valentine day dinner
long wait even if we had a reservation.
To get the first appetizer, it took 1 hour
We came here for Valentine’s.Day. The food and the service was excellent!
Loved everything about One Market. Especially close to the Ferry. It was a pricey meal though ;).
A lovely Valentine’s Day celebration!
We enjoyed a lovely lunch on our 25th wedding anniversary. The food and service was fantastic
The staff is very engaging. However, the tasting menu is not spelled out. And the wine pairing was not clear. The process is a bit discombobulates. But the sommelier and the wait staff are very nice. There was always confusion as to what was being served and how it was explained. Some dishes were amazing and others very bland. Love the setting and the staff. The kitchen and menu system needs some work. Print the tasting menu and print the wine paring so guests know what they are getting.
Service and food is always consistently good. They know how to do a biz lunch.
Not only was the menu and the cuisine absolutely delicious, the service was superb. The timing of the dishes brought to the table was perfect. It was a nice pace - we never felt rushed. Wonderfully curated wine list and beautiful atmosphere. Our table was located in the corner window and we had a gorgeous view of the Embarcadero and Bay Bridge. It was lovely to see passersby outside. On the evening that we dined, they had a great trio in the front area. It's rare to hear live music at restaurants these days. There was even a sweet couple that obviously appreciated the live music and danced along. Very charming evening!
Decent American restaurant with a great choice of house bread. Nice ambiance with a nice view of the Embarcadero. Great location too
Great Service. Food was really good! It has a great atmosphere, with the large windows letting in sunlight. I will have to go more often. I especially want to try the prime rib on Friday and Saturday!
This is our favorite restaurant for special occasions/celebrations!
Lunch is a great value at One Market.
A noisy, energetic urban spot with consistently good food. Apparently our order got lost in the lunch crowd and we waited 45 minutes after ordering for our food to arrive. Our waiter apologized and gave us free desserts. Perhaps the service could be better organized?
Restaurant Week is always fantastic, and this year did not disappoint. The lamb shank was amazing!
Hope to be back soon
restaurant pre fix menu was great for both price points; however desert was not that great, bland.
Fantastic service, restraunt week menu was great. Fantastic wine reccomendations.
Prime rib and. Rib eye was outstanding. The booths were romantic. Everything was delicious
This is a wonderful restaurant in all its aspects. Not to be discounted are it’s excellent location and exemplary service. Our waitress was superb.
Great service, ambiance, and food!
Great special occasion place
I was in San Fran for a trade show and this was close to my hotel and had good reviews. I made a reservation on Open Table and when I arrived the restaurant was not very busy, there were lots of open tables. I ordered some fish and my dining partner ordered their special of the evening which was prime rib (should already be cooked at 7pm, right?) It took us almost 2 hours to get our entrees, painfully slow service. The food was about the same; my fish was pretty bland with no flavor and the prime rib had a weird fake smoke flavor to it as if it had been covered in liquid smoke. I would not go back to this place.
Had a great dinner at One Market with a colleague. She is a vegetarian, and said the gnocchi were the best she had ever eaten. My duck breast was cooked to perfection. Look forward to the prime rib at a future dinner!
Our lunch group of four met at One Market for the first time. Three of us has the prix fixe lunch for $27, which was good value and delicious. Service was excellent, and the location very convenient to BART and Market Street transportation. Look forward to a return visit!
Food always very good. Service always generally neglectful. Go only if you need a convenient location.
Valet Parking was a bit challenging. Could not see the sign and was not in front of restaurant. Had to circle 2X to figure it out. Challenging in a city environment.
I have been to One Market many times before and have never been so disappointed. I was there with a small work group (6 people) from out of the country so I did not want to create a scene or delay the dinner. The server was not as attentive as she needed to be, especially for a group spending more than $600 on liquor during dinner. We had to flag her down or ask someone else to get her multiple times, especially to get the wine poured as our glasses ran low (she was much better at the end when the restaurant was emptier - perhaps she was not getting enough help) and to get our check. My octopus appetizer was room temperature (supposed to be hot/grilled) but another person at our table had a hot dish. My filet was horrible but did not make a scene - I asked for medium and it was fleshy, medium rare at best. I like flavor but it was so peppery that it was hard to eat. No one I doubt I will recommend this restaurant to friends or business colleagues again.
Food and service were both very good. Had the Oysters, beet carpaccio and black cod. Great wine selection. Our waitress was very helpful and friendly. I left my sweater there and they called me afterwards and said they would put it in safe keeping which they did. Would definitely go back there the next time I visit SF.
Very nice, excellent food. Everything was as it should be. Prime rib dinner was amazing and a decent deal.
we had not been to 1 market in 4 yrs and were very pleased with all aspects of our dining experience.food and service were outstanding
Personally I loved my dining experience, but I felt it was a bit overpriced for both the lamb and wine - I would return to try other dishes perhaps the prefix menu next time
I went to an early lunch with one of my closest friends. The server was friendly and attentive throughout. We both had the chopped salad. It was plentiful and nicely presented. One Market always has a nice ambiance to it because of its many tall windows and views of Market Street and the Bay. It is one of my favorite San Francisco restaurants.
Oh what a night! Celebrating New Years Eve at One Market was the way to do it! The service was spectacular, the ambiance was amazing, and the food, it was the best of the night!
It was NYE, a pre fixed menu, the restaurant was packed. We had a second seating reservation for 9:00 p.m., we were seated a few minutes after 9:00. The food was lackluster (I’m being nice). Service was just ok.
New Year’s Eve
A New Year's Eve dinner was well orchestrated, delicious, and delivered with enthusiasm.
One Market is in a great location on the Embarcadero in San Francisco. We chose to dine there on New Year's Eve, taking advantage of their special 5 course dinner. We were seated promptly, and our server Laurie was most knowledgeable. Knowing that it was New Year's Eve, and the restaurant was sold out, we were so pleased with the excellent customer service from the server down to the busser and all staff.
We were able to select from a diverse choice of options for starters, entrees and desserts. Food quality. presentation and creativity were excellent, even on probably their busiest night of the year. We were pleasantly surprised by every dish, especially the Sunchoke Risotta with Black Truffles and the Braised Beef Cheeks with roasted bone marrow.
We will definitely dine at One Market again.
We dined here for New Year’s Eve and unfortunately our table was in an over-flow room that did not have the same feel as the restaurant itself. The room we dined in felt more like a conference room at an affordable, lower tier hotel! Fortunately, the service and food were outstanding and made up for the less-than-stellar atmosphere!
Lovely ambiance, delicious meals with generous portions.
