We ordered the calamari to start and it was a bit Wife ordered the combo fish and chips. The coconut ship and fries was too salty, crab cake was perfect, the fish was a bit bland. I ordered the combo meal and it was done very well with the sea bass but I thought I ordered with the Asian flavor with garlic. I didn't taste any Asian flavor nor the garlic. Not too happy with overall meal
I was running about 20 minutes late. Called to let them know. They saved my table and my guest and I were seated just after arrival. The food was very tasty. the ambiance is somewhat utilitarian. however the service was good.
We had not been here for awhile and decided to go on Valentine's Day. Our reservation was early 4:45 but that was fine. We had the shrimp ceviche app, lobster roll and fish and chips (and a couple Martinis). All were excellent as well as our server who was very attentive, but not overly so.
Interesting menu, with a nice mixture of traditional and modern flavors. They serve inventive dishes that are well thought out and pleasing.
First we waited 20minutes though we had reservations. The lady at the host table seemed stressed and annoyed which annoyed me very much. Then we were seated at a table in the patio area (although I had requested standard seating), and it was super cold. Not a good experience but the food was delicious as usual.
I ordered a Crab Louie Salad and the dressing was very spicy, who does that. The crab tasted like can crab with fake crab and came as a Cobb salad, definitely not worth the cost.
We love coming here for the food and variety of fish options available, but without fail every time it seems as though our server doesn’t care about us. Last time service was just okay and then he forgot to give us our check back for the about 20 minutes which made us miss stopping at Trader Joe’s. This time we waited forever for somebody to great us after we were sat, then drinks took forever. We commented to the server that they seemed busy, trying to understand why we had been left for so long and she said normally they are a lot busier. I can only imagine how many neglected tables there would be on such a night. We will go back because of the food... but I guess just expect a super slow evening. Don’t go if you are starving!!
Even though I made reservations for 6:15 we still had to wait a half a hour for out table. We ended up sitting and eating at the bar. I wanted to talk to the mgr. about it but just decided to let it go. The whole reason why I use open table is to not have to wait. I was disappointed!!
Happy hour menu is a good selection of sushi rolls & pike plus coconut shrimp, Korean ribs & calamari options. All are yummy. They also serve regular portion size during happy hour which makes it a great value. We ate on the patio. As it got more crowded (after HH) it became very noisy. We will be back for HH for sure.
As alway, food and service was great. Our server, Kelly, was responsive, attentive and warm. Great place
Our server Joseph was exceptional. He really made the evening.
Parking at restaurant was horrible. Took 10 minutes to get a space and that was at the other end of the lot after circling.
Server got our order wrong starting with the drinks and every entree had something missing or wrong. Didn’t bring lemons and was asked 3 times. By the time the last entree arrived which was wrong we gave up asking for it to be corrected. For all this, server was slow and never checked back.
Would not recommend and will not return.
I felt rushed throughout the meal. I was not given enough time to finish my wine before the meal arrived. If I had wanted a second glass of wine, there was absolutely no suggestion from the waitress. It was not a good experience.
And I don't like brussels sprouts. They taste awful.
Pacific Catch used to be our favorite restaurant - not any more.
We enjoyed the fire place and everything was fabulous!
Will return for sure.....
Late lunch so restaurant was a little more quiet than at really busy times. Service was well informed and responsive. Food was excellent.
Tasty, healthy selections! Consistent quality at very reasonable prices. Always busy, but properly staffed to insure prompt service. A family favorite!
We had the swordfish and the yellow tail from the Fresh Catch Entrees was very good and cooked perfectly. We also had the salmon chowder, which was also very good, but I would have preferred it a little thicker.
Great place to take the family. Something for everyone
Excellent food and service, this is my go to spot!
An enjoy evening! The food was delicious. We were little disappointed that they don’t serve bread.
Food was delicious and service great, but sooooo noisy and crowded...great for the restaurant to be busy, but too too noisy
Been to Pacific Catch in San Mateo, Dublin, San Francisco and the one in Campbell is the most active and nosiest. Not a place where you can have a relaxed comfortable meal. Difficult to have a conversation and the noise eventually wears you down. We ordered an Ahi bowl with quinoa/brown rice base. The base had some very hard pieces of rice that made it difficult to chew. Ahi was fresh and good though. Also ordered the 3 taco plate with 3 different fillings which was very good.
It was a great location 1/2 way for each of us to meet up. The appetizers were quickly served, calamari and shrimp cocktail. They were almost too beautiful to eat, but we did I anyway. They were keto friendly and everyone was happy
Outstanding in every way! Every person in our 6 person party was delighted with their meal.
Additionally, a person in our party has a severe shellfish allergy, and told the server. He took extra care to make sure that her order was not prepared near/with/sharing/included any shellfish items. No problems. Appreciated their extra care.
Food was pretty darn good except for the kimchi fried rice which was just ok, being a bit under seasoned and the egg on top was over cooked. Fish was great. However was just a weeknight dinner, 2 adults and an 11 year old, no alcohol, no appetizers, and bill was nearly 100 with tip.
Everything was spot on: our server was prompt, courteous, friendly and helpful. The food was excellent, the fish fresh. There is something for everyone on their menu. All in all a very pleasant experience.
Great environment and friendly staff
Loud and lively during dinner time
Service was a little slow, but waitress was nice
Food was great
Been a patron from the start
Need a new location to help with the crowds??
MOs recently vacated restaurant on Almaden Expwy and macabee is perfect. Large venue indoor and outdoor seating. Your restaurant would be great for Almaden and San Jose
The food was good at Pacific Catch and the place was very busy on a Sunday night, so make reservations. Service was great, and the poke bowls were good, too. I had the seafood sampler and it was good, except the crab cake was ice cold in the center! They promptly cooked me a new one, which was then much better. I like the variety of fish items they have and will be back again, hopefully, soon.
Our waiter was not at all attentive! He was honestly horrible! He never came to the table to see how our food tasted. We had to ask twice for our cocktails. They weren’t delivered until after we got our meals. He dropped off the bill at the table, and never asked if we wanted any coffee or dessert! We felt like he was trying to rush us out of the restaurant so that he could go home for the night. He definitely needs to be retrained. He needs to display some manners and interact with the public in a professional fashion.
Camy, our waitress was great
She took care of our special need
Friday night and the place was packed. A little noises for my liking
But all in all very good.
Great cocktails, great food and big portions. A bit noisy but overall great.
We did not get seated at our reservation time and service was slower than ideal.
Great food and Kelly was wonderful
Love this place. Delicious food for a reasonable price.
Great experience for my wife’s birthday.
The service and food were great. It was a little cold being at the first table near the door. The only down side was the coconut macadamia nut brownie sundae. The brownie was overly endowed with coconut flavor which simply overpowered everything else. There were no service issues this time, but on previous visits their process of not writing down the order proved to be a problem.
Waited over 30 minutes even after having a reservation, people that walked in after us got seated before us. Then after being seated was forgotten by our waitress for an additional 15 before even given our waters.
