We had an incredible night at Omar’s Kitchen and Rum Bar. We started with two refreshing cocktails—the Rum Punch and the Ginger Mojito—perfectly balanced and full of island spirit. For small bites, the Saltfish Fritters and Jerk Chicken Wings were packed with bold, authentic flavors. Our mains, the Jerk Chicken and Sorrel Lamb Chops, were juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The Rice and Peas and Sweet Plantains sides complemented everything beautifully. To finish, we indulged in the rich and creamy Cheesecake, the perfect ending to a fantastic meal. The vibe, food, and drinks made it a truly memorable experience!

We had an amazing dinner at Omar’s Kitchen and Rum Bar! We started with the Scotch Bonnet Wings, Oxtail Tacos, and Saltfish Fritters—each one packed with bold, flavorful Caribbean spices. The Frozen Rum Punch was refreshing and kept flowing all night long. For mains, the Soursop Salmon with rice and peas was tender and unique, the Jerk Chicken had the perfect kick, and the Sorrel Lamb Chops were cooked to perfection with a hint of sweetness. We ended on a high note with a rich, creamy cheesecake. The vibe was just right—chill reggae beats, classic Bob Marley, and an island feel that made the whole experience unforgettable. Perfect spot for good food, strong drinks, and laid-back Caribbean energy.

Omar’s Kitchen is a tropical escape tucked right in the city. We kicked things off with a Hibiscus Martini and a spicy June — both dangerously delicious and full of island flair. The Honey Appleton wings were sticky, sweet heat perfection, and the Lamb Slider? A juicy little flavor bomb. For mains, the Red Snapper Escovitch came with that perfect tangy kick, and the Sorrel Lamb Chops were pure, tender magic. No room for dessert — portions here mean business. With reggae beats and laid-back energy, it felt like we skipped TSA and landed straight in Jamaica. Vibes and bites, unmatched.

We had an incredible dining experience at Omar’s Kitchen and Rum Bar! The Frozen Rum Punch was amazing, and the Tamarind Punch was out of this world—both perfectly balanced and refreshing. We started with the Honey Appleton Glazed Wings, which were packed with flavor, and the Salt Fish Fritters with Plantain served with garlic aioli, which were crispy and delicious. For mains, the Jerk Chicken with Jerk BBQ Sauce was unbelievably tender, and the Rice and Peas were flavorful and well-seasoned. The Deep Fried Red Snapper Escovitch with sweet plantain and festival was a standout crispy, well spiced, and perfectly cooked. Portions were generous, and while we didn’t have room for dessert, we’ll definitely be back to try them next time.

The service was terrible here that we left right away. We weren't greeted and told we could sit anywhere. After we sat down, the waitress didn't speak and started wiping off the table (which I appreciated, she just didn't say excuse me or let me wipe the is down while our phones were on the table) she then threw an iPad on the table that had the menu and didn't say anything to us and walked away. That's when and why we walked out and dined next door. It left such a bad taste in our mouth.

Took my nephew who was visiting from Dallas and a good friend. It was Valentines Day and Pre-Fixe menu which I usually don't like, but they have a nice selection of offerings in each category. I had the stewed oxtails and they were delicious! Our server was great and very attentive. Will go back.

This was a last minute reset for my daughter and I. I live in the neighborhood and wanted to stop by over the summer but never got a chance to. This past Friday night was the perfect opportunity and we both jumped on it. Virgie doubles are my favorite and theirs didn’t disappoint at all. My drink was delicious which was the rum punch. My entree was of course glazed lamb chop and I couldn’t have been more pleased. Thanks Omar’s for a great dinner.
