Our USDA Prime Angus steaks are sourced from stock-houses across the United States and we procure our fish from local and sustainable fisheries. The pride of our kitchen is our Montague Legend Overfired Broiler, which sears in the fresh flavors of your steak and seafood at a smoking hot 1500º.
We can't wait to have you as our guest.
Steve L was great, very attentive, answered our questions.
We enjoyed the food very much. Will return.
Great food and great service. Gets a little loud, but otherwise an excellent place.
Great food. But we asked for a booth and was told they all were reserved. Only one was taken by the time we left. They left the front tables at the window vacant which made the place look like it was not the place to be.
As always, great service, great ambiance and great food (minus the chicken, which I didn’t really care for but that’s what I get for ordering chicken at a restaurant where they make the best steaks anywhere.) This is our go to date night location and we were happy to share it with our friends this time around. They loved it and said they would be back. Can’t wait to go back and get the grilled romaine again. I dream of that salad. If you haven’t gone, GO. You won’t be disappointed.
Excellent as always!
Turns out it is possible to enjoy a bar-restaurant meal with bar patrons close enough to touch and noise at foundry levels.
We ducked out on a wedding buffet where the food was uncertain and it looked like a couple of hours before we’d be served. Nearby One-Eleven Coastal seemed worth a try and it was a good choice.
First, a round of appetizers — Caesar salad, misspelled on the menu, but chilled and tasty; chili, very hot, pleasingly spiced and delicious; and seafood chowder, cream-based, full of meat and nicely seasoned, but just warm. A loaf of sourdough bread, not complimentary, was tasty as a side dish.
Although a little dry, the roasted chicken could have benefited from a few minutes more in the oven. Fresh scallops (highly satisfactory) and sea bass w/ lobster cream (truly excellent) were accompanied by a chimichurri risotto, nicely cooked, but too bland for the entrees. Braised asparagus was a welcome accompaniment. St. Michelle Riesling went well with the meal.
Service was impressively friendly and prompt, which significantly made up for noise and crowding. No dessert (hoping for wedding cake). Coffee was strong and good. The restaurant might consider serving cream with the coffee. The milk went into the cup without any resulting change in color.
Don’t know when we’ll be back in San Clemente, but we’d certainly re-visit One-Eleven Coastal, crowd and all.
Great food. Great service. !
We were there early, soo noise level down, but as always our meal was delicious!
This place was absolutely fantastic! The atmosphere was great, Justin and his team were awesome! We both ordered the ribeye, it was delicious and my boyfriend enjoyed the sautéed mushrooms. There was so much food that I had enough for a whole nother meal. We will be back for sure!
Great experience! Food and drinks were exceptional! Steve L. Was the best! Will be back soon!
Overall great. Normally the grilled romaine salad is my favorite, but was not as good as other times. Something changed. Roasted cauliflower was delicious and my steak was cooked perfectly.
The food is very good here, and the atmosphere is relaxed and casual. But.... and a big but... the noise level is through the roof! Just too much. I'm over restaurants where I have to YELL across the table.
Food was delicious!!!
Been there twice. My favorite restaurant. The food is wonderful and the service and management very professional and efficient. Recommend it highly.
I really wanted to love 111 Coastal, and our waiter Ben made it easier with his personal, attentive and gracious service - top notch! I think their strength is meat dishes as my husbands short rib entree was melt in your mouth flavorful and tender. My sea bass was beautifully-presented but lacked flavor and delicacy I’ve had elsewhere. Just kinda meh. This place could be so much better with focus on the noise level issue and the taste of every single dish. That’s what separates 111 from its SC competitors.
Great experience! Our server (Ben) the cocktails, the food...ALL fantastic! Great "Date Night" spot, the vibe is upbeat but relaxing. Will definitely be going again!
Let’s just say out of six meals none was correct and 2 were edible
As always, we had an incredible experience at One-Eleven Coastal. The service was top notch, the food was excellent (best steak I have ever had, hands down) and the ambiance was conducive to conversation and a very pleasant visit with friends from out of town. Our go to restaurant for romantic dinners, date nights, and when friends and family are visiting from out of town. I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant.
This place has potential but it’s PAINFULLY noisy! (And by the way, Open Table, noisy does not equal “energetic”— it’s just loud). There has got to be a way to design a restaurant that doesn’t make you want to put a pillow over your head. I also want to point out that the three tables nearest ours were not yakking it up and shouting. They were two tables with couples dining, who could only talk by shouting— very romantic— and a larger table that included a baby. Restaurateurs, please recognize that “everyone” does not enjoy this so-called “energy”.
Excellent as always!
I was really excited to try this restaurant. The wait staff and bartender were great. I am sad to report that the food quality and preparation were not close to the beautiful advertising on the web.
Amazing food and great service !
We went for our anniversary and we loved everything. Best scallops ever!! Excellent service. Perfect cocktails. One of our SC favorites now!!
My wife and I had a great total experience at 111 Coastal for our anniversary dinner! Our waiter, Ben made some very good recommendations for drinks, appetizers and dinner. My wife especially enjoyed her first ever Whiskey Sour. My rib eye was perfectly prepared and finally we took dessert home to enjoy later.
Unfortunately the first impression we had when we entered the restaurant was a unpleasant odor. We decided to have drinks only - the odor changed our minds about eating there, with the prices on the menu. I hope there are plans to remedy the situation. Drinks were delicious.
It is a nice restaurant with good service. The food was very good. The ambiance is a little stark and the night we went it was not very crowded so it had a little empty feeling. If it were full I think it would be a little more lively.
There were 3 of us for dinner; our friend orders the chicken, said it was delicious. My husband ordered the New York, medium rare was very good however was a tad over cooked. I ordered the prom chop, flavor was very good however I found it to be a bit tough. We plan on going back but think I’ll try a steak next time. Service was excellent.
I love this place! It has such a San Clemente local vibe!
Excellent, attentive service, friendly staff. Food portions right on, quality very good. Looking forward to visiting again in the summer and sitting outside.
Food is good. It's a big, noisy room. There was hardly anyone there and we could hear every conversation at every table. Didn't have the wines on the menu.
After we were sat we
Waited 37 minutes for a drink
1 hour 22 minutes for the app
2 and 2 minutes hours for dinner and the steak was over cooked
Bad service my water was left empty for 18 minutes.
I watched other tables and the same thing was happening. The server said they were double booked but for the people that were sat already it should not affect their dinner service. They can only service the tables that were already sat, so doubling booking meant nothing to the timing of my food.
Bartender looked lost and could not handle.
Not happy not going back
My husband and I enjoyed a nice Sat night dinner the other day. We tried 2 Pinot noir wine and preferred the one from Oregon. I had the scallops which were delicious.
High quality food, but extraordinarily poor service and ruined the experience
One- Eleven Coastal had a great ambiance and feel for a restaurant. A little hard to find and parking is a hassle, however once you get passed that you are greeted with kindness. The wait staff is nice and helpful with their recommendations. The food was delicious and came out in a timely fashion. If you are looking for a nice night out with quality food, One- Eleven Coastal offers a variety of small and large plates.
Rib eye and salmon were perfect. Attentive waiter. Quiet setting. Enjoyable evening.
Very good food overall. The steak was delicious. Wine menu a little short, but overall drink selection is very good. Service was incredibly friendly and accommodating. Atmosphere was solid. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Valentine’s Day! It was a lovely preset menu complete with glass of champagne. Loved this place.
Fine service, excellent food. Owner came out to visit at the table, which was appreciated. Wish there had been more wines available. Will definitely return, especially for seafood.
The food was good. The place was about a third full and it was loud. Would recommend for the food, but tell them to go on a slow night.
Excellent tasty food coupled with wonderful service. Filet was superb along with mashed potatoes, scallops, Brussels sprouts... each was delightful. You know they are using top notch ingredients especially when you taste a uxardo cherry in their special bourbon cocktail, excellent. We’re new fans!!
