   Group of 7 we were seated behind a small half wall tucked away from the open air space where most of the tables are located. I’d say the ambience is casual and nice, but also felt a bit underwhelming and cold as it’s just one big open room. Food was all delicious! A bit expensive, but plated nicely. Dessert selection was good as well as the wine selection. Would go back!

   Our food and service was great. Unlike most restaurants in the area, we didn't feel crammed into a small table with little privacy or room to get in and out. We will definitely be back!

    Hesitated writing anything since we were anxious to try Open Range since the sale was announced. Our server was superb and the ambiance is hard to beat. We are hopeful that the new owners will continue to improve this great venue. The food was certainly a step up from our last visits but still over priced. We aren't giving up just yet.

    This has been out favorite dinner spot in Bozeman so we booked for our anniversary. Not a good as it was now under new ownership. All good except: -music nor befitting the environment — the Frank Sinatra vibe is bad -french fries were cold greasy over-fried bits of crap

    Decided to treat my family to a nice steak dinner for a special occasion. Unfortunately, Open Range was a disappointment and we wish we would have gone elsewhere. The escargot appetizer was chewy and tasted off. While the sides (carrots and fingerling potatoes) were good, I had a hard time even cutting the $60 medium-rare ribeye with a steak knife because of tough connective tissue. Our experience was definitely not worth the $240 we spent. No plans to return.

    There were multiple issues with our meal. First, we had someone in our party with specific dietary restrictions and it was clear that our server got mixed messages from the kitchen as to the ingredients of the meals. Second, the risotto we received was cold and 2 of our meals were 15 minutes behind the other 2. Finally, no attempt was made by management to rectify the situation. We all felt that our experience fell far short of what we expected. On a positive note the cocktails were great and could recommend the Baked Montana without question. However this is not enough to recommend the restaurant.

    Wonderful food, as usual. We enjoy the escargot and cornbread starters. The ribeye never disappoints and skillet cookie with ice cream was a new favorite. Will plan our next trip to Bozeman in April at the Open Range.

    We loved Open range. We did a reservation NYE for my husbands birthday and it was absolutely perfect! It was quiet, the food was excellent, the service was amazing. We will definitely be going back next time we’re in town!

    Unfortunately, it seems we were served the leftovers of what was in the restaurant. They were understaffed and seemed to lack the food supplies to justify the cost. Our main course steaks were all less than grocery store quality. If they were all “hand cut” it seemed they were salvaging what they could. Our server was great. The food wasn’t.

    This place have lost its way. It use to be great. We ordered appetizers and they were sent to another table so very late. The corn bread had an odd taste. It use to be good. My daughter’s chicken was undercooked and seemed rancid. I sent it back but yet it still was on the bill. The waitress pressed the button for the highest tip on the bill. It is now for tourist only. Being a local I should know better. Now I do

    We made this reservation weeks ago to celebrate Christmas with our grown-up daughters. We’ve eaten here plenty of times over the years and it surprised me how much the food quality has declined. My daughter ordered the salmon with root vegetables and ate only a quarter of her salmon. The root vegetables were not really edible. I had a steak and potatoes. Both were very very salty. I couldn’t enjoy it and woke up all puffy eyes from the salt the following morning. The service was OK but our server did not make us feel welcome after we requested a booth instead of a table. My husband and I came here for our first date Eight years ago and wanted to sit in the same booth which we do quite often.

    The food was not good but not good enough to justify price. Our steaks were overcooked, one of which we sent back, and waited 20 minutes for a new one which they charged us half price for, and everyone was finished eating by the time we got it.
