   We haven’t eaten here for 10 years, and before our dinners were always outstanding. Last night, the red sauce on my chicken parm and angel hair pasta was completely tasteless. I salted it and salted and salted, but I still couldn’t eat the pasta. I think someone must’ve turned their back when they were supposed to spice the red sauce. I hope that the manager talks to the kitchen, because it certainly wasn’t worth the $40 I paid. I don’t want to leave a bad review, because we’ve had good meals here before, but something was really off last night. You’re welcome to contact me if you need to do so.

   Great food, and service from Francisco was excellent. Great wine list and pasta selection. A classic Italian restaurant in Palo Alto.

   We had an exquisite Easter lunch at Osteria, our favorite place to visit while in the Palo Alto area! Wonderful service, excellent flavors, and an all around delightful experience from start to finish. There’s several good reasons why this restaurant has been going strong since 1986. Try it, and you will NOT be disappointed!

   Best Calamari steak in CA-go back often for it. Wonderful; artichoke/shrimp appetizer. Fresh warm bread--Best in Silicon Valley. Lots of windows and outdoor seating.

   They were short staffed and we felt it. Food was really good. A bit spendy. $168 for two people with only one glass of wine each. They charge a 5% cost of living fee, very annoying. I run a retail services business and we include our costs in our price. They should too.

   Food was good but not exceptional. The prices were exceptional. There are other Italian restaurants in Palo Alto that have better food and are much better values.

   Took an hour to bring entrees, and the place was empty. Food was ok-tortellini was heavy and underseasoned. Daughter didn’t eat much. They forgot to bring son in laws wine. Never came. I won’t run back soon.

    We quite enjoyed our lunch at Osteria, today. A delightful Insalata Caesar w/prawns for me; and my husband had a beautiful Scallopine all' Osteria. The service was excellent, lovely waitstaff and warm dining room. When next you're in Palo Alto, I highly recommend you stop by. We had a reservation but arrived early, which did not present a problem at all. Just a lovely afternoon.
