Mateo was an amazing waiter. Kind, attentive, friendly and informative about the specials. The food? Total miss. Rib Eye was epic and hit the mark. Crab pasta had one little piece of crab! Lame. Salmon crust was fantastic but fish was overcooked. Spaghetti Pomodoro was obviously canned sauce with too much butter. Won’t return

If you are in the mood for a relaxed and expectations-exceeded experience in Davis/Yolo County, I can recommend no other restaurant to you! This oasis in West Davis has been a solid choice for years with seasonal menu variations that capitalize on the best the region has to offer. The extensive wine list has some options for all prices and tastes. For those interested in cocktails, this is NOT your place as the wine is the feature for all courses of the evening. On occasion they have sambuca and limoncello but no other spirits are available. Sitting on the patio on a warm summer evening and sipping prosecco, you have no need for a cocktail as you anticipate housemade pasta and creative starters. The mains are also excellently composed with complimentary flavors and local interpretations of classic Northern Italian standards. This is obviously one of my favorite spots- and my dog loves the patio, too!

Every dish we had, with the exception of the risotto (well prepare but somewhat bland) was flavorful and memorable, especially the salmon and the agnolotti. Great presentation, everything looked so artistic. This was our second visit within a month, and we'll be back soon.

Best Italian food in greater Sacramento area, and probably beyond! Excellent, creative, beautiful house made pastas and fresh, top quality ingredients. Ambience is delightful and service by Matteo was amazing. We tried many different dishes and they were all so good we could not choose a favorite - everything was tied for first place. We will definitely be back.

PERFECT dinner for my wife's & my anniversary. The atmosphere was intimate and comfortable, with extremely good service. The food options were delicious and unique, boasting seasonal rotations. Such a hidden gem.

Our meals were delicious and the service warm and professional. My only small quibble would be the quality of the wine glasses (they are thicker rimmed).

Every single course was exceptional and authentic Italian. The chef has a gift for blending incredible flavors that are extraordinary. We had absolutely nothing negative to say about anything we ate the entire evening. We started with the Parmesan soufflé appetizer that was the lightest soufflé we’ve ever experienced. We also had the polenta and shrimp that was very flavorful. My husband had the lobster spaghetti and it was cooked to perfection with a flavor that we can’t even describe, but was something that we will return for. I have the gnocchi with white truffle sauce. My mom had described a gnocchi and Italy that was “pillows from heaven”. This is the first time I understood what she meant. It’s better than any gnocchi that I have ordered in Italy on any of our trips. My husband’s main course was the jumbo shrimp that he really enjoyed. We were given a small complementary dessert for our anniversary, but we also ordered the lemon ricotta cake and the Tartufo Noccia Which was dark chocolate, surrounded by hazelnut gelato and encrusted and praline. Absolutely fantastic! Our server was fantastic and she had great recommendations. It was the most expensive meal we have ever paid for and we don’t drink. That said, we have absolutely no regrets spending money on a meal we will be dreaming about for quite some time. We plan on returning for Valentine’s Day!
