Delicious and beautifully presented food! Conscientious and friendly staff!
One of the best Japanese restaurants we've been to
Restaurant is doing a great job managing the Covid regulations. They have outfitted their exterior to accommodate guests and have done a good job at it. I really enjoyed the food and drinks, they truly were outstanding and delicious. However, the service from our server was not what I expected considering the reviews about the restaurant. Very little effort was put into recommending items from the menu after multiple mentions we were not from the area and had never been to the restaurant. I strongly believe the food, and ambiance are critical parts of the dining out experience but the service is what makes or breaks the experience.
Friendly and professional service
Delicious Food
Beautiful view
Wonderful ambience and evening!
It was great! Our server was super nice and helpful (:
Celebrated our 7th Wedding anniversary here and it was awesome with the lights of the Bay Bridge beaming on my wife’s beautiful smile, I knew I was in heaven
Good, this is my second time come.
We had a wonderful dinner at Ozumo. Service staff were very friendly. Outdoor dining was warm and everyone was practicing safe dining standards.
Food was amazing! And they had a great sake selection.
Thank you Kristan for giving us a table with a view!
We'll be back!
We visit San Francisco at least once a year and never fail to eat here. COVID has brought about some changes and the cozy and intimate dinner with the sushi chefs at the bar is not an option at the moment and the menu is somewhat restricted to only the most popular and awesome dishes. Had a great dinner there last night and tried a fantastic new recommended sake - Kokuryu sake. A trip to San Francisco has to include a visit to Ozumo. Another memorable meal. See you soon and hopefully, you will still have some of that limited Kokuryu.
Ozumo is consistently one of the best sushi restaurants in San Francisco. Their sashimi is always fresh and flavorful, and their rolls & nigiri are creative and delicious. The Bucho roll is a personal favorite. While we have not had a chance to eat at Ozumo as often as we would have liked during this crazy pandemic, I was glad to see that the food has remained outstanding.
If there is one (minor) criticism I would level at the restaurant, it is their front desk experience. The guy who checked us in was lackadaisical to the point of almost being asleep, and it took us over 10 minutes to get to our table despite the fact that we were the only party checking in at the time.
Other than this, the experience was amazing and I can't wait to go back.
Birthday. It was aaaaaoooowesome.
i thought its overpriced and overstated- the food taste ok, nothing impressive. Will not spend my money here again.
Fresh, interesting preparation and good selection. Great staff at the table and in the kitchen. Only criticism is that cooked fish and seafood were a little overdone.
Beautiful views of the bay bridge outside. Waiter was friendly and knowledgeable and service was great. Would come back again
Lovely lunch overlooking the water. Safely outdoors, friendly & attentive staff.
Ambiance was nice although we dined outside so it doesn’t matter too much. The food was only okay. Sushi felt a bit “flat”. SF Restaurants in general can’t match the taste and quality of restaurants in LA. Service was a bit slow but I think they had less staff with COVID - not a problem with me. Overall, I don’t feel like this restaurant was anything special it was just “okay”. Would I come back? Probably not.
Great food, great service. Enough said.
Delicious food
Service and atmosphere are good. However, pricing and food quality are bad. Over priced and ramen is really oily and very salty. Nothing special about food here and totally over priced.
Great place for a special occasion! Their outdoor dining on the embarcadero side has great views of the bridge and had excellent service during Covid.
The food was fantastic !!
Great quality and completely
Delicious !!
The price was a bit out of our range that we would usually pay for a sushi lunch , however , it was our 17th wedding anniversary and it was the first time we went out to eat publicly at a restaurant since the COVID 19 Pandemic - so it was very special and totally worth it.
Always the best toro & amberjack. Been coming here for over 10 years. Still one of my favs
Great food and drinks! Miso soup, fish, sushi were all very fresh and tasty! Lychee martini is soooo good!
Live music was great. Went for restaurant week. Drinks are pricey
From walking in the restaurant to paying. Really bad service, never again I will eat at Ozumo.
It was good. We were expecting more of an authentic Japanese but I would say Ozumo is more of a Japanese-American restaurant. Everything was good. Portions were substantial, and we felt safe eating inside since they have taken all the needed distancing measures. We would come back for more wagyu steak and the cocktails were good as well.
Nice restaurant but could be better for the prices they charge.
Nigiri are small and fish is not that good.
Quality of the food is high. Outside service, which is required now, is slow. It’s also colder on the west side of Embarcadero.
Amazing service and the food is outstanding! Beautiful view of the bay bridge! We will be back soon.
Great dining and service. Giddy Geisha is divine.
Our dinner was delicious and beautifully presented. We all commented on the freshness and beauty of our rolls and sushi. We enjoyed cocktails and sake (our server made some excellent recommendations). It was a wonderful night out and I can't wait to go again!
Great food and outdoor dining experience. The views of the bay bridge are stunning. Service is excellent.
Our server was amazing!
