This was a truly exceptional meal / from the crispy oyster to the simply prepared branzino to the sensational bouillabaisse (a special not on the menu), everything was perfectly prepared. The service was attentive, friendly and always willing to chat. We had tge sorbet for dessert, which was the ideal light touch to end what was a very enjoyable evening. Highly recommended!

This was such a mixed experience! We had a 7:00m reservation, but arrived early with the hope that we could have a drink at the bar before hand. The hostess sat us at the bar, we ordered drinks, and shortly thereafter we were asked to leave because “the seats were reserved for dinner”. At about the same time, several seats opened up at the end of the bar, do’s we asked if those were reserved, and if we could move there. The bartenders said yes, and we moved. Within less than three minutes, the bartender told us those seats were also reserved, but that there was one seat mid way down the bar. We moved for a third time, my husband standing behind me, awkwardly holding his martini, until a hostess came and said she could seat us early. Thank god. Our waiter, Connor, was the highlight of the whole experience. He was courteous , attentive, and so, so kind. The kitchen split our apps, which was lovely, and the martinis, wine, bread service, and appetizer special were delicious.

Ostra was expensive but worth every penny! We went with high expectations based on reviews and were not disappointed. Service was impeccable. We received great advice on menu and immensely enjoyed every dish we tried from raw Hamachi appetizer to Paella to Sea Bream (chosen solely on server's recommendation) was exceptional. Vegetable side was also haute cuisine. So enjoyed every bite and our overall experience at Ostra. Among the best seafood restaurants at which we have eaten.

My wife and I love to travel around Boston for good food and oysters. It was our first time dining in Ostra and we loved it. I can understand why this restaurant is mention in two guides for TOP SEAFOOD IN BOSTON! Awesome service from Katherine and their staff!
