   The Christmas Day buffet provided a multitude of delicious and well-prepared food options - something (or rather many things) for everyone. However, I was quite surprised to find out that the cost per person (13 and older) was $150 — not the $50 / person stated when I made the OpenTable reservation. For a party of 6, with at least half of us having low-moderate appetites, the value for the money was quite low for us. Also, when asked about peanuts (due to an allergy), the hot food station / cook staff were not sure about the type of oil used for the fried foods. (While we’re used to going to restaurants that cannot guarantee that their food has not been made without the possibility of peanut traces, the use of peanut oil obviously poses much more of a significant risk.) Regardless, the server was very courteous and hospitable (even though our party were not staying at the Fairmont). And, in true Fairmont style, the ambiance was lovely and beautiful.

   Absolutely amazing experience! Fabulous food, pizazz, great service, wonderful patrons, and idyllic atmosphere. We will be back! My only complaint is it is impossible to sample a half of bite of everything they offer. By 5pm I regretted not sampling more items. I missed out on so many incredible foods.

   Mother's Day was the reason for the high energy. The staff was excellent. Poke and local food such as laulau and poi were MIA, unfortunately. I am a local gal, always noting the lack of local influence in most resort restaurants. Mahalo, Malu (Marcelle Loren)

   Food was amazing, service was horrible. Servers took forever to bring watee then brought seltzer. Never bussed the tables even with plates piled high and flies and birds trying to land. At one point I stood up, used plate in hand and waved down our person who was hiding in their bussing area. She rarely came out without usnl trying to wave someone down. Other sections seemed to have excellent service. We were unfortunate. In the food area, the syrup, whipped cream and strawberries were scraped clean for quite some tine in the waffle area before I finally asked someone to refill the items.

   The cold food should have been colder and kept on ice eg the shrimp, oysters and crab.

   Easter brunch. Excellent variety and preparation. For a large crowd on a holiday the noise was very acceptable. Excellent service as well.

   Easter brunch. Selection and quality was outstanding. Loved the Bacon Wall. Our server was on point without being overbearing. Buffet was one of the best we’ve experienced on Hawaii island. Easter bunny was a nice touch. Definitely will go back.
