Amazing food. Perfect for date night or any night!
food is good, just a little cold. wish there were more heaters
Service and location were awesome food was mediocre. Not the best but not the worst
I went to Ozumo for lunch on a sunny Saturday to celebrate my friends birthday. We’ve been craving sushi since it’s hard to get good sushi these days during the pandemic because its just not the same when you get it as take-out. With that said, I think Ozumo is probably the best outdoor sushi spot in the city. Their outdoor dining area is definitely one of the nicer ones in San Francisco, where you can also enjoy the view of the bay bridge.
All the food was pretty good. We ordered a lot of nigiri pieces a la carte and they were all pretty fresh. I like how they have a variety of premium fishes, including uni, toro, king salmon/salmon belly, ama ebi, A5 wagyu, etc.
As for the service, our server was really nice and even remembered to do something special for my friends birthday at the end of our meal. We had a matcha lava chocolate cake and it was sooooo good. Thank you Ozumo for making my friend feel special on her birthday.
Overall, I gave Ozumo 5 stars for everything but 4 stars for value. I would say the prices are on the higher end, but worth it for higher quality sushi. At least it’s still cheaper than some of the Michelin star Omakase sushi restaurants in the city.
AMAZING service! Daniel was superb! He was accommodating personable attentive and all around great server. The food was on point!
Ozumo never disappoints!
Excellent choice for an introduction to creative Japanese cuisine. Emphasis on outstanding appetizers and shared dishes.
Menu on line was different from the menu offered! Perhaps on line version was not updated.
Fantastic food, great sake recommendation
Great outside experience during covid
Too loud outside and service wasn’t where it used to be with Mel.
the food quality is bad compares the price they charged. the toro sashimi is frozen and not fresh. the food just doesnt worth the price. we asked for a hot tea and it never came. never come back
We had our b-day celebration here with the family. The service was exceptional and the quality of the food was top notch. I usually stick with nigiri but decided to try some of the cooked appetizers. The octopus side was the best I have had outside of restaurants in Spain.
Great omakase experience. The outdoor area had a beautiful view of the bridge, perfect for the Valentine's Day celebration we had. The outdoor seating was a bit cold (there were heaters but they weren't next to every table).
The prix fixe menu had sashimi + a large roll to start, and then a lobster & wagyu steak combo. Very good! We paired it with a delicious hot sake.
The waiting staff tries to push higher-priced sake bottles, and needed to be told several times to serve it hot - they kept insisting on a cold bottle even though it was cold and rainy outdoors.
Overall very tasty food and a romantic atmosphere made this place well worth the high price.
Worst host!!! She needs to get retrained. She blames the customer for miss booking when she changed our reservation time without any notice.
It was a wonderful experience at Ozumo all around! They were COVID safe and everyone was so friendly and greeted us when we came in to go to our table. The food was amazing! We chose to have the valentines special and it was great! The food was brought out with breaks in between which I appreciated! I can’t wait to go back!!!
The food was not the same as before. It was not delicious at all.
Freshest sushi ever! Wasabi was extremely smooth. I was seated outdoors and the view was bay bridge. I had the best time ever and I am definitely coming back. Their San Jose branch is closer to me and I frequently go there. But their SF branch is superior.
We had a really incredible experience at Ozumo for lunch on Valentine's Day. We've rarely done outdoor dining in the last year but this felt very safe, and the service was excellent. Our waiter made great recommendations for drinks with our meal, and the food was insanely good. They're clearly working with very fresh, top quality ingredients. It was a really special day for us and I hope I get to go back and eat inside when it's safe, since the restaurant interior is gorgeous, too.
Great place! Will definitely recommend it to my friends. My girlfriend and I had tasted delicious sushi and cocktails, our server also recommended to try his favorite fish - and it was amazing! Bay bridge view is also stunning. 10 out of 10! Thank you!
One of my favorite sushi restaurants in San Francisco. Perfect location near with a view of the Bay Bridge at night. Black cod, wagyu, hanabe, and all the sushi/sashimi dishes are excellent choices. All dishes pair well with sake or try sake tasting.
Food was delicious and the new outdoor patio set up made for a beautiful view of the SF bay and bay bridge.
Great Valentines Experience especially during this Pandemic they still pulled through and made it special. Food was amazing
Great staff amazing service!
Great time at Ozumo! Food was great & came out very fast.
Our last dining out experience was at Ozumo and our first dining out experience was at Ozumo following the restrictions. We love this restaurant!
The heat lamps didn’t work well.
Everything was so good
Wagyu A5 was so amazing
Ozumo has a wonderful location, with fine view of Bay Bridge on Embarcadero side. They've reopened for outdoor dining with two tented areas, Embarcadero and Steuart St. I especially like the blackened cod (Gindara), tender and tasty. And I enjoyed their Ume Maku cocktail with Knob Creek bourbon.
Delicious and beautifully presented food! Conscientious and friendly staff!
