In its bright eatery with wooden accents, an open kitchen and exposed brick walls, Orchard City Kitchen serves modern American fare crafted by Michelin-starred chef, Jeffrey Stout. Sensational vegetarian entrées include cauliflower "steak" with lemon butter and croutons, mac and cheese with shishito peppers and herbed farro risotto. Orchard City Kitchen also has a variety of seafood entrées, such as the grilled and chilled prawns with a fish sauce vinaigrette and scallop sashimi with macadamia nuts, as well as meaty dishes like the KFC (Korean fried chicken), the pork dumplings with roasted mushrooms and the country fried steak with sausage gravy. Inventive meals deserve an equally inventive cocktail. Try the honeymoon suite, with vodka, raspberry rhubarb and lemon. Our waiter at lunch was Noah who was friendly and professional. We ordered salads. Mine was a simple wedge with added protein (grilled chicken). The chicken was moist and flavorful. We have been coming to OCK for years and they are consistent in quality with a menu that is kept fresh.

OCK is one of the best spots in San Jose. Cocktail menu is always spot on, changes a couple times a year and NEVER misses. the food is always good and the menu changes regularly however the mainstays - BBB, KFC, bruger variation - never disappoint.

I used to love OCK but our meal today was not good. I've had a sandwich pretty much every time because they've been delicious. Today's prime rib banh mi was horrible. Not sure if the kitchen staff has changed, or just the recipes. One of my guests ordered the pork belly. She had to send it back because it was 90% fat. Greta was exceptional and the only good thing for our visit. I may never return and that is sad. Sorry to say.

Our family had a lovely dinner on the patio. Since this was our first time dining at OCK, our server guided us through the menu and made excellent recommendations. We had fun sharing multiple dishes. Standouts included the crab tostada, tempera mushrooms, the pike box and the winter citrus salad. We look forward to returning!
