   As always, the food was delicious, and the service is great. I can't believe how long it had been since I last visited - I definitely won't go so long without eating there again!

   Not good. The couscous meat was full of fat, there wasnt enough vegetables. The worst I ever had. The mint tea was not tasty. And we were the only people in the restaurant on a saturday at 8pm they didnt even put some music. They brought 2 pieces of turkish delight with the bill and they were shocking. One tasted like mint (toothpaste) and the other one like a very cheap orange juice...

   This used to be a very special place for Moroccan dining years ago. The place has not been invested in, the traditional leather lamps on the walls have dried out and are broken, all the old decoration gone and the plates are in cheap white ceramic instead of the terracotta colourful luxury we were used to. The food is very basic, the tagines pretty watery and portions very small - both for starters and for the mains. Selection of wines by the glass, non-existing. The vanilla ice cream my kids ordered was terrible, definitely coming from a cheap supermarket chain. All in all, for the £40/each we paid, a very disappointing experience.

   We have been to Original Tanginess a number of times over the years and have always found the food excellent, the service very friendly and efficient, and overall it is good value.

   Wine list limited & low quality. Food was very basic with no flavours which is surprising for type of cuisine. Only one other couple dining while every table was occupied at restaurant next door, after our dining experience we understood while everyone was next door. We won't be back.

   Our evening sitting outside Original Tagine was better than anticipated. They only have two tables outside which on a warm evening in Central London on a quiet street is a shame - but we managed to get one of them. The choice of tanginess and Couscous is very good and the meat i my lamb couscous was nice and soft with interesting vegetables. The only negative is that they do charge a reasonable amount for the bread that went with our starter of humous where most either include it or charge a nominal amount. But even so it was a good meal and we will go back again, although I remember that in the winter it is a rather cool restaurant.

   I love Moroccan food and have never had a bad experience with it...until now. The Hummus, aubergine starter and flat bread were ok but the main meals were completely bland and dry (and the lamb chewy). Granted we should have tried the Tangines which we didn't but we definitely won't be returning to do so. The restaurant was empty which says it all really. I don't ask for much :-(

   The service and food were very good, shame the ambiance was missing. The couscous royale and chicken tagine were tasty, as were the houmous and spicy olive appetisers. We had a midweek booking and were alone in the restaurant. Located just off Baker Street, the restaurant may get less foot traffic than the high street chains around the corner. I hope the restaurant gets more visitors !
