Great food and service. Thanks guys.
Service was great, appreciated the honesty and candor of our server to guide us to selecting the best meal for our liking. Food was as awesome as I hoped it would be and just want to say thanks to Osetra for a wonderful birthday dinner!
Food was outstanding. Excellent wine selection. Service was excellent too. A flawless dining experience We will certainly return.
Our server was great but he offered specials and did not mention the price. I don’t mind paying for good quality food but I also would like to know, understandably, if my meal is $180, I’ll pay it of course but it’s just restaurant etiquette and courteous to inform your patrons market price of items or price of specials that aren’t on the menu. For future notice, just because patrons don’t mind the cost, doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be informed of what they are paying for
Excellent, excellent, excellent service. Food was absolutely fantastic. Great overall experience for our anniversary.
Very disappointed, perhaps that is why so few people were dining tonight. Seems like a place targeted at convention travelers; food that is ok, but not particularly good and prices targeted at expense accounts. Particularly offensive is the wine list with huge mark-ups and few wines less that $100. Plenty over $300. Felt set-up to be ripped off as soon as I sat down with my party of five.
Great food, cocktails and friendly staff.
The food was delicious, and the service outstanding. Definitely happy we stumbled upon this place when looking for nice places to eat!
Menu and specials were extensive! Great fresh seafood! Music is quite loud and tables close together but overall great evening.
Everything exceeded our expectations. We were pleasantly surprised having selected the restaurant on a whim. The staff are kind and very professional. The ambiance is exceptional and contributed to an elevated fine dining experience. Did not expect this for the area. The recipes are exciting and different, and excellent quality and freshness. We loved our waiter and the entire experience.
Appetizer: The tuna tartare dish was over-powered by the salmon eggs; I could not taste the tuna.
Entree: Fish was over-cooked. Specials were way over-priced (about twice as much as regular entree).
Dessert: The chocolate hazelnut "mousse" is absolutely not a mousse. More like a buttery cake.
Loved it! We are from OK. The last time we were in San Diego we enjoyed this restaurant. Appreciate the quietness. Service is marvelous!!
We started with a small seafood platter and thought they gave us a good amount of food. The lobster raviolis were delicous, but very rich. Loved the Sea bass, it was done perfectly. Disappointed in the coffee and desert. The regular coffee was not great and my sons cappacino had grounds in it. The gelato was icy, but the chocolate lava cake was good. Overall, a good meal and would come back again.
My sister and I were in San Diego for our niece’s wedding and decided to try Osetra for dinner. Everything was perfect, from the moment we walked in, to the moment we left. The service was impeccable! Our waiter, Andrea, was very attentive. Ask for his area when you go. We both had fish (swordfish and the stuffed sole) and both dishes were prepared perfectly. We split the Osetra Salad which was just the right amount for each of us. The dessert menu was really tempting but neither of us could eat another bite, so we ordered the limoncello cake to go! Soooooo delicious later on that night.
The setting is what is to be expected for a fine dining experience with the large wine vault in the middle of the restaurant behind the bar. Staff are attentive know their menus and recommendations. The food was prompt and tasted excellent. From the time you sit and all through the meal you are not rushed and encouraged to take your time.
Excellent service and food I would highly reccomend
Great food and service.
Great upbeat restaurant. Best octopus appetizer I’ve ever had. Seabass was delicious. Crab legs cooked perfect.
The waiter and other staff were very friendly. We ordered the shrimp and scallop fettuccine, filet minion, kale salad, and lobster mashed potatoes. All were very good! The manager even provided great recommendations for what to do after dinner. I’d recommend if you’re looking for an upscale dinner.
The food was good but we didn’t see our waiter for the last 30 mins of our dining experience - we had to flag someone down just to get our check.
Service was excellent and recommendations were spot on. I had the Chilean Sea Bass and it was amazing. Such a large piece and perfectly cooked. Thanks for a great evening
Just outstanding fish. The sole was cooked to perfection and served hot on hot plates.
Excellent wine list and very good service.
Great food and great atmosphere. Love coming here when in San Diego.
Food was way overpriced for the quality and preparation. Tried to have an elegant theme but then had some weird dance music bumping too loud to hear the table or servers speak. Regret it.
Great service food was great except for the risotto that was under cooked. Had to send it twice back to the kitchen. Nevertheless a great time at the restaurant.
Something for every taste. The table had seafood, beef and pasta, all were satisfied. Good wine list and loved the Wine Angel. Great attentive service. Tad pricey.
Fantastic food and the service is always very attentive. One of my favorite spots in San Diego.
OSETRA was great last night. The food was amazing; the service impeccable; the ambiance was great. I will definitely be returning and telling my friends what a great place it is.
Dined on the Monday after Mother’s Day, so weren’t expecting top performance from the kitchen. However, our server Thomas turned out to be the best we have experienced in a long time. His introduction was warm and sincere, his anticipation of our potential needs was uncanny. I ordered a nice bottle of Ferrari Carrano robust Cab. After tasting and declaring it satisfactory, he asked if we would like a larger pour to allow the wine to breathe a bit more. Great idea, wonder why I never thought of that.
We ordered a dozen oysters, choosing the sweeter, west coast, smaller Kumamoto variety. The oysters were only partially shucked, the foot still being mostly attached; but that didn’t affect the fresh taste. There wasn’t much brine to slurp; but the distinctive southern brine was still slightly evident.
We each ordered a Caesar Salad and elected to split the 20oz rib eye. Our server recommended we have it sliced in the kitchen: another great suggestion. The salad was cold and crisp and the lemon wedge was a nice touch as the dressing was a little too smooth, lacking the tangy bite of sufficient garlic. The ribeye was cooked perfectly; but was not the quality I expected for the price. I know ribeye is marbled; but there was little evidence of evenly distributed marbling, mostly a large chunk of fat at one end and a large gristle cutting across most slices. It was however, tender and juicy.
We will return soon, on a Thursday or Friday night when the kitchen A team is at the helm.
So all things considered, this is still a professional operation and even a chef deserves a night off.
The food last a little disappointing. The steak had no flavor and some of the sides were cold. The service was ok but not what you expect for a pricy stake house.
Everything about this experience was poor. To pay for a meal with poor service and a meal that took over two hours to receive isnot acceptable. Having to pay grutuity for this meal is disgusting. I had a way better time and more anjoyable meal at the Water Grill.
Awesome service, Great drinks, & Amazing food!! We will be back for more. Thanks so much team, it was a perfect start to our evening.
Wonderful food and service. Server was great. Broad menu with options to suit all. Food very good. Cons- noise level a bit high and tables quite crowded.
Very good food with a very good happy hour. We will be bad.
I wasn’t impressed by their food. The steak had NO flavor and was over cooked. Have had steak better elsewhere.
Food took awhile to get to table but when it did, it was delicious everything was cooked to perfection, and our server was very attentive and quick to any request we asked.
The sea bass was amazing and the mood was perfect for pleasant dinner conversation
This place was incredible. Service was excellent and staff so friendly. The food was so delicious and wonderfully presented. Dinner was a highlight of my San Diego vacation.
Excellent food & service
