I have ever had. The service was impeccable and staff was attentive and friendly.
Lovely. They gave us a wonderful complimentary dessert for our anniversary.
Terrible. Waited 30 minutes for a table - no explanation, no apology. We were still willing to try it but got seated T a table that had tent flaps hitting us while we were seated.
We were not the only people struggling with this place. They overbooked and were completely unapologetic.
Place had bad karma - plenty of other great places to eat in palm Desert. I would avoid and head to less trendy and respectful establishments.
Great food and attentive staff. Windy on balcony that day but that’s Mother Nature. Scallops outstanding and Shrimp with black ink pasta excellent too.
very nice dinner. Service was excellent. We were able to sit outside on a cool Palm Desert night, but heaters and blankets were supplied.
Delicious food, great service. Well run restaurant
It was extremely windy that evening and we were on the patio, but no one offered to move us inside as they were packed. It is so loud in that restaurant, perhaps a low mood music would make the folks not talk so loud. Everyone is talking over every one else. Our waitress was so distracted by trying to relocate everyone that we were ignored. It took over 1/2 hour to get our coffees. She finally did comp the coffees but honestly some of our meal should have been comped as we were entertaining company that had never been there before and don't think they will return. We had a reservation and did not request the patio, so next time for sure I will say not on the patio if we were to return. We do like he fact that the meals can be ordered as a whole or 1/2 selection.
We have enjoyed many meals at Pacifica, this time was one of the worst meals we have had in Palm Desert, The rib eye was tough and no flavor, what ever they served with the steak was uneatable. Sea base smelled old and tasted bad. Very sad birthday dinner. will not be back. Stan Jackson
Good experience , food wasn’t as creative or flavourful as I would have expected. Good place for lunch on the patio.
Very good dinner on Valentines Day! They had a price fixe menu with attractive apps and entrees and all were prepared and presented very nicely and tasted very good. We’ll be back when on Palm Desert again!
Our only visit was a fixed price menu on Valentines Day. Priced high for the meal. Service was good.
Fantastic Valentine's dinner at our favorite restaurant in Palm Desert. We were amazed at the
tranquil atmosphere on such a crazy night for restaurants. Our server was delightful and we were never rushed through our meal. We thoroughly enjoyed the Special menu for the night, which was 4 courses! I must say everything was prepared perfectly, presented beautifully, and
was simply beyond delicious!
Ask for Nicole, she is the best and she will take great care of you. The food is outstanding, please try the seafood platter. The staff as a whole will go above and beyond the call of duty. Give it a try or you are missing out.
Made reservation month prior to experience their menu on
Valentines Day. When we arrived we were surprised to see
only one dinner option. Part of my party couldn’t eat the
daily selection and we were forced to leave. I believe someone could have advised me when I made the reservation that the entire menu was not available.
Valentine’s Day dinner. We were placed in a room that was a glorified tent. Had space heaters to try to keep it warm. Heaters must have been adjusted 6 or 7 times trying to warm it up or cool it down. Wind blew under the tent walls creating a chill forcing the ladies the ladies to cover their legs with sweaters and coats in an attempt to keep warm.
They were understaffed...at least in the tent. Our server was very friendly...we liked her but there were long periods where we did not see her.
We finally could not take the temperature variations and wind under the tent wall any more. We asked to be moved into the restaurant. The manager accommodated us immediately.
Wine list is very young. There was nothing...nothing with any age. Ordered a 2015 Merlot. A 2016 was delivered. I pointed it out to the server. She said the Sommelier would come see me. No one did. We were charged the price listed for the 2015...agh!
Don’t think we will return. There are too many oversights and missteps to be considered a quality restaurant.
It was Valentine’s day and was not told ahead there was a fixed menu even though I spoke to them on the phone too. It was a cold night and they sat us in the tent. The heaters only took care of your shoulders, so it was cold. The fixed menu had nothing on there we could eat, and was $79!
The restaurant had a limited menu for Valentine’s Day, which wasn’t expected. We were regular customers however probably will not visit there again.
We made a reservation on-line for Valentine's Day dinner. It was our first time to have dinner at Pacifica Seafood. We enjoyed the evening very much but we were surprised to learn when we arrived that they had a special Valentine's menu rather than their normal menu. Wish we had know that before we made our reservation. It made the dinner a bit more expensive than we had planned. However, we did enjoy the evening and the food and service were both excellent.
One of our favorite places to eat when in the desert! Love the ambience and food is interesting and varied and we always meet people we end up liking
Everything was very good. Table was ready for the reserved time. Service was prompt and very attentive. Food was the usual excellent standard.
The food was delicious and we were delighted to have the option of half portions. Cocktails were excellent and our server was fabulous.
Food is great. Half orders are nice. Cody is great bartender. Great prices for drinks.
My friend and I had a very nice experience. My friend was 1/2 hour late and our server was so kind and she kept checking on me to make sure I was not ignored. I wish I remembered her name. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was excellent, love the renovations and glad that you have a patio for Happy Hour looking out to the mountains. We will be there tomorrow evening.
Our waitress Gina and the manager JACKIE went above and beyond for our birthday lunch. Heads off to the staff for making it a great event. We
We love Pacifica and always eat here when we are in town. We enjoyed a delicious meal for my Bday, and Ervin was a fantastic waiter who met our needs, gave us good information about the fish I ordered, and surprised me with a scrumptious dessert.
My husband and I love this restaurant. We come to Palm Desert every February and eat at Pacifica several times while we are here.
The setting on the second floor was a surprise. We got to watch the sunset through the wonderful view of the mountains in the distance. First wonderful warm colors and then we watched as the mountains went to sleep.
The service was wonderful and the food delicious.
