Prime Rib had to much fat And did not taste very good.
Great time, food, service and location! We go to Ore House when we have guests as it is always
the place to over great dinner and atmosphere! It was again an outstanding evening!
My prime rib was excellent, by my companion's calamari was rubbery, and his crab cakes were burnt and mushy. Perhaps you shouldn't order the seafood at a steak house! To be fair, management offered replacement food, which my companion declined. Both of the low-quality dishes were removed from the bill.
We experienced excellent, friendly service and delicious food. I very, very rarely finish an entire steak but couldn't stop myself from savoring every mouthwatering bite. Since I am hard of hearing we requested a quieter table and were accommodated. We will definitely be back the next time we are in town.
I wish there were more vegetables in your sides. I think I had 6 green beans on my plate. For the price you can do better than 6 green beans!!
Asked for my steak cooked medium and it was cooked perfectly.
Great service and a wonderful meal! The Dinner for two is a great deal. Will be back again!
We go to this place a lot. Disappointing last night. Out of their staple prime rib. Strip steak was undercooked and then overcooked. Pine grove burger was lackluster. Late dining reservation on a Fri night and definitely felt rushed.
Food and service were amazing! We even had a complimentary dessert and we both agree it was the best we’ve ever had! The $19.71 Prime Rib dinner topped it all off! Thank you Ore House- We’ve never eaten here before but we will for sure be back and tell family and friends!
We’ve been to The Ore House many times and love it. However the service this past time was not what we’ve come to expect. We spend much of the meal with empty water glasses and drinks. Also the bar area was so load we could not talk across the table.
I was at Ore House for a birthday dinner - the food, ambiance as well as my server Austin was GREAT!
Excellent food, on a cold and snowy night. Good service, nice setting, and good value, especially the Sunset specials...would return, and recommend...
Warm & Cody ambience. Nice upgrades to the restaurant. As locals that actually live here full time we appreciate having such a pleasant place for dinner.
The ribeye my son had was 45$ pure gristle
My other son and I had King crab legs there was no crab inside , the meat was completely shriveled .
I do love the salad bar though. The staff is great .
Food was excellent but pricey. They had a special going on and our bill for two was still $119 - the wait staff was beyond excellent and as a result a well deserved $25 tip increased our bill to just under $150 - the prime rib was the best we've had in some time. And the crab legs and lobster tail was equally tasty. Salad bar was old school and just as good as the main course. Because of the large salad bar and main course portions we were unable to make room for desert.
Can’t beat the prime rib special for $19.71 this month! My husband had the ribs and thought they were excellent too and for a great price. We will be back!
The salad bar was excellent. Fresh and good choices. The mashed potatoes were also quite good. The green beans needed a touch more time in the frying pan as they were on the raw side of al dente and rather flavorless. The biggest disappointment was the steak. Neither of our steaks were cooked to medium rare as both were medium to medium well and both were rather tasteless. Mine was supposed to have a garlic butter sauce, but there was no sign of that on the steak. Did have a sauce on the side. The service was great, but the food was not what I had hoped it to be. Overall, considering we drove for nearly and hour to get there based on recommendation and had a $44 steak that was more like a chain restaurant, we were less than impressed. I have chosen yes as a recommendation as I always give a restaurant 2 chances, but were it not for the salad bar and service, I would be unlikely to ever go back.
Our waitress, Katherine was the best!!! The right amount of attention without being intrusive
My wife and I had reservations and were promptly seated. Great and friendly service. Dakota was very attentive and provided excellent service. The food was excellent. I would definitely recommend the experience.
Our recently married server was reserved yet fun, also
Food and service amazing as usual 19.71 prime rib yummy
It was a great experience. Steaks were great prepared perfectly. Will definitely come back again
Went for a fancy night out and was underwhelmed. Prime Rib was subpar. Green beans very bland and boring. Very loud inside, especially being sat by the bar. Salad bar was actually better than expected and waitstaff was okay, but obviously focused on the older, wealthier tables. Most like won’t be back unless someone else pays for it.
I brought my wife here for her birthday while on vacation from California, and was astonished at the level of service and attention to details. Our waitress was absolutely impeccable, and made our dinner there memorable. Thank you for the addition to our vacation stories.
As usual, the salad bar was amazing - very fresh, with a nice selection of toppings and add-ins. Had to remind ourselves not to fill up on the cinnamon rolls in the bread basket. We each had the prime rib at an unbelievably low price, accompanied by fresh green beans and fully loaded baked potatoes. We hadn't really saved room for dessert but in celebration of our anniversary our server presented us with a complimentary dessert - mud pie, perhaps? - that had a delicious coffee and chocolate flavor. Overall a wonderful place to enjoy our anniversary dinner!
The Ore House is the restaurant we recommend to anyone. We go there any time we want to celebrate an occasion or take guests out for a wonderful meal. We know we always get a fantastic mean and quality service. Plus we enjoy the salad bar almost as much as the meal.
We had a nice dinner at Ore House. The service was excellent. The salad bar was very good, the rolls were delicious, and the sides that came with our steaks (house potatoes and green beans) were yummy!
I had the tenderloin wrapped in bacon and topped with crab meat and bear aisle sauce. My steak was cooked properly, but it tasted burned, as if the grill wasn’t clean enough. Also the topping didn’t have much flavor. My husband’s steak also tasted burned. The steaks seemed like they were good quality.
We had scrumptious apple pie for dessert.
Visiting Steamboat and saw this rustic restaurant from the road. Checked the website and saw they were having a special for the month of October on their prime rib. Instead of the usual $35 for an 8oz they were selling it for $19.71 to celebrate their anniversary. Super meal, great service and rustic ambiance.
We came two times. The first was in the back room on Sunday, September 29th and our server was excellent and our food was too. We came back on Wednesday, October 2nd or 3rd (can't remember as we have "vacation" mind) and we sat in the Bar room - - very loud and our server seemed very disinterested. However, we did like his "helper" who was way more attentive than ours. In the past, we've not loved the Ore House, but this trip it was Excellent!!! We'll be back in January and February and will surely visit!
When we have friends in town, Ore House is our go to place. Good variety & always is a hit.
We made a last minute reservation and enjoyed the Prime Rib special. Great relaxed atmosphere and delicious food!
Good food, special value dinner well priced. Good service but noisy.
Great experience including salad bar, bread basket, potato, and vegetable with entree. The beef filet was fork tender. Rustic interior with great history with views of the mountains. The wait staff was excellent, especially Nate.
I’ve had so-so meals but last Sunday was outstanding. Great night!
The drinks were very watered down, food was so so. Very disappointed
Enjoyed birthday celebration. Service, food, and special for two was wonderful. Nice wine provided with meal. Appreciated that Sean stopped by to check on us and waiter was very accommodating. Booth request was also honored. It was a perfect evening. Ore House has improved tremendously the past few years and is now a favorite goto for us.
Everything was nice except the booth we were at by the bar was a bit more narrow than usual. It’s the round one at the corner where they have the 3 booths by the bar. We are not bigger people, but might be harder for bigger people. Everything else was perfect
I told the restaurant we were celebrating our 40th Wedding Anniversary when I made the reservation. When we were seated, they put us in the bar and no mention was ever made about our anniversary by anyone. After we were done eating, I went to the hostess stand and asked them if they had received from Open Table that it was our anniversary. They said they did. I asked the girl with long blonde hair what they usually do for an anniversary. She said that they usually give a dessert. I told her nothing was done for us but that we had already paid our bill. She said she was sorry that they dropped the ball. Next thing I know, I received an email from Open Table saying that the Ore House had cancelled my reservation. I guess the girl didn't want to get in trouble for dropping the ball about our anniversary. Also, since they cancelled the reservation, I didn't receive my 100 points from Open Table and also couldn't write a review. This was a very disappointing evening since it was the actual night of our anniversary. Of all the restaurants we ate at on our 2 week Colorado anniversary trip, this was the most disappointing one. I would not recommend it at all. There are too many other good restaurants in Steamboat Springs to enjoy dinner, especially for an oscasion as special as a 40 Wedding Anniversary!!
Steaks lacked flavor, salad bar was good. Overall wasn’t one of our top places we ate at
Excellent food and service. It’s my favorite restaurant to eat in when we are in steamboat Springs
