The food at Outlier is American in every sense of the word. Not bound by tradition or notions of authenticity, Chef Anthony Sinsay draws on his Filipino heritage and the freshest Pacific Northwest ingredients to make simple, approachable fare as distinctive as the country itself.
The local landscape is constantly evolving, and so are the people who cultivate it. Outlier is an expression of that ever-changing story, as told through our food and cocktails.

A short but interesting menu and excellent service in a modern upscale space.
Great lunch (fried chicken sandwich, bugers, pizzas). Food is always delivered quickly from time of order. Fairly attentive staff (water, orders).
Nice to find a place so close to Benaroya Hall that wasn’t packed before our show. Outlier has a very spacious, comfortable dining room with a really versatile menu that pleased every specific palate in our party of 6.
Good stuff! Always enjoy the food. Never disappoints.
We were staying at Hotel Monaco and ate two meals at Outlier. The breakfast was outstanding. Dinner was good with one complaint that the wild salmon was overcooked. Overall it was a nice setting with a good meal.
I wanted to treat my wife to a romantic Valentine’s Day dinner. I read the reviews of the restaurant before booking. I understand it was Valentine’s Day and restaurant was busy but I would think I would get a nice service and good meal. For the price I ended up paying for our meal was disappointing. I feel my hard earned money was wasted. Our server showed up to our table twice once to take the order (would tell she was in a rush) and when it was time to pay. The only thing on the meal I enjoyed was the “beet tray”, it was beautiful displayed and tasted excellent. Main meal was very small in portion the “cod” was not tasteful, I did not appreciate the radish ( taste was plain no favor) and to accompany the cod was not a good choice, not fulling. The deserts was like a hard bun that’s not even desert. If it was accompanied by fresh fruits and ice cream that would have helped with the taste. The restaurant did not have the romantic atmosphere that I thought it would especially for Valentine’s Day.
Nice valentines date. It was a great experience, but not so amazing that I feel the need to lock myself in there for Valentine’s Day in the years to come. I definitely recommend trying it out!
Outlier is a modern restaurant across the road of the W-hotel downtown Seattle. We had dinner here on Valentines day, they replace the menu with a Valentines only menu. The food was good, but the portion sizes were un-American like small. For an American-kitchen restaurant very unusual. the quality didn't fully compensate for the size of the portion..
I would definitely dine here again. The noise level was loud, but the booth-like seating arrangements still helped me feel like I could have an in-depth conversation without too much distraction. The stoneware is heavy and the server set down one dish very abruptly, with a loud thud. I guess he was in a hurry! That was abrasive, and hopefully the staff can be trained to be exercise a little more finesse (I understand they're busy) to reflect the high level of service business clientele will expect.
I took my team of 10 to Outlier. The food was good, drinks were fantastic, service was excellent, ambiance was a little bright for my taste at dinner time. Highly recommend the pork flatbread and the beef filet. The hot oysters were not a favorite. I enjoyed the Filipino twist on some American classics. Overall I would recommend
Overall experience was good but not many vegan options.
3rd visit, 1st for brunch. We will be back. Service was good, waiter recognized me and said welcome back.
Big fans of Sazerak. New restaurant has a more urban ambiance but quite a bit noisier unfortunately. Wood fired items were great. Burgers mediocre. Prices quite high. Happy Hour was fabulous and good value. Next time we will skip dinner and just do happy hour. Wish they had some tables for happy hour line Sazerak did.
The salmon bowl was good but a little saucy and lacked depth. I wouldn’t get it again. On the positive the salmon was a large portion and cooked perfectly but they reigned but putting a sugary sauce on it.
Nice cocktail and bourbon list. Standard, modern day "one of each kind of protein" style menu. My coworker had the Salmon and she said it was good and the portion size was decent. However I had the Short Rib and, while it was tasty, the portion size was embarrassing. You literally get one tiny "nugget" of Short Rib, and I'm not kidding like 1 carrot and 1 baby parsnip, and a little potato square measuring about 1 1/2" wide. $32 for about 4 bites of food. Tasty sure, but quite the rip off. I do not recommend ordering the Short Rib if you are looking for any sort of dinner main dish - you will leave hungry.
Portions are small, make sure to order sides. Food is great. The Outlier should invest in new silverware.
It was the only place that had any reservations available on short notice, now I know why. The food was a huge disappointment. My chicken was dry. My aunt's pork was way over salted. They charged 6 dollars for a tiny piece of stale bread. Definitely not worth what they charge for food! The wine portions and service was good.
Nice place for lunch or cocktails. Good variety in the menu, from steak frites (great) to grilled cheese/tomato soup. Try the fried chicken sandwich. Space somehow feels a little off though, too spartan to be cozy, but not not homey.
Way to loud to have a business conversation.
Great lunch. Had food less than 5 minutes from our order.
The thanksgiving buffet was not worth $65pp considering the lack of food options available. I would expect a buffet to have enough options to vary my plate from my other guests. The only real option was the salad and potatoes but other than that, it was very basic fare. I could’ve easily spent my $400 on hiring a personal chef and had a better experience. Also, I had to ask the staff to relight the heater under the frozen sweet potatoes. Overall, the food was average yet lacking in seasoning or just too tart (the raspberry compote).
I’ll visit again though, but only on a regular menu
Attended for Thanksgiving brunch/dinner. It was very good. The salads were excellent, I think I was just in the mood for salad maybe. The mashed potatoes were great. Overall food was really good. Service was busy but did a good job. Good selection of wine too!
Thanksgiving Buffet
All was great
Excellent staff. The food was good for the Thanksgiving buffet but it wasn’t worth $65 a person. I won’t be doing that again.
Had a very nice Thanksgiving buffet brunch. Waitress was great!!
Outlier was a pleasant surprise! I’d made reservations elsewhere, but the other restaurant had some kind of mechanical problem and suddenly closed for a couple of days, abruptly canceling my reservation there. I scrambled and wound up with a table for 3 at Outlier. The atmosphere wasn’t quite as cozy as I’d hoped, but everything else about it was perfect: great menu selections, yummy food, helpful & attentive employees, and good value for the money. I was really pleased, and will go there again. Only recommendation: put a sign on the connecting door to Hotel Monaco’s lobby, so guests know to go that way and avoid the rain!!!
It's a little loud! However we were seen quickly during the lunch rush. It was nice for me to be able to have lunch with friends and still get back to work after clocking out for exactly one hour. Super friendly staff!
I would suggest Outlier if a person was going downtown already.
Great place, always good food and service!
The server was very pleasant and attentive and the room was fine. The food however was thoroughly disappointing, especially for a Restaurant Week experience/pricing. The cauliflower starter was fine, nothing special. 2 of us had the salmon dish which was swimming in a tasteless, luke-warm butter sauce (completely unnecessary) and the unrecognizable grain underneath the fish was just a soggy mess. My friend who had the beef was a bit more pleased. We each had a different dessert. The yam was best, but my chocolate cake was dry and dull; it wasted "day old". My friend had the apple galette > the crust managed to be both dry and undercooked, and again, nearly flavorless. A little cinnamon or something would have helped. We won't be back.
Food was not that good for the price you pay. My pork was over cooked and too dry.
I’ve always enjoyed everything I’ve had, however, the falafel sandwich was dry and lacking any flavor. French fries are fabulous!
came for restaurant week to try something new and will definitely be coming back here! food and drinks were both amazing. i went with a group of friends before a show at the triple door which was great to be able to walk over after dinner. all of the staff were very friendly
Unfortunately our experience at best was just ok. Our server was unfriendly and could hardly bring herself to speak to us or make eye contact. She could not bring herself to say hello just "can I get a drink started for you?" The chicken was good and the mint was a delightful touch but unfortunately it stopped there. The potatoes it came with were flavorless and the cauliflower we got as a side was cold in the middle as was our bread starter. As our night came to a close our server didn't even offer a thank you or have a good night. She cleared our plates and tossed our check on the table with nothing else to offer. In a town with so much to offer the culinary scene dinner left us feeling like we made a poor selection.
Fine-dining prices, mediocre food and poor service. Very noisy, more a bar ambience than restaurant. Server was never around and always in a hurry. Given the many fantastic dining choices in Seattle, Outlier needs to up its game to be competitive.
Had a wonderful dinner here before going to a concert at Benaroya. Really nice space, and I really like how they've arranged their booths. A bit loud, but what restaurant isn't these days? Menu is a little on the smaller side, but that's not a bad thing. Everything sounded amazing, so picking dishes was still challenging. Food was delicious! We ordered the Caesar salad, salmon, and the Pancit PNW. There is an option to add chicken to the Pancit PNW which was tasty but not worth the $6 extra. My only complaint is that it ended up being a pretty expensive dinner. The service was great. A bit more on the leisurely side, so we ended up not having time for dessert, but I never felt forgotten about or neglected. Overall great time, and I look forward to trying out more items on the menu.
Our Server (Javier) took the time to explain all the choices and his recommendations... We were happy with his attention to detail and service.
I joined a friend from out of town for a leisurely lunch and both of us thoroughly enjoyed the food, the service and the ambiance. I will definitely return and recommend the restaurant to others.
Was a full hour for brunch, with one drink and one entree each. Server didn't even refill our water glass. Underwhelming at best.
Pre Seahawks breakfast! 4 out of towners chose your place for breakfast. Omelets were great.
