This was our second try here after a poor first experience. The staff reached out after my first review. They addresses every issue and made things right. This experience was completely different. The food was good, the service was excellent and we left feeling like this was a solid choice for our future guests when staying in the desert. Well done Pacifica. Clé du Soleil will add you to our recommended restaurants especially for larger groups.
Fine, upscale seafood dining. They were out of our wine selection, and the waiter suggested a very nice alternative at a lower price. We dine here every time we're in Palm Desert.
One of the BEST restaurant in the desert
Have eaten here several times, never dissapoints. Salmon was out of this world. will go back every time we vacation in Palm Desert.
Had out of town guests for dinner and we all had the Sole special and it was delicious ! The Clam Chowder is the best in the desert!
Melania salad was great with salmon or the chicken. Ladies lunch so we all enjoyed that.
Pacifica always consistent. A favorite!
Would recommend with reservations. Restaurant has become too popular which leads to crowds and service not up to par. One entree was not appealing and the calamari was undercooked.
We had a great dinner. We didn’t like our first table as it was close to the door and the waiter was very very nice and immediately moved us!
We love the half plate meals and love Pacifica. We have never had a bad meal or experience here!!
Nice place. Very busy even on a Tuesday night. Wine bottles half price might have something to do with it. Overall a nice experience.
Best swordfish I’ve ever had! Half price wine night was a plus. Highly recommend Pacifica Seafood!
Always love Pacifica. I was disappointed to see the Sunset Dinner Time changed.
I am beginning to think that when we make reservations through Open Table, we get the worst seat in the restaurant and when we ask to sit somewhere other than that it is like a huge thing. At Pacifica Seafood, we were asked if we wanted out or in and we all decided it might be quieter outside. There was only ONE table outside for 6 and it was plain cold next to the outside of the deck area. We were told it would be probably ok when the heater was turned on and then NO one came to turn it on. When we finally got the heater on, it was way too hot for the person sitting under it and the others were too cold because the breeze over powered the heater on the other side. We asked if we could go inside and were treated like "it is busy and not sure if we can do that" Ten minutes earlier, we were given a choice!! We finally went in and were put at the table furthest away from everything and we were the only ones sitting up in the back for most of our meal. The food was nothing like the sister restaurant - Cliff House) We were only give a choice of soup or salad and the salad was so, so. The entre was not that great either and the seafood kabob wasn't done. Didn't dare send it back. We will stick with the Cliff House. The other restaurant we got a bad table at was Morton's Steak House - again made the reservation with Open Table. There were only 6 tables full and we were put right smack in the middle
My return visit was excellent! The food, service and ambiance were delightful. Thank-you for making it right.
Did ot. rk e off that i Te there w open tablr
Sat in the patio where there was plenty of heaters. Warm and quieter than inside the restaurant. Excellent service and food.
Delicious food, amazing patio, and attentive service all make for a great experience at Pacifica. I go back every time I'm in the Palm Springs area. Try their baked scallops. I crave them!
Another wonderful evening. My sugar spiced salmon was perfect and the hubs devoured his swordfish. Our friends enjoyed their meals of veggie pasta and...shoot....I don’t remember but there weren’t any leftovers to take home so it was good! Our server Matt was friendly and the exact right amount of attentive while also letting us chat. Pacifica is always a win.
We originally had reservations for an early dinner. Glad we didn't. I ordered a wedge salad, consisting of head lettuce, most of which was too hard to cut through. Also most of it was pale green (the part I usually don't serve and toss in the trash). My sanddabs, which I love, were over-breaded and more capers than I would have liked. My husband had a small portion of salmon which he said was "ok". I thought lunch served with hot tea was expensive and overhyped probably because it's in the El Paeso. As a seafood restaurant there should be more seafood offerings, even at lunch. It is also too expensive for lunch. We got sucked into The Paseo. Other better places to enjoy.
for people with more money than brains who do not understand the difference between upscale and obnoxious. We actually walked out while waiting to be seated. The woman who pushed me out of her way without saying excuse me did not help either.
everytime is as good as the last...wse will be back, and back, and back.....
We've always enjoyed Pacifica. It was really busy so the waiters were rushing around. They did stay on top of our table and service, which I was impressed with considering how many tables they were serving. We were seated inside and it was so noisy I could only talk to my friends sitting right next to me at a table of six. All our friends were happy with the meal. The food is always reliable. Our waitress was very nice. I really prefer the outside seating just because of the noise level.
What a great way to end an excellent day.
As has been our experience over the many visits to Pacifica, the food and service is consistently excellent. Hubby had the special nut-crusted halibut which was meaty and well seasoned. My seafood stew was once again a feast that really could feed two. Shellfish done perfectly and salmon chunks plentiful. Pacifica is always on our list whenever we’re in the desert.
Food was delicious, and our server was wonderful!
Our server Stephen was very busy but attentive and efficient.
Hope to return on our next visit.
Frequent customer at Pacifica & have always enjoyed the food. Brought out of town guests on Saturday. Ordered the Chilean Sea Bass, which I have ordered before, & this time the sea bass was extremely “fishy”. Should have sent it back but didn’t... my “bad”. Pacifica needs to insure that their fish is fresh.
A special time as always . Visit to Palm Desert would not be complete without dinner at Pacifica.
Now as in the past, simply the best seafood restaurant in the Valley. Very busy on the Saturday night we went, but my opinion is obviously held by many.
This was a birthday dinner. We were seated early and everyone treated very well. Our waitress was wonderful and was a great help with the menu.
The restaurant was packed, It was amazing that the food was served hot and excellent. They did a terrific job.
Pacifica Seafood Restaurant is a favorite whenever we travel to Palm Desert. The Lake Superior Whitefish is superb with the sauteed spinach. I had tiramisu for desert and it was the best I have ever had. The service was impeccable and staff was attentive and friendly.
Lovely. They gave us a wonderful complimentary dessert for our anniversary.
Terrible. Waited 30 minutes for a table - no explanation, no apology. We were still willing to try it but got seated T a table that had tent flaps hitting us while we were seated.
We were not the only people struggling with this place. They overbooked and were completely unapologetic.
Place had bad karma - plenty of other great places to eat in palm Desert. I would avoid and head to less trendy and respectful establishments.
Great food and attentive staff. Windy on balcony that day but that’s Mother Nature. Scallops outstanding and Shrimp with black ink pasta excellent too.
very nice dinner. Service was excellent. We were able to sit outside on a cool Palm Desert night, but heaters and blankets were supplied.
Delicious food, great service. Well run restaurant
It was extremely windy that evening and we were on the patio, but no one offered to move us inside as they were packed. It is so loud in that restaurant, perhaps a low mood music would make the folks not talk so loud. Everyone is talking over every one else. Our waitress was so distracted by trying to relocate everyone that we were ignored. It took over 1/2 hour to get our coffees. She finally did comp the coffees but honestly some of our meal should have been comped as we were entertaining company that had never been there before and don't think they will return. We had a reservation and did not request the patio, so next time for sure I will say not on the patio if we were to return. We do like he fact that the meals can be ordered as a whole or 1/2 selection.
We have enjoyed many meals at Pacifica, this time was one of the worst meals we have had in Palm Desert, The rib eye was tough and no flavor, what ever they served with the steak was uneatable. Sea base smelled old and tasted bad. Very sad birthday dinner. will not be back. Stan Jackson
Good experience , food wasn’t as creative or flavourful as I would have expected. Good place for lunch on the patio.
Very good dinner on Valentines Day! They had a price fixe menu with attractive apps and entrees and all were prepared and presented very nicely and tasted very good. We’ll be back when on Palm Desert again!
