Oppi'z Bistro and Natural Pizza

Outdoor dining on State St. Plenty of spacing between tables. Park on Figueroa. Food quality is quite high. Salads are extremely fresh and lightly dressed. Really cannot tell what they do to make the pizza crest so light, but it is delicious. We had pizza w/pesto, Greek olives and sundried tomatoes.

Later dinner after we arrive in Santa Barbara for vacation. Great outdoor seating with heaters for the evening and umbrellas for the day. My husband and I shared the meatball appetizer and the bolognese. Everything was homemade and fresh and absolutely delicious!!

Very good and quiet! The boss offered cups of "italian champagne". original pizza choice.

We sat outside and enjoyed the sunshine and the people watching on State Street. The servers were friendly and promptly took our food and drink orders. The food was delicious. We enjoyed the spinach salad and fettuccine bolognese…delicious and freshly prepared!

Amazing evening meal in the beautiful Santa Barbara. Possibly one of the best pizzas ever!

The food is fresh and delicious.

The black margarita pizza at Oppi'z is one of my all time best pizza experiences, and I've had pizza in Sicily, Rome, Tuscany, Napa, Chicago, New York, etc. The owner, who is from near Milan, has an attention to detail and respect for fine ingredients that characterizes the best of Italian cuisine, but he is not afraid to experiment.

The bottled black rice "salads" are original and flavorful variations on the "insalata tepida" I've had at some wine bars in northern italy.

The black margarita pizza was a revelation for me. It's not exactly like a white crust pizza in terms of flavor and texture--to me it was much more flavorful.

Outdoor street seating is nice and Service was fantastic--they even treated our dog like a VIP, and I had a nice convo with the owner at the end of the meal.

The wine list is all Italian, and I enjoyed the Chianti and especially the Montepulciano. The only negative is that their wine pours are very meager, so you are better off buying a bottle if you plan to have more than a couple of glasses of wine.

Will come back here every time I come to Santa Barbara.

We enjoyed our meal. I had the lasagna, and I thought it was delicious, something that my mom would make. The pizza was also very good. They were shorted staff but it did not reflect on their service

Service and food were excellent. Our group included vegan diners, an infant, and a pup and they accommodated everyone flawlessly.

We had our 10 year anniversary and decided on Oppi'z due to some recommendations. The staff was well trained and super nice. The menu had many different choices. We started with a jar salad with salmon which we loved and then I ordered a pizza and my husband got a pasta dish. The whole meal was super good. The owner even came over to wish us a happy anniversary. We will defiantly be going back soon!

The Nebbiolo was a great start to the meal, which was ricotta-filled ravioli with sage and brown butter, perfectly al dente. I had room for dessert, so I tried the tiramisu along with an espresso. Dessert was served in a mason jar, which was a nice touch. Everything was expertly prepared and delicious, and the service was great. Highly recommend.

Good upscale-casual Italian; nice place to bring visitors to experience State Street. The pizza was delicious; our pasta dishes (the tagliatelle and the spaghetti puttanesca) were fine but not particularly exciting. Note that they do not have a full bar, only wine, beer, champagne and hard cider.

Ok food - nothing great. Mediocre ambiance. Not worth the price

I really enjoyed their Black Margherita pizza. The outdoor seating was just far enough away from the hoopla for a family to enjoy a nice dinner, while close enough that it was still lively.

Loved the outdoor eating space. Loved the black pizza crust and truly appreciate the vegan options and the menu clearly delineating vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free.

The service here is wonderful and the food is great. Get the blackened crust pizza and the black rice with tofu and vegetables. The presentation is so fun!

Oppi’z was great! We had exceptional service, the COVID protocol made us feel safe dining there, even inside. We had the black crust margarita pizza and it was excellent! I would and will eat there again.

Never coming here again. We sat down at 12:30 and over half the table was not served until 2:30. The food was below average and the management didn’t even come to our table to apologize or provide compensation for this horrible experience

The black pizza crust was divine!

We came for our anniversary dinner reservation at 7pm. We were seated within a couple minutes and given water, however we were not greeted for an entire 45 minutes. Other people had sat and were served food before we were even asked what we would like to drink besides water. It honestly felt like blatant disrespect as others were receiving their food and drinks after sitting down after us. We were really excited to try this place and this was the worst service I’ve ever received in a restaurant. Big bummer.

Oppi'z served the best bruschetta I've ever eaten. It is served on black bread and drizzled with balsamic vinegar. The rest of the dinner was very good. The servers friendly and attentive. Generous wine pours.

Loved the Pizza Black Parma!

We keep coming back to Oppi'z because the food is so good. I think this our eighth time in ten months. If you like a modern take on authentic Italian, this is the place.

We enjoyed our Mother's Day brunch at Oppi'z. We were seated promptly outside, and with the overcast day, the restaurant had the outdoor heaters on. The menu had enough variety for all of us, and the Black Parma pizza was delicious. Kids pizzas were also great. While we had a bit of a wait for our food, the ambience was nice with attentive staff. The moms were treated to a complimentary mimosa and a single rose, very thoughtful and sweet of the restaurant. It made our experience very memorable. We would visit again!

The service was slow and the the salad was brought out with the main. Sat inside maybe if we would have been outside our service would have been better.

Food was fantastic, server was friendly, the only issue we had was that they brought one plate from our party of six to the wrong table so we had to wait about 10-15 minutes after we all had our food before our final guest got to eat. But the food was fantastic and worth every penny.
