Oscar's of Dublin
Initially, the service was a bit slow. We were sitting at our table for several minutes before someone came to offer water and take our drink order. But after that it was good. The wedge salad was probably the best I’ve had. And the wine selection was nice, too. Not a great menu selection, but we ordered the salmon and the steak skewers. Both were good - not great. The best part was the ambiance - It was fantastic! Perfect weather. Perfect location. And a beautiful view.
We were happy with our dinner at Oscars. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. We plan to go back soon.
Winderful.. John is Awesome
The filet we had was average but the scallops were outstanding
The waitress was amazing and very attentive. The atmosphere was wonderful, we could actually hear each other talk because it wasn’t so loud like so many other restaurants! Such a great place!!
My recent visit to Oscar’s was a bit of a disappointment. The usual level of delicious food and excellent service was not present. The Oscar’s signature bread lacked some normal ingredient, perhaps salt, The Oscar’s walleye was ok, but not great, and the service was average even though the restaurant was three-quarters empty. Hope this is not a result of the restaurant competition in the area.
Duck was the big hit at our table.
My wife and I love Oscars in Dublin. It’s one of our favorite restaurants. We consistently have great experiences there, and we love the food!
Fabulous evening! Everything was Wonderfull! Staff, music, tv's, ambiance, FOOD &drinks
We had a very nice meal, but we did have to ask for a server to come to our table after waiting a while. Our server did mess up on our, but it was corrected.
We had a reservation for two and were seated in a two-top in the middle of the room, even after we asked for a quieter table. Chicken meatball angel hair had creole tomato sauce, which was barely there (doesn't sauce cover all or most of the pasta?). Chicken had no flavor and pasta dish was a "C" at best. Had mushroom tomato basil soup -- not bad but mushrooms overwhelmed the flavors. Waiter was attentive but offered nothing when hearing my response.
There are too many good choices in downtown Dublin....no need to hurry back to Oscar's.
Tried Oscars for the first time. We were seated at a table and no one came up to us for 5-10 minutes. A server came up to us and asked "has someone greeted you?". We said no. The server replied with "let me go see who has you". He came back about 2 minutes later and said "I'm glad I asked because they said I have your table". I ordered the La Nueva York cocktail, which was way too sweet and had way too much simple syrup in it. I ordered the filet and my boyfriend ordered the ribeye. I did not like the flavoring of my filet--I have had much better elsewhere and was disappointed. My boyfriends ribeye was good. It was not served with a side. My boyfriend asked the sever, "wasn't this supposed to come with a side of potatoes?" The server said "I should know that, but I'll have to check". A few minutes later he came back with a side of the potatoes au gratin, which was not good and had no flavor. We ordered the creme brûlée and that surprisingly was pretty good. Overall we were very disappointed and felt the quality of the food was not at all worth the price. I am usually very forgiving of the food service industry, as I was a server for a couple years in college. However, as a server you should always know the section of the restaurant you are responsible for serving and at the very least know the menu! We will not be returning to oscars.
We brought a party of nine foodies to Oscar's, and were delighted with the way they accommodated us from start to finish. The food and service were excellent, and we could hear each other, which was important to us. Will definitely go there again!
Thursday night is Steak and Wine night. $20 filet and $24 ribeye with discounted bottles of wine!
One of our favorite restaurants in Columbus. After taking our order, the manager or owner came over to tell us they were sold out of their special -halibut so my wife ordered the Walleye which she loved. I ordered the spareribs which are wonderful and enough for at least two meals. Because they had sold out after taking our order, they paid for a carryout dessert. I chose the Banana Creme Pie which is a homemade tort with a graham cracker crust and praline topping. Probably the best dessert I have ever eaten. It was somewhat noisy in the large room where we ate, but nonetheless it was a wonderful dinner.
Excellent place. Great food, atmosphere, and service!
Great food, good service convenient location. Oscars is one of our go-to places in Dublin.
Pretty average meal. Got the shrimp gnocchi. Not a ton of flavor. I’m a tall guy but it was not a big enough portion. One of the women in our group also had the meal and agreed. Server was fine. It not very engaging.
Perfect place for a large group. We met in the bar, and there was plenty of space to socialize before we were seated. We had a few more join us at the last minute and Oscars was able to accommodate our additions. We asked to do separate checks by family units, and the waiter handled the request seamlessly. Everyone agreed that the food was outstanding. It was a lovely evening.
Waited 15 minutes after being seated. Staff walked by several times but never stopped even after making direct eye contact. Did not even receive water. No one acknowledged us until we stood up and started walking out. Was not even completely full. Maybe just a bad night but will not be back. Only second time we have ever walked out of an establishment due to lack of service. Not that hard to please. Just expect to be greeted within reasonable time period after seating in a nice establishment
The basic food ordered we ordered was inexcusably poor quality. The wedge salad should not have left the kitchen. Limp, cold, old, undercooked fatty bacon bits. Old chopped tomatoes. Watery blue cheese dressing. Brown -edged lettuce. Robotic service. Overall not good quality.
The service was PHENOMENAL! Friendly and knowledgeable, the servers made our evening very enjoyable. This place is a true Dublin treasure; please make sure to stop in and say hello.
One of my favorite Dublin restaurants. The variety from the oyster tostadas to the spicy tilapia makes this a must. Food is consistent, creative and delicious.
As usual food was exceptional as was the service. Great selection of food and drink!
This is our neighborhood restaurant. The menu does not vary much but what is in there is nicely done. The services is very good. The wine list is quite good and you can find good value. My wife loves their walleye. I like their slow cooked ribeye. Their tuna sashimi tacos are excellent, if they are on the menu.
Our table was ready on time. Our food was outstanding as always. And our waiter John is awesome. He does a great job!
I like Oscars as a go-to for family night. But you could also go to Oscars for a special occasion like a birthday or date night. Their staff is educated and the service is great. The tables are close together so the noise level is high. There's great ambiance and that offsets the noise.
The food was delicious! I had the lunch deal of pick 2 and chose the kale Caesar and the beet salad. Both were outstanding! The service was attentive and good. The price was reasonable. I'll be back!
Excellent, as always!! Great food, great service, great value, great atmosphere!!
St Patty's weekend, so it was a louder crowd, also my first time there, so really can't compare. The atmosphere is quaint and rustic and has an Old Dublin Pub and Dinner feel to it. Loved that about it, who could as for more on an Irish Weekend!
Try it, It will be a fun afternoon or evening. Great Food, Atmosphere and Staff! Tell John the Waiter I sent You! He is a gentlemen's kind of guy!
I went with a large group of friends on a Saturday night and they are great for large groups. For my appetitizer I got Brussels sprouts , which were amazing and shared s few with friends who also agreed they were amazing . For my entree I got the Ahi tuna , which was only okay. It lacked flavor and seasoning , the sweet potato mash and veggies were spot on, but the tuna was just eh. I personally wouldn’t order it again. As for dessert I got the banan cream pie, which was also excellent . Cutest little pie , well plated and easy to share with others. Overall it was a good experience. They also have a great drinks list.
we went there for my wife's birthday .We did mention it when we made reservation .we felt rushed .My steak was fatty.
Nice chill Friday evening dinner
Was very good in all aspects. It's layout seems to make it a nice place to have a conversation.
Very friendly staff, excellent waitress, very good food!
Wow....we are never disappointed when we have dinner at Oscar’s. From the warm, yummy bread to a salad big enough to split and then to the salmon which we have every time (it is that good!), the whole evening was 5 stars. Great service, great food. What more could you ask for!
Excellent food and service our waiter Covfee was phenomenal!
Our neighborhood favorite for over 20 years!!!
Always a good meal, great service. Enjoyable evening.
