The table next to my table was super loud and to much use of profanity language
Birthday surprise. Service was great, food was incredible.
It’s not open!!!
Best clam chowder ever eaten. Oysters Rockefeller fantastic
Great dollar oysters on Wednesdays.
Upscale bar with fabulous oysters! Friendly place for a drink and bites!
The food was delicious and our server was super attentive. I tried something out of my usual box and was pleasantly surprised.
Oysters are great. Would go back again and bring guests.
Always wonderful. We had the crab cake for the app and it was so fresh and delicious. I had a lobster roll for dinner and it just gets better with each bite
Great food! When we visit Tampa, we visit the Oyster Bar.
Amazing oysters. Great wine. Awesome service. Will for sure go back soon.
Our favorite brunch spot in the tampa bay area. perfect for a boozy brunch with friends and making a day of it
Our waiter was very personable. Love the atmosphere!
Food and atmosphere was excellent !!
Fantastic service, from checking in, to our bartender, and our great waitress. Most food was enjoyed....2 of us felt the clam chowder was definitely too salty, but biggest disappointment was the raw oysters. For $36/dozen I was expecting to be wowed. We will come back - but not for oysters.
We had a great night at The Oyster Bar! The oysters were awesome and were handled with care to preserve the salinity inside the shell. Our steak was prepared exactly as ordered and they even split into 2 plates since we shared the entree, after finishing a few dozen oysters. Service was on point. We love it here and definitely recommend a visit if you are in town!!
Oyster bar is a very affordable place to get oysters. The oyster shooters are the best. Keep an eye out for happy hour specials. FYI brunch on Sunday is over at 3.
We actually came here twice in 1 night (date night for us then met friends for drinks, while they ate dinner). First time service was honestly subpar server not attentive to the table and had long periods where we were waiting for him. Second time around different server much better, still not 100% what you would expect for the price you pay. Food was good, definitely come back for oysters and drinks. Entrees were good as well but oysters were really good.
We went for brunch. Both the bottomless mimosas and bloodies were super well done. There were stations with different garnish/juice options set up. We both did the buffet. Some of the food was better than others but that’s par the course for a brunch buffet! I loved the shrimp cocktail (very spicy) and the roast. My one complaint was that a family with two young children were seated at the table with us. While this was no one’s fault, having two young children in your vicinity does not jive well with the ambience of bottomless brunch.
As just a party of two that came in when it wasn’t busy at all, it took 25 minutes after being sat to receive any service/acknowledgement. After that, the server never came back around till we needed a check.
The service was great, we had a very nice server. she explain some of the things on the menu we ask her about. Didn't rush us and always stop by our table to ask if we needed anything else. We will definitely come back there to eat. The food was fantastic
We went he for Valentine’s Day. The service was outstanding. The waitress was able to recommend items and help us decide on our meal choices. The oysters were fresh and delicious. The place was crowded but it was still quiet enough for a great date night with the wife. I will definitely be back to this hidden gem
Overall a good experience, food was delicious and atmosphere was pleasant. The server we had however was lacking. We did not receive menus until we mentioned it to her. The only reason we knew about the special for the night was because we heard a different waitress explaining it to the table next to us. Waited a extremely long time to receive the bottle of wine we ordered as well as the simple side salad and clam chowder appetizers. We watched as people who arrived well after us received the items they ordered before we received anything. She scarcely visited our table throughout the night but was seen visiting her other tables frequently. Not sure what happened or why our table seemed to get virtually looked over but it subtracted from what would’ve been an outstanding dining experience
This is my favorite on the street restaurant. This time I was with wife and daughter. We were seated quickly and in a nice location. The Waitress was great and the food also. Everything was good we had a great meal.
Great little place downtown St Pete. We went for happy hour and had some really delicious oysters for $1 each and $5 martinis. We will definitely be back soon.
over all it was just ok. food was good but nothing to go back for
Server was not very nice after I asked for more dressing. Plopped a large bowl down and walked away. Passive aggressive. She then only asked my boyfriend about the meal and ignored me. Spent a lot of money, but won’t be back again.
Good for $1 oyster nite & beer otherwise just so-so.
We love oysters and they did NOT disappoint! Great food and service. We sat outside, beautiful day! We’ll be back!
Food & service were great. Outdoor seating could use little upgrade. Chairs very close & some were wobbly. This was 2nd time use opentable for this restaurant & both times restaurant didn’t acknowledge it. Had email from open table wondering why I didn’t show up or cancel. Not sure I’ll be back if this happens again
Amazing brunch & bottomless mimosa special!
My husband and I went this time on a Friday night. We had been there before with a group. It is a fun place. It is fairly noisy but that is because people were having fun. The wine and beer selections are good. There are many oyster choices. We had a variety plate and it was great. The entrees were done well, also. We would definitely go again.
A favorite for us locals! Highly recommend. Good food and friendly atmosphere.
Although it was crowded with people waiting for tables, our reservation was honored as soon as we arrived.
Our server, Melissa, was at our table within a couple of minutes. She made some recommendations and gave us a chance to review the menu. She came back to the table shortly thereafter to take our order. The food arrived within a short period of time after ordering. We all had various fish or seafood dishes, and we all seemed to enjoy our meals. Surprisingly, the restaurant did not have decaf coffee to order with our dessert. A couple of us settled for tea. All in all, the Oyster bar was very good. The food could have been a bit hotter, and decaf coffee should be added to the menu. Our server, Melissa, was terrific. She was friendly and very efficient! We will definitely return to the Oyster Bar on our next visit to St Pete!
Great food and festive atmosphere.
The food was amazing. Everything on par. Our waiter was good. We saw him like 3 times. My issue is that there was a girl assigned to bring our entree and she cane right after we finished our full plates of oysters , we both tried to scramble to take away the plates and she said “well I mean you’re done right.” After that the exact server brought silverware to an elderly woman sitting alone at the bar and rolled her eyes. Shortly after this I noticed that this sever got into an argument with both the bartender and another server. In plane view of customers which was noticed by our table, 2 couples at the bar, and a table of 4.
Food and service excellent. We were surprised to see a dog in the restaurant (ok) but the waitresses were petting it and then going into the kitchen. Not good. ☹️
Very good place for seafood. We had the raw Appalachacola oysters and the Oysters Rockefeller, the NE clam chowder, oyster Po-boy, and the lobster roll. The Alligator bites were good too. The only things we weren't happy with were the Bloody Mary (too watered down with ice) and the blackened chicken sandwich our lone land lubber got was just average.
We went here for New Years Eve, service was a little slow as anyone could have guessed but the food was amazing. We did the baked oysters and preferred the parm and herb. Saw that they offer a preferred club to be apart of and considering doing it based on the good deals they offer. Will definitely be back a few times a month.
Amazing seafood. Best lobster roll ever. Can not wait to come again
