Good wait staff - attentive, and great sushi. Delicious!
Not great. Felt pressured to order the most expensive items. Limited selection. Long wait to get drinks and food. Sushi not great.
Waiter was awesome!
Showed up on time 8.15 and 8.45 and counting no table was offered and time for avaib table kept shifting
Who runs this joint has no common sense , at least what they could done is offer of a free drink or such . Not thar I are really needed but should been some kinda courtesy offer .
Food was not bad and waitress did fine but front got lots of learning to do
Don’t think will go back on this place
The quality of the sashimi was excellent. We sat at the sushi bar as we only wanted nigiri /sashimi but orders were being taking by the wait staff which was different from other sushi restaurant. The sushi chef Max was accommodating and took our order as we placed them a couple at a time.
Wonderful restaurant, excellent service, great quality
Poor bar management. They kept running out of different beers. - 3 different beers. ! So strange.
We were sat 1/2 hour late for no apparent reason.
Average food for hefty price.
Obnoxious and loud patrons.
We had a lovely evening. Great food. The manager was so attentive and sweet to us and especially our youngest daughter. Complimentary dessert - fruit/chocolate fondue. Thank you.
One of my go-to favorite places when I am in the city! Drinks at the ferry plaza wine merchant is a perfect kickstart to a great dinner.
Probably the best Japanese restaurant in town. Really delicious
I searched for Japanese restaurant with a full bar and this came out. The food was creative and excellent. My husband is a foodie and he did the ordering. Certainly not your run of the mill Japanese food. Bonus: we had a great view of the Bay Bridge. The meal was almost $300, though with wine and cocktails. But it was a great dining experience.
The server brought me an $85 dollar bottle of sake instead of the $25 bottle. I didn’t realize it until we got the bill!
Have made this a go-to stop for when I visit San Francisco. Great selection of sushi in a modern environment. Love the breadth of their sake selection.
Materia prima, dopo tanti anni, rimane il loro cavallo di battaglia.
Lista di sake enorme (e costosa).
Teppanyaki ottima alternativa al sushi.
Poca immaginazione nei piatti.
As usual everything was delicious. It's my favorite location to lunch.
Everything was fantastic--my only complaint would be the value for what we got. My meal was $20 for a few rolls of sushi and I was still hungry after. Very expensive considering the same exact item is half the price anywhere else.
Remarkably expensive.
Good food but worth going only for a business meal. With such small portions and high prices for even small items, it becomes astronomically expensive just to have a full meal.
I love this place. Best Japanese restaurant in the financial district.
Delicious sushi, great cocktails, awesome ambience although it was quite loud! Ask for two drink and put your order in all at once, however, because they are VERY slow on service. Will sit at the bar next time since our second round was after dinner was done. They did offer a complimentary dessert as a recovery, however, which was an excellent touch by our server!
Start to finish a great experience. Staff was courteous and helpful. Food was impeccable and ambiance was calming. Always on my list when I am in town.
Great food, outstanding service very classy very expensive but worth the money
Favorite sushi in San Francisco. Great place.
I often dine at Ozumo, it’s one of my favorite Japanese restaurants in San Francisco. Food is great, good service, perhaps a bit expensive compared to other Japanese, but the ambience warrants the extra cost and places in that part of town are generally pricey. Overall a great food experience which I recommend
I liked Ozumo but I'm not sure if it was because of the food or the company I was with. We ordered only vegetarian food to share and it was all tasty, but small portions. I'm not sure about the value for money. I felt that fish and meat items cost more so I cannot judge the overall value well. The food wasn't overly salty which is often a problem in Japanese and other Asian restaurants, so that is a big plus. They have a wide range of sake, some wine and cocktails but we opted for green tea, which was lovely. I would like to come back to try the meat and seafood items, especially the maki rolls. Service was great, although we had to remind them about one missing item. It happens. The restaurant is huge (spans an entire block) and the ambiance is very nice, warm yet not overpowering decor. We'll be back.
I love everything about this restaurant. That’s why I keep coming back. The service the food and the atmosphere. Just looking at the lights on the bridge in enjoying my mail was everything that I needed at Ozumo. I love the seaweed salad. I love the rib appetizer. The Unagi is to die for. Sake. Cheesecake. A+
Too pricey, but incredibly tasty. The service was fine (other than having a too expensive bottle of sake suggested). All in all, a very enjoyable time.
The service was horrible and the vibe is great for happy hour but not for dinner.
Great Food. Sushi Chefs are wonderful! View from sushi bar was amazing.
Very expensive. I'm sure the food was great - but too expensive for a casual dinner.
Staff is wonderful. Lunch lunch specials are small. With a couple more pieces it would be better. Several people have also mentioned this.
Fabulous as always. Best sushi on the west coast!
Great & fresh sushi, good for both work and social dinners
It was wonderful.
Always have excellent experiences. Would benicr if you can have more choices of sushi rolls,
Service was poor. Delivered wrong items to the wrong tables and took a while to come back to check and correct the mistake
Nice restaurant, good services (a little slow at a time), good food, however, the portion is way too small. And, the presentation of the food is not same all the time for the same dish - I have been there a few times.
Overall, very nice restaurant for a special occasion.
We were last at Ozumo about four years ago and the food was first rate combined with outstanding service. Since we are not local, I don't know if management changed or we did but the experience was not the same. The lobster was dry, the waiter attempted to upsell us on a $200+ bottle of sake and the restaurant was only half full on NYE. All that combined to reduce the overall experience for us. Maybe we caught them on a bad night but there are so many places for a foodie to go to in SF, I can no longer recommend Ozumo whole-heartedly like I used to.
Best possible way to celebrate our 15 years anniversary and to close 2018!
Just mix & match both sides of the menu, one side starters, salads, Ozumo classics, tempura, etc. and other side sushi and sashimi.
Would love to come back.
The food was excellent as was the service. The price was extremely high even by San Francisco standards. We did enjoy the experience.
