Fabulous!! Best kept secret in the area. The food is second to none! The best of everything we ordered. Mussels in a wonderful sauce, not the typical you get at other restaurants…excellent. Gnocchi with porcini, little pillows of wonderful dough in a light but full of favor sauce. Risotto with crab. Perfect so tasty and good balance of crab to rice. The squib was done and perfectly served. The light but ever so good. I like that the sauces are light and so full of flavor. This is not your typical Italian with heavy, thick, too tomato and over salted that you get in so many restaurants. This is worth the drive. Come hungry. I ordered everything I wanted. But there are so many selections. Mangia bene Leftovers are fabulous the next day.

Party of 3, 2nd time we’ve been and weren’t disappointed. no appetizers as we wanted to enjoy dessert. Each of us had a different main dish (polenta, gnocchi, risotto with crab) and all were outstanding and perfect portion size. Dessert was delicious and perfect serving size as well. Highly recommend!

If you want to celebrate a special occasion with someone you love, this is it. Lovely outdo it r seating, quiet, peaceful and wonderful food. Pricey but for this kind of restaurant ot is worth a special date. I took my daughter to lunch after she left her oldest at the dorm at University. She loved it.

Service was awful. We won’t return for that reason. The food was great but it was served before the wine. There didn’t seem to be a good rhythm between the waitstaff and the kitchen. If you have food allergies - this is not your spot. The server didn’t know amaretto had almonds and she didn’t know the difference between shellfish and mollusks.

What an amazing, intimate experience al fresco! The freshest, most high-quality Italian food you’ll find anywhere this side of the Atlantic. Old World charm in a delightful outdoor (or indoor) setting with superb service. The best kept secret in Davis…shhhh…We’ll certainly be back!

Food was absolutely delicious. Love that the family is still involved in serving and cooking. The decor is wonderful -- between the art and the photos of family. The outside is lovely too. Amazing selection of incredible food and delicious wine to accompany. Wait staff is attentive and knowledgeable. We had a very special time here.

This was honestly one of the best meals to be remembered. The cheese soufflé was crave worthy and we even ordered a second one to go, it was decadent. My veal cut like butter it was so tender and the truffle sauce paired with the arugula was a new favorite. Finally a tiramisu worth the calories, not whip cream heavy and perfectly balanced. The staff was personal and it felt like stepping back to traditional family dinning with upscale food. Thanks and God bless those cooks.

The food never disappoints here. I’ve been here numerous of times the last 8 years and every thing has been delicious. Wished I lived closer! They do mark up their Italian still water quite a bit compared to what it is in stores…probably the only con I have about the place.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in the area. The food is always fabulous and the service is impeccable. But I don’t understand about OpenTable as I wanted to eat at 6 o’clock and according to OpenTable, there were no available sittings. When we were at the restaurant, there wasere lots of empty tables at any time up until 7 PM when we were finished and left. So I suggest you call the restaurant if you want to have dinner there any specific time.

Waiter made excellent wine recommendation and was attentive. Dishes were imaginatively created and quite tasty. The garden dining area was quiet, sheltered from wind and attractive with tables widely spaced. It was a memorable way to experience a summer evening.

Exceptional service. We loved our server. The soup and salads and some small plates were very creative and tasty. I think next times I'd make the small plates and salads my total meal. Pastas were good, although not superior. Nice location in Village Homes. Took walk through there after dinner. It would have been lovely to eat outside on their patio on a nice evening, but it was too hot out. The dining room was nice, although a little warm. I definitely will return for the service, location and small plates and salads

Great”feel” to this restaurant—very comfortable. Always feel very welcome. Food always very good, but they had a summer appetizer that was outstanding—mousse with peaches, burrata, & prosciutto. Excellent pastas.

I would rate overall 5, but one guest did not like the polenta, saying it tasted more like mashed potatoes. Two of us had the salmon and it was delicious. The salmon was served with a coupler of slices of zucchini. It would have been nice to have more of the vegetable. Thank you for the birthday treat you gave my guest. It is always a delight to eat outside on the picnic tables. We'll be back.
