We’ve been to Oxbow a few times before and it’s been great. They now have a new menu (no more sourdough appetizer!!! Which was the best) I found the selections limited, most appetizers were sea food, and to add a skirt steak to a salad was an additional $22! So your salad could be around $40. Serving sizes were very small for the main meal. My husband’s meal did not fill him up. Overall a bit pricey for the portions and was just ok this time. Service was good, view is great at sunset.

The setting is wonderful. We sat outdoors and enjoyed the sunset. The food was Ok. We thought the menu was very limited and a bit unusual. I had a seafood stew for $36 thought I thought was very small. Tasty but I was still hungry when we left. The service was great and the drinks were well poured. Overall a nice evening...but the location is a gem and they could make this place spectacular.

Absolutely beautiful spot, but at sunset, they needed to seat us so no one faced west (and that was not the case). The food was very good and fairly priced, yet, 2 sandwiches and 3 drinks and our bill was $113 all inclusive, so the drinks are pricey. We will return for the view and the food. BTW, they had music inside, which sounded very good, but we were happy to be outside where it was quiet and beautiful.

It was our first time there. My girlfriend had the cioppino which was supposed to have lobster in it. However that was not the case. Just a lot of fish and shrimp. The broth however was very good. It would have been nice if the bread it came with was at least warm. It was just thrown on a plate without any butter or anything. I had the steak and fries. It was a skirt steak which was nicely seasoned and tender. I am one for the money you pay to have some kind of presentation to the dish. It was the steak and the fries in a metal container with two different sauce in the cheap little metal cups. Oh I can’t forget the flacks of parsley sprinkled about. We paid over $100 for the meal and the best part was sitting outside watching the sun set. That was beautiful. It’s an unfortunate thing we can’t mute people sometimes. Or a least be able to turn them down. All in all it was good.

Very disappointing!, Such a beautiful location and a great view, but that’s where it ends.. Very slow bar service.. got our first drink and then Nothing after that.. we had a reservation, I. He led in early.. our table wasn’t ready and I let them know we would be at the bar and asked if they would let us know when table was ready,, I got an Absolutely… 40 minutes later and 10 minutes after our reservation time I went up and inquired about our table.. I was initially asked if I had a reservation 🤨. Anyway.. they said they would shuffle some tables around and we finally got seated about 15-20 minutes after our reservation and almost an hour after our arrival.. (although they had open tables outside). Ironically we were seated beside the party of 5 that came in just seconds before us.. with No reservation and they were seated within 5 minutes of arrival ( ok). Menu.. very limited entrees.. it’s a much more casual menu than we expected.. lots of sandwiches and more like bar food. We got our order timely and our waitress Ali was very nice and gave us some recommendations.. I had the peach salad with grilled grouper.. the salad was delicious, the grouper was passed Overdone.. it cut like chicken! They apologized and immediately offered to remake it.. I specifically asked for it to be cooked on the more rare side based on the 1st piece. Fortunately our server saw them cooking it and had them take it off.. apparently a minute before the chef/ cook said he wanted to.. thank goodness! It was till overdone but was edible.. My husband had the Mahi pastrami sandwich.. the fish was cooked fine but was very lack luster.. lots of bread ! So- this might be a one strike and out for us.. such a shame as we Absolutely loved the location and beautiful sunset..

Wonderful food experience and atmosphere. The herb chicken was fantastic, the sauce drizzled-flavorful and robust. The only con was that one of the fans was making a noise outside on the deck, should have shut it off but we got use to it.

Everything was perfect, even the cocktails were perfectly made. Sat outside where the view is superlative and noise levels are down. ( Inside during peak hours, can be a bit noisy, still very tolerable, but a different feel ) Nice store in front of waiting area for some nice trinkets to buy before and/or after your meal.

Oxbow is really nice, super view, great team, amazing food, the prices are a bit steep, especially the drinks, each glass of wine is $13 to $14, I'd order more than one glass, but not at those prices. We are regulars, but that bugs us every single time, friends agree too.

Wonderful service and food with an exceptionally beautiful view. We went for dinner and the turned around and went the next day for brunch. The manager, Duane was very kind and provided the personal touch. Servers Stephen and Roxanne were great too. Highly recommend this gem.

I was looking for a place with good vegan options & the grilled cauliflower was perfect! The red sauce had a nice spicy kick to it & the peanuts added an interesting twist. The grilled peach salad was also amazing! The candied pecans were outstanding & the salad dressing was perfect. Very friendly staff. I’d go again if I come back to Ft. Myer’s!

The waterfront location is beautiful and the service (both the hostess and server) were friendly and competent. Unfortunately both of our meals were just really not very good... chicken sandwich was overcooked and the herb lemon chicken over spiced . Still a beautiful spot on the water.

I ordered the steak frites, one of the most expensive options, and it was very good. I would have liked a vegetable and double the protein. The alcohol was strong and tasty, good value there. The service and atmosphere outside was really great. It's too bad I don't remember my server's name.

Service was great but food was extremely overpriced. 6 Oysters for over $20, which were very small is ridiculous. The Cioppino, which I've had before from Oxbow, was much smaller than last time and didn't even fill up half of the bowl... Make the portions adequate to the top dollar you're charging for food. I was also charged $4 twice for 2 servings of bread... Who does that?....
